"Although the hotel is not very close to the dock, the boss is a German, the environment is comfortable and clean, the staff inside is really good, the people are particularly good and special and responsive, the hotel meal tastes good. We came back from Oslob because of the next night's flight. Because there is no place for the Duma to go, after checking out, the hotel is still outside the room for an afternoon to take a bath and eat. The trip to the Philippines has lived in three hotels. It was the most satisfying one. The sister who checked in at the front desk gave a hug and felt very sad that they were really attentive. 10 points recommend that everyone to go to the Duma to live this house will not be disappointed, if you have the opportunity to go again, you will definitely live here."
"Really enjoyed my stay there for 4 weeks they treated my really nice involved me in there Christmas party really enjoyed being there only problem I had which is very minor to correct is the WiFi to the rooms very poor shame because I needed it to run my business but the overall stay was really nice"
"The most unique hotel cabana i have ever stayed & experienced! I love the interior & exterior design of the cabana! The staff are all friendly, polite & helpful. The food was great & delicious! Good value for money😊 The hotel is near the airport."
"The hotel belongs to a private cottage style, which feels like home. It is considered a noble villa area in the local area, because it passes through many relatively simple villages along the way. The second time this time, as soon as the doorman at the entrance of the hotel asked for the right name, he gave the key directly to us without a deposit. When checking out, he gave the key to the waiter or security guard and left. People feel kind and trusted! !! The ferry terminal from Dumaguete City is about 35 minutes from the hotel and the airport is about 20 minutes from the hotel. Hotel positioning is fairly accurate. The hotel has two floors, and each floor has a suite, a living room and an open kitchen. There are also a lot of tableware and several cooking pots and rice cookers in the kitchen. It is really convenient. When we come back to buy food, we are like cooking at home, so happy to eat with friends on the balcony! (Please see the picture) There is a large bathroom in the independent suite. If there is a large balcony on the second floor, lying on the sofa on the balcony, you can also listen to music, play games, and see the pool and garden. We booked a room for two rooms and it was awesome! The hotel is about four or five buildings, so there are few people and it is very quiet. My husband and I brought a son of 14 this time and did not collect extra money, and there was an additional small room in the room for children. The only pick is that the hotel does not provide breakfast, but you can make your own breakfast! There is a small convenience store in front of the hotel. Everything is still full. You can sell all kinds of oil, salt, sauce and vinegar! The final conclusion is: leisure vacation is very good, cost-effective!"

"We had such a great time visiting Pulangbato Falls! The place was absolutely refreshing and scenic—perfect for a quick nature escape. The falls were beautiful and the water was cool and inviting, making it ideal for a short swim.
After exploring, we stopped by a nearby café and enjoyed some delicious drinks. The frappes were creamy and flavorful, and the ambiance was cozy—great for relaxing after the trip. We also indulged in some dessert (banana split!), which was the perfect sweet treat to end the day.
The drive going there was smooth and scenic, especially as we passed through the lush trees and peaceful surroundings. Everything from the food to the facilities made the trip worth it. Highly recommended for a chill getaway with family or friends!"
"You can take a tuktuk from the pier to the hotel for 150peso
It’s 50 peso to go to the city center
The service is very good. If you have any problems, ask them to solve them.
The room is clean and the equipment is old
Slippers and toothbrushes are provided
The sound insulation is average. I can hear the sound of cars. The air conditioner is noisy.
The swimming pool is thin and there are many people at night"
"Call a tutu car, it's easy to find. It is more than two kilometers away from Silliman University, but there are fewer restaurants near the hotel, and it takes a kilometer to walk to be more prosperous. However, the sanitation of the room is really good, the style is exquisite, and there are many decorations in the hall, stairs and corridors, which is very good."

Amazing
ZZichenIt can be said to be No.1 in Dumaguete.
The environment is very good, along the beach, you can see the sea from the hotel.
There is a small courtyard, which is more private.
Breakfast is included, you can choose one of the two restaurants next to it, order it, the taste and appearance are online
There are several restaurants in the resort with good environment and taste, many non-residents will come to eat, the Italian restaurant Popolo is delicious.
Ggibo_27Value for money!
Great location, just few walks away from the seaside/boulevard and near to malls, restaurants and tourist spots.
Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Wifi is decent and tv comes with Netflix. Hot shower is available, and so is hair dryer. Breakfast buffet is great, with good selection considering the price. We were able to grab two nights stay at around P1800 per night.
You will surely get your money’s worth for the stay.
RRoseanne RaeI love everything here. Value for money. Though they have one receptionist who was unfriendly but the other 2 compensated for the incovenient approach of the pther person.
AAnonymous UserOverall, it was pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet was very good, rooms are clean and spacious.
What I didn’t like was on our day of check in, the elevator is always out of service, and we are check in at 6th floor! Plus the bathroom door are not properly closing and towels are forgotten to be put in the room. It would be perfect stay if this things are managed.
MMichelleWe arrived around 5 PM and noticed that some of the staff members were preparing to leave for the day. One staff member kindly guided us through the hallways and directed us to our room. The room itself was lovely, but unfortunately, the main reason we chose this resort—its late-night swimming and Netflix access—was not fully realized. We discovered that Netflix was unavailable due to a payment issue, which was quite disappointing. We attempted to use YouTube, but found the available content unengaging, so we ended up going to bed early without our planned movie night.
On a positive note, we had breakfast at the resort's restaurant and were impressed by the excellent service, which was truly five-star. While the food was average for me, particularly given my pregnancy, it was satisfying and ensured that I left feeling full.
GGuest UserVery practical choice with regards to easy access to Lee plaza, restaurants & city tours. Hotel price-Reasonable. We all enjoyed eating @ palwa restaurant-mostly breakfast time. 360 around the corner by palwa hotel is a good place to book your travel tours. You need to bring your own toiletries just so you know. Overall experience with staff @ palwa-excellent. They’re very attentive, hospitable & with beautiful smiles on their faces ready to help you anytime.
They need to fix the lamp it goes on & off by itself I think loose connections. Maybe they also need to rearrange the bigger bed so that there’s a way you can get out on the other side quickly to use the bathroom. Also needed a small table to put your snacks or food. We stayed in a family room which I think needs an extra chair as well. Thanks to young man that helped us connect to WiFi & proper use of tv with 2tv controls. God bless you all @ Palwa hotel, thank you🇵🇭
毛毛毛虫MandyThis time I booked a two-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, which is very convenient and you can cook by yourself, but I didn’t experience it in a hurry this time. The restaurant downstairs is not as good as everyone said, but it is above the overall level of the Philippines. The swimming pool is beautiful and there are slides to play. After checking out, I had to go to the pier to take the boat to Tin Island. Because we had 5 people and luggage, we asked the front desk to call a cart for us. As a result, we arranged a brand new van to take us there for free. The building is very distinctive, the layout is very cute, I feel that a small town in Europe, next time I must take my daughter to stay a few more days.
LLailei AnneMy boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Golden Gate Suites, and our experience was truly memorable. The location was perfect, putting us within walking distance of major attractions and some fantastic local restaurants. The room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the comfortable bed and the scenic views from our window, which really added a nice touch.
The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed, from restaurant recommendations to transportation options. The hotel also had a fantastic breakfast spread each morning, with a variety of options to suit different tastes.
Overall, Golden Gate Suites was an ideal choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We highly recommend it for couples looking for a romantic getaway in a central, convenient location. We’d love to return!
AAnonymous UserI can confirm that all the positive ratings are justified. This is a well managed, well maintained, modern hotel that is offering good value for around 1700 pesos. There are a few shortcomings that may be relevant to some people, but weren't for me:
- There is no fridge
- The beds are unsuitable for tall people as they are only 1,80 meters long
- They don't provide free drinking water
- The family rooms don't have windows
EEmmanuel SarmientoThe place is quiet, good for people who like relaxation in a tranquil environment. The room is okay, I got a small ne but it was enough for me since I came as a solo. However, I don‘t understand why it was so hard to hail a tricycle going to this place, no matter how near it actually is. Even the tricycles from there won‘t pick you up even when it‘s not yet fully occupied. So far my stay was good. I was able to work in my room, I just wished they have something like a study table where guests who needs to work remotely can work. Also, it would be nice if you know how to drive a motorbike and hold a driver‘s license. Cause going to the places there back in forth can be really hard when commuting only, unlike when you can rent a motorbike, you can go anywhere, anytime without a hassle.
