"The courtyard is absolutely beautiful! My sister recommended this place, and it truly is stunning. It's even more delightful in person, and the room was spotlessly clean with all the necessary disposables. My friend and I didn't bring much, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the toiletries were from well-known brands, making us feel very comfortable and at ease. In the mornings, some tourists would take photos by the courtyard entrance, but the owner would politely ask them to keep their voices down so as not to disturb our rest. We even locked ourselves out late at night, and the owner, being incredibly kind, came out to help us open the door. Honestly, it's just a fantastic place, I loved it and will definitely be back!"

"This guesthouse truly lives up to its name, 'Absolute Art,' and is undoubtedly a masterpiece created by cultural figures and artists. It beautifully blends rich local ethnic charm with a distinctive artistic aesthetic. From the public areas to the rooms, downstairs to upstairs, and from every wall, door, and window to each stair, table, chair, tree, flower, and blade of grass, everything is a vibrant, meticulously arranged picture. It's no wonder it's become a popular photo spot in Shaxi. However, since it's a renovation of an old house, the bathroom is a bit small, and some facilities are lacking. Also, during the peak Chinese New Year period, driving in and out and parking were a bit challenging, and unfortunately, we had to pay for parking. The hotel staff, though seemingly few, were all very enthusiastic. They guided our car from outside the village into town and helped us find a parking spot, gave detailed instructions on using the various room facilities, and assisted with luggage during pick-up and drop-off. Coupled with its excellent location in the heart of the ancient town, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and dining, this is definitely the top accommodation choice in Shaxi Ancient Town!"

"This guesthouse has a story to tell. There's a 530-year-old ancient tree right by the entrance, home to a family of squirrels. As soon as I entered the room, I found a pair of chestnut-dyed cloth squirrels placed on the bed. Lying on the third-floor bed, the old tree glowed with life under the setting sun. The indigo-dyed soft couch on the terrace made me fall in love with Yunnan's sunshine, and the abundant flowers and plants everywhere showed the owner's passion for life. The guesthouse manager and the young lady's tea and dishes were unforgettable; that elegant, down-to-earth charm makes me want to return to this place again and again."

We arrived quite late, so we missed out on some services, but the staff were incredibly welcoming, and the complimentary gifts they gave us were super practical and high-quality products. Let me talk about the guesthouse's environment and design. This place clearly put a lot of thought into it, and it really impressed me. Every single detail, from a painting to a cup or a decorative item, felt thoughtfully chosen, and the aesthetic was absolutely on point. This is definitely not your average guesthouse! Furthermore, the shampoo and shower gel provided are the same high-end brands you'd find in five-star hotels like St. Regis and InterContinental. The toilets, pillows, and duvet, all the daily essentials, were incredibly well-selected! You can tell a lot of care went into choosing them. For breakfast, I chose the Western option, and both the ingredients and the presentation were incredibly fresh and well-balanced nutritionally. The latte art was beautiful too! 🤩 Plus, the guesthouse is located right at the entrance of the ancient town, which is an excellent spot! I initially chose this place because of its location, but after staying, I feel I made the perfect choice. My friends who stayed with me loved it too, and I recommended it to many people the very next morning. If I get the chance again, I'll definitely stay for a few more nights to fully soak it all in!"

"First off, the location is fantastic! It's less than a two-minute walk to the ancient opera stage and Xingjiao Temple, and you can reach Yujin Bridge or Ouyang Courtyard in under 10 minutes. The inn itself has a very rustic and clean feel. I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it looked exactly like the photos in the description, and the facilities were complete. The only minor issue was the shower water pressure wasn't very strong, but that might just be a common thing in the ancient town due to the water flow. Everything else was great, though! The breakfast was excellent, and the service was very attentive and responsive to all requests."
