We stayed for 3 nights and the accommodation & service was perfect. All rooms are facing the pool area. The breakfast buffet is excellent š, and it really motivates you to wake up early!
I requested a birthday surprise setup in our room, and they went extra mile and provided it for free as a complimentary gesture.
The room is very spacious, and they provide toiletries. If you need extra toiletries, they will deliver it right away!
The pool area is great for swimming, especially during happy hour. They offer a buy-one-get-one-free deal on drinks at the pool bar.
The hotel is walking distance of Alona Beach and itās very safe, as you just walk through Hennan Alona to get to the beach. Itās also close to restaurants, fast food, souvenir shops. 8mins away from the Panglao Airport.
Weāll definitely stay here again when we return to Bohol. Itās worth every penny. If I could rate it more stars, I will! āļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļø

Our room already had a double bed and a single bed, which was enough for three people, but when we checked in, the front desk forced us to pay for one more person's accommodation, and then added an extra bed to us. Don't you think this is clearly a rip-off? If you are a family, please think twice. I don't recommend this hotel.

Just 15 mins from the airport. The rooms are very cozy, cleanliness is 10/10. The facilities were maintained. A bit pricey but worth it. The breakfast buffet menu was different from day to day. Staffs were polite and helpful. Tawala is walking distance from the beach also so really worth the stay.

First of all, the resort is nice, clean and the staff is the most friendly we have ever had.
Here is why we only give 1 out of 5 points :
The management of the resort is unfriendly, impolite and arrogantly and did not help us in a specific situation.
After 2 days we had ants in our room, and when my wife opened her suitcase there where hundreds of them in her clothes. (We only had clothes in the suitcase, no food) we put all clothes out of the suitcase and housekeeping cleaned it. We could not get the ants out of the clothes so we put them in a bag, and asked the hotel If they could wash it. They said they can try to get ants of the clothes but washing would cost about 1 dollar per piece. (We had like 70-80 pieces). So we agreed and in the evening we got the bags back, clothes still full with ants. We went back to reception, talked to management again, they said we had food in the room, and there were also used clothes in the bag, we have to pay for washing. I told them that there was no food, only in the fridge and packed food outside. Management lady didn't even listen what I said, just repeated we had food in room and used clothes in the back. (She thought we wanted a free wash for our used clothes, but there were only like 10% used, because they were in the suitcase in a separate bag, but also full of ants). So she did not help, I went out the resort get all clothes washed. During that time housekeeping cleaned room and got ants out. Next day ants again. We changed the room. No more ants for 6 days, we eat bananas mangos melon like before ... No ants. I found out that right beside our room there was a trash bucket, and there were lots of ants coming out of the ceiling. Ants are in the ceiling (we lived on top floors) and so they got in the room. It was their fault, they just could have helped us with washing our clothes . It would have cost them nothing. So we lost a lot of time and good mood by discussing and getting rid of ants. But the worst thing was, to be treaded so bad by the management lady. There was no friendliness, nothing!
One more thing about the breakfast. We are vegan and we wrote them an email 2 weeks ahead and did not get any answer. When we arrived we told them again and the chef asked what he can cook for us. We got gluten-free bread, rice or noodles and fried vegetables for 10 days. Asked for some vegan pancakes or something else. They did not how to do it.
At the end when checking out we asked if we could keep the beach towels till 2 pm for 3 more hours, because our daughter always naps on the beach. They wanted an extra 75 dollars for that 3 hours.
And for all that we paid 210 dollars per night- definitely NOT worth money. A change in management and half price would be fair for the hotel. We definitely can not recommend it!

