"I was torn between Guanfang and Shilin initially, but I'm so glad I chose Shilin in the end! 1. The service was exceptional! Manager Wu (a gentleman) at the front desk was incredibly attentive, making us feel completely at ease while traveling. Ms. Xun Dongmei, from room service, always had a warm smile and went above and beyond to fulfill our requests. All the staff at Shilin were wonderful, making our stay feel incredibly welcoming. 2. The breakfast was outstanding! It surpassed the two other five-star hotels we'd stayed in previously. They offered delicious local specialties like 'posubao' (flaky steamed buns) and 'zheners' (steamed rice noodles), and the variety changed daily. 3. The location is perfect, right at the foot of Liaokuo Mountain Park, making it incredibly convenient for hikes. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, and the area is quiet with fresh air. Taxis are also readily available. 4. We loved that the TV offered free access to online TV shows and movies! This is a huge plus, as many hotels only provide live TV channels. 5. I had the best Cross-Bridge Noodles of my life at Shilin Hotel. I've had countless bowls over the years, but none have ever compared to these. Remember to make a reservation in advance, as the pot needs to bake in the oven for 40 minutes."

It's fully smart, and the best part is the TV – watching movies on it is awesome, and listening to music is even better, the sound quality is top-notch! The bed is also super big. I had lived in a suitcase for over 35 years in various types of hotels in various hemisphere in this planet including 6/7 star at Dubai and i have to say that after many years of traveling the rooms,the bed and the facilities after a while become very much the same everywhere. It is the exception one look at. Example, front desk are not just pretty face smiling at you. They don't react. They respond well in crisis, in stressful and in duress. They add value. They do things for you that might seem petty, trivial or ordinary. I could go on. And so i want to say thank you to everyone. To front desk - you all are better than anyone i had seen for a long long time. Keep up the good work.To the housekeeping at 6th floor 沈 I honor you. To the aunty 朱 who tirelessly goes around to keep the hotel immaculately clean everywhere and assist my laundry , i salute you. To the restaurant aunties who wake up at 5am to serve warm breakfast to guests and still smile at you, i am grateful for your services. I leave this hotel with fond memories. 11 points from me. Enjoying the warm care of the majority of employees, I was very touched and satisfied in all aspects. This time, the front desk was picked up by the beautiful Xiao Chen and the handsome guy Xiao Huang. Although there were many people, they were still methodical, smiling and welcoming. The lobby manager beauty Xiao Wang cared about us as always and arranged a spacious and comfortable room. The room service on the 6th floor Xiao Chen was warm and friendly, and asked for warmth. He tried to meet the needs as much as possible. He was very warm. After staying for a few days, I feel that the hardest restaurant service is worthy of praise. The handsome chef and Xiaorong are all turning around, cooking delicious breakfast and very delicious supper rice noodles for everyone. The professional service of these excellent staff makes us feel at home. Thank you! Highly recommend travelers."

The 'Sweet Dreams' bed was just the right balance of firm and soft, and the down pillows were wonderfully fluffy – all my fatigue just melted away. The blackout curtains were thick and effective, blocking out light and noise, so I fell asleep quickly and slept deeply. The room had fresh air with no strange smells, and the temperature and humidity were perfect. I woke up feeling refreshed and full of energy in the morning.
