"Rimu Lodge was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, the owner, Sue Allen, made us feel incredibly welcome. Our room was beautifully decorated and offered a breathtaking view, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Every detail was thoughtfully curated—from the fresh milk for our tea and coffee to the complimentary drinks and chocolates, all adding to the sense of warmth and hospitality.
Breakfast was exceptional, with a delicious selection of cooked options to choose from. The entire experience was nothing short of wonderful. I highly recommend staying for at least two nights to fully appreciate the charm and comfort of this remarkable lodge."
"The room is really clean. It was newly renovated during our 2025 stay. with all the fire station items, it really make our stay interesting. One of a kind indeed."
"The self-driving trip from Christchurch to Greymouth lasted until very late, and we went to Pancake Rock and West Piont, a nearby 1-hour drive. After checking out the accommodation, this one suited our requirements better, so we decided to drive a little longer. Hokkitika, it was already past 11 o'clock when we arrived at the hotel. I called the staff and told them to put the key directly in the room. This is a family suite with 2 rooms. Because I booked one bedroom and one living room, the other twin room was Not used.
There is a Glow Warm spot in Hokkitika, but I didn’t go there because I arrived too late.
The living room of the room is spacious and can be connected to the APP for screencasting. There is a wireless charger on the dining table. The bathroom is relatively large and the bed is surprisingly clean and comfortable. When I wake up in the morning and look at the sun outside, I can see the local residents outside the window. It feels like I am living in a small town. On, unique and beautiful memories. Everyone put the 🔑 on the office desk when they went out in the morning. Overall, the impression was very good. recommend! !"
"Having a supermarket right across the street was super convenient for stocking up on supplies. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. It's very close to the coast, perfect for a leisurely walk. There are self-service laundry facilities available: detergent is 2 NZD, a washing machine cycle (50 minutes) is 4 NZD, and the dryer is also 4 NZD. It didn't seem heavily used and was spotless."
