Jianchuan Hotels with Balcony

We like the design and architecture of the accommodation, as it gave us the feeling of staying in an ancient city. Breakfast was served piping hot. Location wise, it was some distance away from the parking lot. Hotel staff would help carry our luggage from our car to the hotel, and vice versa.

This hotel is a gem in Shaxi Town and should not be missed. We are happy to have had the opportunity to stay for 1 night, and only wished we had more days in Shaxi. The hotel is in a beautifully restored ancestral home, with rooms that are modern and beautifully appointed with a lot of thoughtful amenities provided. Breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. The hotel staff from the ladies at the front desk to housekeeping were really friendly and helpful. They gave us recommendations on what to see and where to eat in Shaxi. We appreciated the extra touches such as having warm milk brought to our rooms as a nightcap. Special thanks to Yan Yan who took care of us on our last day and was also our teacher in the Jia Ma wood printing experience. We had a great time during the experience and left Shaxi with a special souvenir.

quaint guest house that is run by a retired HK couple, they provided the warmest welcome during our entire trip, and we felt so at home! we spend quite a while chatting with Ms May and her husband and enjoyed the exchange. facilities are homely and basic, with a lovely garden and a kids play area. total of 8 rooms. shaxi ancient town is such a gem, quaint, quiet and is a place where you can really slow down your pace to appreciate what yunnan china is like. spend your time wandering around shaxi ancient town, it’s small (1 hour exploration) but definitely take the time to sit with a cup of coffee or a book. take the yellow taxi (electric buggy) to explore the various smaller towns that surround shaxi. there are appx 7 smaller towns, each with its own charm… we only had time to explore beilongchun, where the pace of life is slow, quiet and healing. the higher you hike, the views are very different! some places to check out: - shaxi avant garde book shop u - universal bakery (alien mascot bakery that sells sourdough, hard crust bread) - bailong tan (small lake) - 山风院子 which has a tree house and a mini cafe - shaxi tea horse museum - old stone bridge, in the afternoon an elderly couple would be there with their goats and you can buy goat milk or take photos. - shaxi friday market!!!

Shaxi old town itself is a true gem on its own, and this place is a gem in a gem. Hidden just outside of the Shaxi old town, it's proximity to the town square （寺登街）is a big plus. The landscape is super cozy, highly suitable for those who want to really have a good break from the hustle and bustle of city life, resting ones mind in an uninterrupted environment. Let's not forget the lady owner taking care of the place, who is so accommodating and helpful. And let's not forget the hot fresh milk provided every evening, which gives another level of warmness to the stay. Notes: if you are here on a Friday, you are of luck. The farmers market held weekly on Friday is just a few minutes walk away from this guesthouse too!

As someone who has high requirements for accommodation quality, I usually choose Club Med or international chain hotels in the past, especially in places I am not familiar with. However, this experience completely changed my perception. Qingye is not only completely comparable to a five-star hotel, but also has a spacious space and a sense of closeness to nature. The hardware facilities, interior decoration, sanitation, breakfast, afternoon tea and service attitude are all top-notch! What particularly surprises me is that there is actually a small library filled with sunlight, which makes people unable to help but stop for a moment and enjoy the silence. In addition, the farm on the top of the mountain is also worth mentioning. Children can feed the cows and sheep with their own hands, while the adults chat leisurely in the sun and spend a pleasant afternoon, as if time has slowed down. I sincerely feel the hard work of the owner and his wife, and I believe their business will prosper. This is definitely an unforgettable vacation experience and will be our family’s first choice when visiting Shaxi in the future!

The boss was very enthusiastic. It was a bit rainy when we arrived that day, so two sisters came to the parking lot to pick us up in advance. The B&B is located on Sideng Street, which is very convenient for travel. It is about a two-minute walk from Yujin Bridge and the ancient theater. The courtyard has a beautiful environment and is very stylish. The air is filled with the fragrance after the rain. The boss was very considerate and helped us turn on the floor heating air conditioner in advance. Since it was the off-season for travel, he also helped us upgrade the room type for free. It was very pleasant to have afternoon tea in the hotel in the afternoon, and the mood was not affected by the rain at all. The hygiene is also very good, the room is very clean, the bedding and toiletries are of high quality, and the snacks and drinks in the mini bar are also very good! The breakfast is very rich and tastes very good! Eating a bowl of hot rice noodles in the morning makes me feel so happy! I feel like home! Highly recommended!

The small courtyard is hidden behind the persimmon tree in the alley. It is a different world after entering. The room is very comfortable. The two young ladies are also very polite. They will take the initiative to greet you when you come in and out. Although the afternoon tea is simple, it is still comfortable and cozy to drink tea and enjoy the breeze in the courtyard. The Chinese breakfast we chose tasted very good, and the noodles were very fragrant. I ate two bowls.

Pleasant and comfortable stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Shaxi and this B&B. The room was modern and clean with essential amenities and snacks provided as well. The host runs the B&B single-handedly with just one cleaner to help. It is admirable and amazing how she manages to provide excellent service and keep the B&B in great condition, whilst taking care of her adorable baby! The host even provides buggy shuttle service to and from the Shaxi ancient town and will be able to arrange for drivers if you wish to go to more inaccessible sightseeing locations where DiDi pick up might be uncertain.

Luli Mountain House is great! Generally, I don't comment. I can't help it this time. I used to worry about the poor health of the homestay, but it doesn't exist here and it is very clean. You can nest anywhere you want to nest for a day. It’s too comfortable. The design of the homestay is superb. The room layout is also very exquisite. There are only three rooms in total. They are all superb. It can be said that there are scenery everywhere. The boss is super nice! I originally decided to come to Shaxi temporarily. I have to come often in the future, hahaha

When I came to Shaxi for a short stay, my friend recommended Banxi Mingyue, where I had stayed before. It really didn't disappoint me. Both the interior and exterior are super beautiful, with good design and high-end style. There is a special detail - there is a desktop trash can on the sink, which is very considerate! I arrived late on the first day and it was past tea time, but the housekeeper sister still arranged it for me. I chose Chinese breakfast for breakfast on the second day. After watching the sunrise, a bowl of hot rice noodles in a small pot was so comfortable! I bothered the housekeeper sister several times throughout the whole process, taking mosquito coils, adding mineral water, asking for directions, and taking luggage. She responded enthusiastically and quickly, and felt the same enthusiasm as family members. Click 32 likes!