We stayed at Henann Tawala Hotel for a week upon arriving in Bohol, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, living up to its 4-star rating. Upon arrival, the staff were very attentiveāour bags were handled, and we were offered breakfast while our early check-in was expedited.
One thing to be aware of is the 3,000 pesos per night damage deposit. If paid by credit card, any charges, such as room service or drinks at the swim-up bar, are deducted from it, with the balance refunded after checkout.
The breakfast area is beautifully presented, with friendly staff who greet you warmly. After giving your room number and surname, youāre escorted to a table. However, we noticed some inconsistency in serviceāon some days we were offered coffee or tea, while on others we werenāt. There were also times when water wasnāt provided, so we ended up with double servings after fetching it ourselves. Consistency in service would enhance the experience, but the self-service station for coffee, water, and juices was convenient.
Breakfast options were excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all preferences. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. One small issue was being asked to leave a yogurt behind when I tried to take it out of the breakfast area. I understand the rule to prevent excessive takeaway, but I felt a little flexibility could be applied for small items.
The rooms at Henann Tawala are impressiveāspacious with great bathrooms and lovely balconies. Among the best weāve stayed in, theyāre comparable to high-end hotels like Radisson Blu in Cebu or Seda Ayala Central Block.
The reception staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged a reasonably priced van for our trip to Tagbilaran, and the driver was punctual, providing a comfortable ride. He even dropped us off at the right spot for catching a van to Anda at the Dao Bus Terminal.
One nice perk of staying here is the short walk to Henann's beachfront property, where you can use the sun loungers shaded by palm trees and enjoy drinks served by the staff. However, you canāt use the pool there, and you need to pick up towels from Henann Tawala before heading to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but there are quite a few hawkers selling tours, which can be a bit of a nuisance. We found better deals on Facebook. The sea is warm, though thereās a fair amount of seaweed. Iād recommend snorkeling to watch your step, as there are starfish and possibly sea urchins. We only swam once. If you buy mangosteen from beach vendors (150-200 pesos), check for ants, as one of our bags was full of them!
Just outside the hotelās main gates, thereās an ATM and a laundry shop that charges around 400 pesos for 5 kg, returning clothes washed, dried, and folded by 5 pm. Itās much cheaper than the hotelās laundry service. We also tried the Kajun Restaurant nearby, which offers excellent chicken sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes in an American diner style.
On the beachfront, our favorite restaurant was the Oasis Resortās upstairs bar and restaurant, which has a cooling breeze and a great view of the beach. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and we highly recommend it.
While our stay at Henann Tawala was wonderful, Panglao itself felt quite touristy. There were many Korean tourists, and a lot of locals trying to sell tours and services, which sometimes felt overwhelming. Prices were higher than we expected, especially for things like tricycles, which cost 150 pesos per person compared to the 12 pesos we paid in the provinces. Restaurant prices were also inflated, and even basic supplies came at a premium.
If you prefer a quieter, more authentic experience, Iād recommend visiting somewhere like Anda. It has a more laid-back, provincial vibe, with friendlier locals and a slower pace of life, making it a peaceful alternative to the busy, touristy atmosphere of Panglao.

Henann Tawala is a good choice in terms of location, service and food. However, the beach-front pools have been made exclusive to Henann Alona guests. It's a shame, it would have been a nice, relaxing alternative to watch the sunset, and listen to the band while sipping piƱa colada, since beach-front daybeds get collected and packed up at 6p.m. so if you want sunsets and live music, make sure to find your spot early on the sand since a LOT of people are gonna be there, it is a public beach after all.

The location and access to sit on a lounge chair on Alona Beach are a huge plus of this resort but is trumped by the wonderful, kind, welcoming and humble service provided by the people at the front desk, restaurants, cleaning staff, spa staff, bellmen, and security staff. It is a very comfortable place to stay. One glaring, head-scratching service miscue is the waiting staff serving the guests on the beach chairs and sitting at the tables between the pool and Alona Beach. Everytime we wanted to order, we had to chase down a waiter to put in an order. the wait time for food there was very long. I'm not sure why the rest of the facility has such outstanding service but this area does not.

Great experience! It was a shame that the beach was not accessible to the guests in this facility.
