As usual, the Sofitel Marrakech is my favourite hotel in town. I have been a regular customer for more than 15 years and I still enjoy every minute of my stay over there. The friendliness of the staff, the management and service is just top world-class. I can't wait to return once again to this place which I call my home away from home! Keep up the good work!

We have been fortunate to travel the world and stay in many of the most renowned hotels globally, including two decades in Asia, but the Mandarin Oriental Marrakech stands out for being an exceptional resort hotel in a magical city. The gardens, public areas and pool are beautiful, the villas amazing, and the food throughout is fantastic (Ling Ling, breakfast and room service all excellent). However, the genuine hospitality of Marcel Thoma and his excellent team made our stay truly memorable - nothing was too much trouble, and we felt special from the moment we arrived to the last farewell. We visited and ate at several of the other well known hotels in Marrakech - so glad we booked the Mandarin as it is definetely the best by far in my opinion. We had a truly wonderful stay. Thank you so much to the incredible MO Marrakech team - we can't wait to return!

It is little bit far from the city center but hotel is amazing like a heaven on earth. Architecture and landscape is perfect. Spa personnel is not kind and friendly. And also there was a problem in the bathroom with water they waited for fixing and cleaning so long.

Definitely a very very old heritage hotel with a lot of history! The hotel premises are stunning. The reception and lounge staff were so nice and helpful.
I do think, the hotel could do with a litte but of refurbishing especially for the rooms. But I cannot complain! Got the best deal, and had a really good time and the breakfast out in the garden under orange trees was like straight out of a movie! Loved it!!!
Great location, close to many more hip and happening hotels, bars, restaurants and cafes.

The environment and architecture are very good, but the service is at the level of an ordinary hotel, and I feel that it is not worth the premium. For example, my friend and I arrived at different times, but the hotel was only willing to provide one free pick-up for each room. In the end, they were willing to reimburse my friend's taxi fare for the outbound trip only after our room canceled the airport drop-off service. It was very troublesome. Domestic hotels that cost two to three thousand RMB a night all provide free pick-ups per person. Aman in Luang Prabang, which is of the same brand as yours, also arranges free pick-ups for each guest every time they go out of the hotel to play. In addition, when we were having breakfast, the staff spilled juice on another friend of ours, and did not apologize, nor did they clean up the juice on my friend and on the ground. In short, the service of this hotel is not up to par, and I will not go there a second time.

Uniquely Moroccan. La Sultana Marrakech is a collection of five historic riads- close to the Royal
Palaces with lovely courtyards and gardens -an ionised pool- good food and a pampering spa - It
makes the perfect Marrakech base where you can get your city bearings from a panoramic rooftop
terrace.
A serene- bejewelled haven. Everywhere is a feast of copper- marble and wood festooned with
antiques and artefacts works of art and sculpted or painted ceilings. The perfect antidote to
minimalism and a celebration of Moroccan grandeur.
Visit the spa for a traditional hammam and hydrotherapy.Relax in the pool a cooling retreat from the
bustling city outside and then dine on the chefs renowned progressive cuisine either in the courtyard
or on the rooftop.
La Sultana Marrakech is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property.

The hotel is located in the heart of the old town. Close to an ancient tomb that is more than 500 years old. There are many people visiting every day. This hotel can be said to be called Taoyuan in the city, but the surrounding environment is not very good. According to the waiter, the hotel started building a new building in 2002 and first bought a house, and later bought eight more. The owner, a Frenchman, renovated the nine houses as a whole and connected them together. The design is very elegant, reflecting the Moroccan national style. Every detail is very delicate and can be called a work of art. The three-story roof is covered with flowers and various layouts. Very novel. It feels extremely cozy.
The hotel's food and beverage varieties are relatively small and the taste is average, not as good as other nine points. The price is not cheap either.
Overall, this hotel is quite unique. Staying for a day or two is no problem.
In an ochre-colored building, ibis Marrakech Centre Gare offers 109 comfortable rooms with A/C, private bathroom, desk area, flat-screen TV and unlimited free WIFI. Its restaurant serves an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast, and its 24-hour bar and sunny garden with terrace and swimming pool promise wonderful moments of relaxation close to the tourist sites of the Red City.

