I've used it before, and the room was spacious and the view of autumn leaves was wonderful, so I came back again. At that time, if there was a connecting room, I asked for it as a room as close as possible. Just as I had hoped, I got used to living in a room close to each other, but it was an octopus room with no windows. There was a Japanese-Western style room down the corridor to the bottom, but the Japanese-style room was about four and a half tatami mats, so it was a small and gloomy room. The room with me is also a bath, and the 8th floor can be seen from the window is the wall of the bath. ”Well, if you think that it's only one night and includes a hot spring bath and meals, I wonder if it's worth the price.” I was surprised at the difference from last time.
Sawatari Onsen is known as Kusatsu no Naoshiyu. After enjoying a day trip bath at Kusatsu Onsen, I was taken care of by Mr. Ryumeikan. The exterior is full of the feeling that you have returned to the countryside. The landlady was friendly and the staff were cheerful at the homely and cozy inn. Among them, the volume of dinner was not half-finished. It is certain that the stomach will die of anger when licking. It seems that my stomach was happy to eat a lot of delicious food. The most troublesome thing was the bath. The temperature was hot and hot, so I had a lot of trouble getting in. Is it the point of strategy to increase the amount of hot water? Sawatari Onsen, which is said to be a famous hot spring. There was hot water and the skin felt smooth after that. Since the hot water temperature is high, it may be more pleasant to use it in cold seasons.
Sawatari Onsen has been rooted in this area for a long time as the hot spring of Kusatsu Onsen. Looking at the map, it's about halfway between Kusatsu and Shima. Compared to places like Kusatsu, the hot spring town has no foot traffic and almost no shops. Silence. . . correction. I think people who like remote hot spring towns will love this kind of atmosphere. Miyataya is located at the top of the hill in the hot spring town. When you look at the inn from the outside, you might think it's small, but it's built like a typical Kyoto townhouse, with the inn going deeper and deeper into the back. The three-story building has an indoor bath, a private open-air bath, and a family bath. It's nice to know that you can take a bath 24 hours a day, except for the private open-air bath. It's not as acidic as Kusatsu, nor is it cloudy, nor does it have a strong sulfur smell. I wonder if the temperature of the water will be a little lukewarm. . . It may not be enough for hot springs for hot guys who only like hot springs, but since I'm not too assertive, it was gentle on my skin and didn't irritate my skin, making it easy to take a long bath. Both meals were served in a private room. I highly recommend the famous cream-grilled apple that I had for dinner. At first glance, you might think it's a dessert, but since it's topped with scallops, it could almost be treated as a main dish. It's also hearty because it uses a whole apple. The wait staff was a foreigner who was learning Japanese, so I had the rare experience of writing drink orders on a piece of paper and handing them to them. I thought it was a shame that the open-air bath was a completely closed space with no view. But overall, I think it's a good inn. I would like to visit again as a refreshing bath after a day trip bath in Kusatsu.

I went with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday. They kept our luggage even before check-in, so we were able to explore the surrounding area. The welcome drink and sweets were delicious, and the staff were all kind and hospitable. We stayed in a room with an open-air bath in a detached building called Kiri, and the winter scenery from the bath was beautiful. There was a wide variety of dishes, and all of them were elaborately prepared and delicious. Overall, I thought it was a flawless inn.
Rryu16tThis was my first time using this service, but I have become a fan due to their wonderful service. I stayed in a room along the river, and it was spacious, clean, and a great place to truly relax. I was able to use the bath by myself and it was relaxing, and even after just soaking in the bath for about 10 minutes, my body felt warm and warm from the quality of the spring water long after I got out. The food used local ingredients, looked and tasted great, and was served to perfection. I felt that the hospitality and service provided by all the employees made me feel more comfortable than anything else. I chose this inn because I was exhausted from work and wanted to go to a hot spring, but it turned out to be a really relaxing trip. From now on, I would like to visit every year as my family's regular accommodation.
This place is quite famous for Onsen and we were not disspaointed. The ryokan was quite small, only 8 guest rooms threrefore the service was excellent since we arrived. The onsen was excellent. they have private onsen for 2 people and normal onsen for guest both indoor and outdoor (with very nice view of Momiji). The best part was dinner in kaiseki style. There were plenty of dishes all of which was very delicious with very nice service by ryokan staff. the room was quite large with toilet. We had a very good sleep and enjoy the view from the room. The breakfast was also very good indeed and very tasty. We did enjoy our stay very much. although it was not cheap to stay for 1 night but it is much worth your money. Excellent.
GGuest UserNice location along the river, the onsen offered peaceful setting, enjoyed our evening stroll through the community. Meals were good and plentiful. It was a nice property but not stuffy or over the top luxurious. Staff were excellent and helpful. The room had a very nice layout with lots of room, nice sitting area, nice balcony overlooking the river. An evening walk up the valley to visit the rest of the onsen town is a must, especially for Miyazaki fans. Everyone should experience a ryokan stay. It did not appear that they cater to overseas visitors which was great for felling like you were getting an authentic experience. The customs and rituals that go with a ryokan stay are not intuitive for an overseas traveler, but really should not be missed. It is one of the top experiences when in Japan. We are glad our son was along to explain things to us, it took a lot of the worry out of our stay.
GGuest UserBooked the Japanese style room with toilet. Shower room has to be shared on the 2nd floor. Room has no amenities at all. Basic hair dryer and hot flask are in the communal area. We had to set up the bed ourselves. Room was dusty and was freezing cold even tho there was heater from the air con on winter’s night. There’s instructions to learn how to kill the stink bugs. The hotel facilities are good but the overall experience wasn’t good.
