River-wood resort, lying within a dense forest next to a wonderful village, provides a luxurious accommodation. The place boasts of sexy washrooms and an outstanding service. An additional attraction is the swimming pool and catering service. The prices are fair, not to mention its location in relation to a gypsy colony. However, there were definitely some lows: bread with fungus and a steel wire instead of a rice bowl. As far as risk is concerned, one always has to be caution with gypsy drivers, who are perhaps a little wild at times. To sum it up, it must be stated that the place is enjoyed with pleasure.

Stayed here for a day at the cottage. Enjoyed every bit of the property and the hospitality. Food was average in quantity, quality of food is very good. The beautiful and “vann” view completely suits the name of resort vannraj.

A very clean, well proportionate room with ac and geyser in it, a single room good enough to cater the need of 5 to 6 people from a family. Great value equipped with vfm food arrangement that can also be arranged in room. Super satisfied and will opt always to stay again n again. We did a last-minute booking and ended up getting 1 deluxe room and 1 cottage for 2 families. But after spending quality time at the resort, we literally thanked our luck. It's one of the most well maintained resorts that i have visited so far. Location is a little inside off the main road, but that is what differentiates mv from others. Becuase of location it is a le to offer near to jungle feel. The room balconies face jungle area thereby giving constant feeling of jungle. Given a choice, i would recommend a cottage room as it also has private terrace machan as a sitout. Nature trails beyond resort let you walk through jungle. Food was not bad and had varied menus, including kids, freindly, bournvita, maggi, burgers, etc. Overall, mahua van n is one such resort that can be visited for true jungle experience.

I checked in with family and was allotted a room in a floor where works are going on. They should have avoided allocating rooms in the floor where works are going on. Uncleaned floor and worker trying to open the door. Very disappointing experience. Towels were old, stained and leaving lint. Limited options for breakfast was available. In the night we were told of a buffet breakfast however the same changed with 3 options given by hotel staff and added bread with buttrer and jam later. Despite of all issues the staff was very courteous. Would recommend this property to be avoided till it's work completion.

Property is good. Food is also very delicious. But the main requirement of a five star hotel is clean and maintained rooms. I stayed in room 610 for one night. There was a weird smell in the room. The carpet was not properly clean. Pillow covers were old and covered in lint. The bath tub was broken and a yellow liquid was oozing out of it. Shower curtains were full of lipstick stains. We asked the staff to change our room but there was no availability. They changed the shower curtain and asked us to use the foot mat inside the tub and stand on that and take bath.
Maybe if I had another room, then my stay would have been better.
Overall i would say don't go with the expectations of a five star. At best this was a 3 star experience.

The hotel has spacious rooms and the property is right on the highway. Cleanliness and hygiene are good. However, the room service is pathetic and rude. We ordered a tea that came after 30 minutes and was cold. After complaining, they assured another warm cup of tea shortly. Even after next 40 minutes, the tea didn’t come, and every time we enquired, we were told that the boy has already moved out of kitchen to deliver the keys and they hung up without even listening to customer properly.
