"We only stayed for one night from our base in Kota Kinabalu as a last minute booking. The location is very pretty with magnificent views and staff very friendly and welcoming. There is on site parking. We were allocated a second floor room in a block next to the main building, which was very spacious but in dire need of redecoration and renovation. Paint was peeling from the walls and ceiling, bathroom fittings loose and broken, some lights not working and balcony railings rusted. Despite this we had a good time and nice breakfast in the little cafeteria with lovely staff. I feel that Agoda should update their photos to give an honest update on the condition of some of the rooms."

"Lovely welcome. Had tour around the tea factory. Room was fairly basic but comfortable - no fridge which could be useful in the heat. Views from terrace and restaurant are amazing. Unfortunately it rained on the morning we were going to walk up to see the sunrise over Mount Kinabalu. Food was very good - loved the sweet and sour fish. No beer or wine which would have been nice to have with the meal. Staff were lovely. Had a good stay."

"The hosts are wonderful, friendly people who made our stay comfortable. Our room was a small room with a bed, a table, air conditioning and a combined bathroom. The room is clean. You can order food delivery and it will be delivered fairly quickly, the food is delicious. You can buy coffee, tea, and drinks on site. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the entrance to Hot Poring Springs, but they can give you a ride for free. There is a transfer to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan. More expensive than Grab, but you can't call a Grab from there. Grab cost us 200 ringgit from Kota Kinabalu, the transfer back cost 300. Don't expect luxury from this place (or from others nearby). It's like visiting your grandmother in the village). Very soulful."
