The location is great, close to Nanjing Road and the Bund by taxi. The room was clean, but the only downside was the toilet in the room I stayed in. It had a foul odor (probably from sewage), and the shower drain was clogged. The next morning, I went downstairs to negotiate a room change, but was told there were no rooms available and they would have to have a repairman come to repair it. Thinking of the smell, I immediately packed my bags and changed hotels. It was quite frustrating, and it completely disrupted my entire day's itinerary.
