The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong

Great experience at the lounge. Suite panaromic view was spectacular. Gym, sauna and hot pool were well maintained. Enjoyed the breakfast view oriental pearl view.

My stay at the Ritz-Carlton Pudong SH was truly exceptional. The whole team speaks excellent English, and everyone was incredibly attentive. The breakfast was outstanding: delicate wontons, high-quality fresh products, excellent fruits, perfect pastries and great detox juices. I also loved the fact that you can actually see the chefs cooking and interact with them, it creates such a cool and authentic atmosphere. I also had dinner at the restaurant, which was good, although the wait was a bit long. A special thank-you to Molly, who was absolutely amazing throughout my stay, extremely professional, kind and genuinely dedicated. Thank you as well to Mike and his concierge team, who were always pleasant and helpful. I’m also very grateful to Monica, Director of Spa and Fitness, who saved me by helping me get ready in time. And finally, thank you to Julie, who even took time out of her own schedule to meet with me, she’s great at what she does and incredibly friendly. The Ritz-Carlton Pudong truly has an outstanding team, from the interns at reception to the managers. The perfect place for meaningful moments and warm reunions with my family.

An overall wonderful experience—excellent service and facilities! I especially appreciated the immaculate and kind service of the gentleman who served me my in-room dinner…he was great! Overall, each staff member I encountered at the Ritz-Carlton was kind, thoughtful, and well-trained, from the front desk staff to the restaurant staff and housekeepers. I will definitely be back!

It’s always a pleasure to stay in a Ritz-Carlton hotel. The location was perfect, literally at the proximity of the main points of interest especially for nightlife. The breakfast was perfect, we enjoyed the swimming pool which provides an astonishing sight of the skyline and Shanghai tower.

We recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai, and it was truly a memorable experience. The hotel exudes a sense of tradition and timeless elegance, and the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking — beyond words, really. I can confidently say it was the best view we've seen among all the hotels in Shanghai. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and warm hospitality. The level of service throughout our stay was truly outstanding. Check-in and check-out were both quick and seamless, which we greatly appreciated after a long journey. Although the building itself shows a bit of age, everything else more than made up for it. The room was immaculately clean, with the furniture and flooring well maintained and neatly arranged. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome letter and fresh fruit, which added a personal touch and made us feel truly valued as guests. The breakfast venue offered not only excellent food but also a stunning view, making every morning feel special. The service at breakfast was also consistently attentive and professional. While the swimming pool was a bit on the smaller side, my husband still enjoyed it during the short time he was able to use it. Once again, the staff there were helpful and courteous, ensuring a pleasant experience. If I had to mention one minor downside, it would be the slightly dated feel of the building itself. However, the incredible view, exceptional service, and overall atmosphere far outweighed that detail. Overall, I would confidently rate our stay as 9 out of 10.
