Nostalgia S Hotel (Shanghai Railway Station Suzhou River)

The hotel service is superb, staffs are all welcoming and helpful. They upgraded us to a deluxe room which extra space is useful, overall spacious . The room amenities are very thoughtful and sufficient. They offer free mini bar, unlimited water bottle supply, free laundry services. I personally love this as it is very much convenient for longer days travelling and hassle free to get water . The location of the hotel is very convenient as right opposite is the entrance to the metro station. And it is very convenient to get a taxi to travel around the town.

Every single staff we've interacted with was super friendly and makes us feel very welcomed! We arrived before check in and although the room wasn't ready, they allowed us to do laundry first and very kindly explained how intimates and socks have to be washed separately with detergent provided in our room and then hung on heated drying racks in the washroom. One staff helped us with our luggage to the room and brought us through the amenities like how there's Xiaodu and how to turn on the shower etc. You can request for additional items from the front desk too (see last photo). Every night between 9pm to 11pm the hotel provides porridge for supper and I got it one night, it was quite yummy too The room smelled like baby powder when we entered and I really liked that! Room was also spacious considering we had 3 large luggage. Hotel location was not bad - 10-15min drive away from Nanjing Street and The Bund. There's also a small mall within a 5min walk. There's also a small wet market next to the hotel, with some snack stalls too - we grabbed a sandwich there the morning before our flight and it was quite delicious. Right opposite the hotel there are a few subway exits so that's really convenient too. Most of the time we Didi and it's easy to get in and out of cars too. Don't have to worry about oncoming traffic when alighting. Overall, we all enjoyed the stay here, highly recommend!

Very convenient and accessible, with a metro station serving 3 lines just diagonally across the junction. The counter staff were very friendly and helpful, there's free supper and simple takeaway breakfast for travellers who need. There's a roasted meat eatery next door. Ate the ¥18 roasted duck rice and it was good! :) Hear good reviews about the Hangzhou branch too. Seems I'll become a fan of this chain too

Good Place, Good staff, Good service. Big room smart toilet. Close metro station Dong ming road exit. No. 2,3 have escalator Walk a few step the hotel located on the opposite Arround hotel very quiet & safety. This station easy go to xintiandi.

It was a great base for exploring Shanghai. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful, they will even do the laundry for you! There was a slight misunderstanding as they only use a translator to communicate but not really a big issue. The location is also a few steps away from the metro. Would recommend to anyone having a trip to Shanghai!