What a gem of a property in the Accor catalog of accommodation and hospitality! I am a senior, solo, single traveler, and Ibis rooms are just fine with me! The Wi-Fi could be a little bit better, but that's the problem with the vendor and the Internet service Provider, not the Ibis. Although this Ibis would be within their rights to demand better service- in 2023, with 100+ rooms. I came directly from an Ibis in Lisbon, which had fewer items for breakfast, and no Chef for evening dinner! The breakfast is a wonderful mix of Moroccan, Arabic, French foods, but also American/English. Scrambled eggs are made without dairy, and I brought my own gluten-free bread from Carrefour to be sure. While they do have a container of Honey, I bring my own, as I don't like touching containers and spoons touched by other customers... another customer absconded with my honey yesterday, and one of the wait staff had to retrieve it! Three languages are spoken here: Moroccan, Arabic, French, and plenty of English. Any word that is too specific can be translated on any of the web translation sources. Like when I needed to explain that DHL was bringing a package with my gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that Carrefour does not stock! There's been some shuffling of the wait staff in the last few days, but besides being new, quiet, and shy, they are all talented and all understand hospitality. The evening dinner is attended to by the top echelon of the hotel staff and everything is more than fine – which in my case means a very plain and simple American taste. Since I don't carry currency, the evening food bill goes on my room tab. Breakfast was part of the booking in the first place, but I don't fully understand what ”half-board” means, if that means evening dinner, so I will be inquiring about that. Being next-door to the train station means it's a three minute walk to excellent sight seeing and people watching. And McDonald's of you so care, and at least two mobile phone SIM shops. Carrefour is a 10 minute walk, and there is a shopping mall which is about a 20 minute walk which I will be visiting for recreation purposes and window shopping, to get a feel for the retail culture of this city. And people watching! I did read about the potable water situation on a Moroccan tourism page. This Ibis has plenty of bottled water, so just ask- at Reception and of course in the Restaurant. I also read about cash versus credit card. The three places that I have spent money at have all accepted cards. It is currently Ramadan, but this Ibis respects International tourists' needs and wants. No disruption of service- and the staff seem to be very happy to be celebrating the holiday. My room had two minor maintenance issues, which were resolved quickly. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and well manicured. I have stayed with other brand name chain hotels in the US and Europe. There is nothing in this historic building that is outdated, or in need of renovation. The most important

We had a great stay. Clean and nice room with comfy bed. Breakfast by the pool was great. Staffs were nice and friendly especially the door gentleman! Check-in was a bit of a pain as it took ages (lack of staff when i arrived)… we needed to rest badly but had to wait for like 20 mins. Lifts are very old and slow but luckily there wasn’t many guests so it wasn’t a burden. Ingeneral i think it was a good value hotel. We would come back!

As many have already stated this Riad is amazing! Gilles and his staff go above and beyond and it really feels like a personal and homely experience staying here. Our highlight was the food! The breakfast is amazing with everything homemade (jams, yoghurt, cake) that really sets you up for the day ahead. We loved the yoghurt! We paid for the tasting menu at the Riad when we arrived as we landed in the evening. This was again delicious and meant we didn’t need to find somewhere to eat on arrival when we didn’t know the area yet. You can ask for a traditional Moroccan mint tea at any time too. The area for us felt really safe, it is on the edge of the Medina so you are close enough to the hustle and bustle of the Souks but the Riad itself was in a calm and quieter location. It’s also close enough to one of the main roads that you can easily get a taxi, though we walked everywhere. As others have stated - Gilles is extremely helpful and will give you advice on where to visit and any other questions you might have. I got henna done at the Riad which was much safer and cheaper than having it done in the main square. If you are looking to buy any Argan oil during your stay - Gilles sells real Argan oil at the Riad for a good price, don’t be tricked into buying fake Argan oil at the Souks like I was! The rooms have high quality shower gel, shampoo and body lotion with a little Argan oil too. This was ideal for us as we were limited on liquids to bring in our hand luggage. The rooms have both a ceiling fan and air conditioning. As it is a traditional Riad the rooms stay cool without air conditioning (even in 39 degrees Celsius heat) so we only used it now and again. We really hope we will visit again in the future, thank you Riad Abaca Badra!
GGuest UserNice riad, clean and quite place. Easy to find it,from placa Jemaa El-fna 10 min walking. They have beautiful roof top and there they served brekafast.Breakfast is great. Service ij this riad is so nice. They care for everithing you need. High reccomed !
MMINXINVery suitable for taking pictures, the location of the hotel is actually okay, compared to Marrakesh is not big, before the taxi must tell the driver a good price, from the hotel to the train station to play the train as long as 10, the driver is hard to live 50, it is recommended Fierce

