Home Inn Selected Hotels in Shanghai

The Hotel staff was absolutely very nice but it was a very horrible right from the airport to The finding the Hotel as none of the driver want to help (I paid） they just left me there and refused to find the Hotel for me saying that there is a GPS address . I really don't know who to blame but myself. and I was very wet and it was raining very heavily.. walking in the heavy rain finding the Hotel with no shelter and pulling my luggage, as well as have to navigate and showing my phone is not spoilt fr heavy rain. . I think they should actually put the right address to ensure travel to know how to assess. In short if you are familiar with Shanghai you can book with them but if first time traveller I do not encourage at all.

While this hotel boasts an excellent location, very accessible and within easy walking distance of The Bund and Nanjing Pedestrian Street, our stay had its challenges. We initially booked a room without a window, which we found unexpectedly claustrophobic. Thankfully, the staff was able to move us to a room with a window for a small additional fee. However, the new room was quite small for two people, though we managed as our stay was only for two nights. The room was somewhat clean, but our sleep was disturbed by a persistent sound of water leaking from somewhere upstairs. Despite these inconveniences, the hotel's prime location remained its strongest asset.

Needed a hotel in an area I had never been to before and this one did the job! Out of the way of the main attractions, but certainly some nice things around regardless. Good beds and pillows, nice staff, and a relatively simple check in process.

I booked a spacious two beds room with city view at this hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that there were only small rooms left. We had to go up the staircase with heavy luggage and saw that the room was tiny with no window, no wardrobe and hangers for clothes. We had to go down the stairs to ask for another room, the one we actually paid for and were put into the next room. It was a more spacious room but the view was awful with loud noises from the streets. Couldn’t sleep well the whole trip.

A Hidden Gem for Comfort and Convenience I had a wonderful stay at Home Inn Selected and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, cleanliness, and great value. The room was thoughtfully designed—modern, tidy, and equipped with all the essentials, including a very comfortable bed and a spotless bathroom. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile, making me feel truly welcome. The location was ideal—close to public transport, dining spots, and convenience stores, making it easy to get around and explore the area. Despite being in a bustling location, the hotel maintained a calm and peaceful atmosphere perfect for resting after a long day. If you’re looking for a reliable and well-kept hotel at a reasonable price, Home Inn Selected is an excellent choice. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

First, the cons: After checking in, when I pulled back the covers, I noticed a small stain on the bed. It looked like an old, persistent mark, which was a bit off-putting. 🤣🤣🤣 Now, for the pros: The location is excellent, with a dedicated pick-up/drop-off point. The hotel's environment is quite good; the lobby and corridors were well-maintained and clean. Delivery of tissues and toiletries was also very prompt. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, even assisting me with sending/receiving express packages, which I greatly appreciated.

The hotel is under refurbished. The entrance is not convenient due to renovation. The check in is fast. Cockroach in the bathroom due to renovation but the housekeeping crew was helpful. It's about 8mins walk to metro station. Plenty of shops nearby which I found is convenient.

The stay experience was very satisfactory! The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was thoughtful and meticulous. Special thanks to Ms. Zhang Fangfang at the front desk, who was enthusiastic and professional, with a friendly smile, handled the procedures efficiently and quickly, and also recommended nearby delicacies, making travel more convenient. I will choose Home Inn again next time, and I hope to meet such excellent service staff again! Highly recommended!

We choose this hotel for our final two days in Shanghai as it is not far from Pudong airport; Booked a small room, but, it has everything we needed for a short stay; you can find small markets and eateries within walking distance; Metro stop is about 15 minutes walking distance or can take bus after existing the metro station. Will consider staying here after landing or before leaving Shanghai.

Facilities: quite complete, the air conditioner is a bit loud, and the bathroom is a bit small, there is no place to put things Hygiene: quite clean Environment: Except for mosquitoes, everything else is okay Service: The service is very good and free parking spaces are provided.
