Yitel Collection (Shanghai train station)

Location is pretty good if you want to be near 上海站, but I’d say there’s not too much in the immediate vicinity (within 1km). However, still amazing value for money, beautiful clean hotel rooms, and friendly staff! (btw photo is of the Bund, not the hotel)

Hotel location is near the shanghai station so it's convenient if you bought train tickets departing from shanghai station. All hotel staff I met have been really friendly and helpful, very patient with my questions/ requests and also helping me find my tons of parcels everytime I ask for them (parcels are delivered to hotel front desk and they keep a log of ur parcels so it's very easy for parcel collection - you dont even have to look for them yourselves). Room was not very big but I would say its sufficient for 1 or 2 persons max. 1 thing to note however is that the hotel uses centralised heating so for those who came from hotter countries (like me) may not be used to it. I booked a room with windows specifically so that I can have cool air in the room, surroundings get quiet at night so i can still sleep even with the windows open. Room will be better with a mini fridge. Also, their food delivery robot doesnt seem to be working so all the food were delivered by the rider themselves personally (they have to ask for access card from the concierge staff). Also, no mini fridge in the room. Still a recommended stay for a chain hotel in shanghai, the price is acceptable and service is great!

Staff is frnly and helpful. Hotel quite clean. But there is one day i put make up room service bt the cleaner didn't come in. And one day i didn't put anything so I dont expect the cleaner to come in bt she came in. Location wise still ok. Walking distance to railway station bt need to cross the bridge. Not able to use warmer eventho the room is quite cold. The staff said is centralised. Breakfast is outside of the hotel where u get the coupon from hotel staff daily. Options still ok

Room is very clean. Location is good and convenient too. Staff is helpful and friendly. Will come back again to stay

The experience was generally okay. The bedding however wasn't being changed daily! The food was also not good especially for a tourist! I'd recommend not paying for breakfast at the hotel but getting your own from outside. Also, as you book, watch out for the rooms with windows 😂😂😂

Fancy decor. It felt like a gallery. The room was super clean and the breakfast was spectacular! It's super varied and has food from different regions.