GGuest UserVery good experience, very suitable for taking pictures, and very good movies.
Environment: very beautiful
Hygiene: clean
Facilities: Although there is a sense of age, this courtyard hotel experience is the beauty of the sense of age.
TTraveler41125762543The building was beautiful and about 300 years old. Our host Mustafa was super helpful and he spoke good English. Our room was located directly facing the inner courtyard and it could have been noisy, but the other guests were considerate and didn't disturb us. The room was a bit small for two persons and quite simple (like rooms in riads usually are). The breakfast was good. The only downside was the location outside of the medina. The were no restaurants nearby and the walk to Jemaa el-Fna took about 25 minutes on the chaotic streets. Taxis were cheap and plentiful though. The riad was also a bit difficult to locate (in the end of a narrow alley not shown on the map), but we did find it without assistance.
GGuest UserThis Hotel has so much potential to be amazing but I have a couple of comments to make. 1. The Hotel is run by very few staff. The few staff that run is are AMAZING but I can't help but feel they are over worked and they're there 24/7. I cannot fault them particularly the guys who are there from breakfast till the bar closes. Hats off to you for being polite, professional and so accommodating despite clearly there not being enough staff. Management I do feel this needs to be addressed. 2. Cleaning staff are amazing. Our room was spotless. Clean towels and bedding every day, so thank you too! Pool was looked after very morning. 3. The hotel grounds are stunning. It's like a little paradise and again spotless. 4. Food. They have the same menu every single day. I suspect due to lack of staff. It gets boring although very nice food, there needs to be some kind of rotation. We paid for all inclusive and had to spend more money to eat out as we needed a change! 5. We had a 2 bedroom family apartment which was huge, beautifully furnished and overlooking the pool. Cannot fault it. 6. Breakfast was disappointing out of all the meals. Very limited and like someone else has said a lot of flies. We ended up not bothering which again was annoying as we had committed to the all inclusive option. Overall this hotel is really lovely and definitely worth a visit and if the staff and menu issues were addressed I would happily give it a 5* review.
Jamila was great with the room cleaning and help with the coffee pods! The room was excellently cleaned with extra towels provided at our request. Jamila was great with the room cleaning and help with the coffee pods! The room was excellently cleaned with extra towels provided at our request.
GGuest UserIf it's your first time trying out a Hostel go try this one out! My first time in the country and I couldn't been able to ask for a more pleasant hostel experience! You get to meet different people from all around the world and the people from this Hostel made me feel safe and informed. Younes was a legend! He was very accommodating until the very end where he accompanied me until my taxi to the airport. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
GGuest UserWhere to start… first, the pictures as well as the majority of good reviews are very very outdated. The hotel requires some serious renovation, it’s literally falling apart: the furniture is shabby, tv doesn’t work, towels are dirty, birds’ droppings are all over the pool area, gym equipment is from the 90s. The food in the restaurant is uneatable (apart from the breakfast, it was basic but good). The worst thing about it is that the reception actually only works from 9am-7pm, so if your check out is outside of this frame- the receptionist will call you multiple times asking you to come pay the day before. Isn’t a 24h reception a basic for a 5 star hotel? We also asked for a breakfast basket since we had to leave the hotel 30 min before the breakfast starts (8am) which is a very standard practice. The receptionist lady (hello, Sofia) was extremely rude, her answer was « MADAME, as I said, the breakfast starts at 8, there is nobody to give you food before ». This hotel is the furthest from 5 stars that I’ve ever experienced in my life and I travel very frequently. The receptionist’s attitude is appalling, they will also offer you to get a « touristic taxi » which charges 20 eur for every trip to centre Marrakesh (don’t do it, just use the apps and pay 5-10 eur instead). There are a lot of good hotels in Marrakesh, please stay elsewhere.
AAlehaslam890I strongly advise against staying at this hotel due to a significant security breach during my stay. While I was utilizing the hotel’s spa services, an individual gained unauthorized access to my room, resulting in the theft of personal property. Despite the hotel being the sole entity with access to guest rooms, and the absence of security cameras in the hallways, the management has refused to take any responsibility for the economic damages incurred. This lack of accountability is both concerning and unacceptable. Under basic principles of hospitality and legal obligations, including the innkeeper’s duty of care, it is reasonable to expect that a hotel provides a safe and secure environment for its guests. However, this hotel has failed to meet even the most fundamental standard of care, leaving guests vulnerable to theft with no recourse for restitution. For potential guests, it is important to note that this hotel does not take necessary precautions to protect guest safety or property. The absence of surveillance in common areas, combined with management’s refusal to assume any responsibility, raises significant concerns regarding the hotel’s practices and security measures. I urge others to reconsider their stay at this establishment and to be fully aware of the potential risks involved. Photo of one of the items stolen from my room.
