"Lovely hotel, stayed for a long weekend and used the spa facilities - they gave us a free upgrade which was a nice touch! Beautiful grounds, restaurant was lovely and only a short scenic walk to the town
Only critique was the pool was quite small without much seating available and the sauna was male or female only - but the rest of the stay and amenities more than made up for it!
Also recommend the afternoon tea :)"
"In fact, the hotel is not called Royal Tunbridge Wells
It's Premier Inn Royal Tunbridge Wells , Trip.com The title should be wrong, but the experience of staying at the hotel is really great! The location of the hotel is excellent, just in the center of the town, whether it is to go to the train station or visit the famous pedestrian street The Pantiles , it is very convenient, and the surrounding parks and theaters are also within easy reach.
The hotel is located in a very distinctive building, formerly a court (Merevale House), and the internal facilities are very new after modern renovation. Our room was stylish and comfortable, the bed was particularly comfortable and slept well all night. Despite its central location, the room was very quiet and soundproofed. The room was spotless and air-conditioned and showered.
The hotel’s own Thyme restaurant is also commendable, we had a delicious dinner here, the breakfast selection was also very rich, the taste was great, and the new day was full of vitality.
Most importantly, every staff member of the hotel was very friendly and helpful, making our stay more enjoyable.
All in all, this was an impeccable stay. Whether it is location, hardware facilities or service, this Premier Inn is doing a great job."
"Critique professionnelle : Royal Wells Hotel
"A very good hotel. The bedroom was excellent with a very traditional decor. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were as expected.
The bar and restaurant was again very traditional with oak beams, real stone slab floors and comfortable seating and nice tables. The bar provided a very good range of beers, larger wines, cocktails and spirits. The bar service was excellent and prices were reasonable. The restaurant service was friendly and excellent. The menu range was also very good and prices again were very reasonable. Breakfast was included and the choices and service good. Car parking was more than adequate and free.
The one disappointment was that there was no bar food available at any time during the afternoon.
I would use this hotel again."
"Hotel is strict with 3 PM checked in. Unfortunately, it was the hottest day and we had the room number one which facing west & boiling hot. Aircon didn’t work in the room, staff had to put 3 fans & a portable AC but didn’t do much. Went out the whole day when back at night our room was still boiling hot measured 28’c. The lady manger was helpful but not much she can do to help cool down the room. The hotel was kind enough to offer 50% off our room rate upon check out."

AAnonymous UserUpon waking in the morning, I was disappointed that we arrived in the dark and had to leave early. The surroundings were picturesque with spring blossoms and rabbits everywhere.
I’d also like to visit the Salomon museum.
The room was clean , neat and fit for purpose.
GGuest UserIt’s in a great location for all you want in a town. It has a cool vibe & a nice buzz.
I was welcomed warmly, but disappointed to discover at check-in my room was on the 5th floor & no lift! A disability prevents me from doing many stairs. I was offered an upgrade for an extra £20, so I paid. (In hindsight feel this is a common practice & felt a bit conned). I then found out I still had 2 flights of stairs to the first floor!! 😩
The room was spacious & tastefully decorated as you will see by the photos. A spare bed in the room, great for families. Nice coffee & tea facilities.
I found the room very cold, so told a member of staff & asked if the heating was coming on or what could they do, I never heard from anyone in response, so was very cold in the evening.
If you don’t like to be cold & lots of stairs are a problem don’t book.
If those are not a problem then it’s a characterful hotel, with a great restaurant. Just avoid being talked into an upgrade!!!
CClive travelComfortable bed and pillows. Room temperature just right. Shower, good water pressure and temperature.
It’s not the most upto date hotel.
But is cosy and comfortable.
Breakfast, cooked to order. Hot and tasty.
The tea and the hot chocolate in the room is good.
The tea at breakfast is poor. When I book again I will take my tea from the room to breakfast.
YYINGEBreakfast was generous. The hotel is quiet. Transportation bus and driving are convenient. Free parking. In winter, park your car to the sun. Because the glass frosted, a bottle of water-washed frost was prepared in the car.
