Had a great holiday at the beautiful Westin. The 45-minute flight distance from Male Airport is just right, and the hotel's pick-up and drop-off services are very attentive. Our order included breakfast and dinner, and one of the dinners could be reserved at the Japanese restaurant. The buffet has a rich variety and you can taste food from different countries. Due to the strong wind and waves during this period, unfortunately we were unable to participate in sea activities such as paddle boarding, but the coaches held a fierce volleyball match in the swimming pool. You can see some corals đȘž and tropical fish đ while snorkeling. The room facilities are impeccable. The most impressive thing is the enthusiasm of the staff. Whether it is the welcome and farewell queue at the pier, the chat in the restaurant, or the greetings when we meet on the road, it makes you feel as if you are in a familiar community and feel more relaxed and comfortable. If there is a chance in the future, I will come again!
We travelled to Soneva Fushi as a family of 7 adults and 4 children and had the best experience throughout our 5 night stay. We had looked at many other options and after careful planning we opted for Soneva Fushi. We loved every second spent on this island!!! We stayed at Villa 14 which allowed us to be in a big villa with 5 bedroomsand have our own big pool, gym, sauna, steam room, kitchen and living room. Upon our arrival we were escorted directly on to our seaplane and flown to our island paradise. Micky, our assigned butler, was the absolute best!! He cared and looked after us in the best possible way, organizing every bit of our stay. Our four children loved The Den which offered many fun activities. The breakfast buffet at Mihiree Mithaa was fantastic, with a huge choice of food stations. We loved dining in Fresh in the Garden and Out of the Blue. We were on a half board meal plan and we were made to feel as we could eat as much as we wanted unlike some of the other resorts which always looked to restrict or charge extras any given chance they had. The service was out of this world. The island gave the feel of true Maldivian feel and we loved the lush jungle feel. Our bicycles helped us get around the island which is quite big considering other resorts. We also often called the buggy to transport us to places. Our favourite family activity was the fantastic snorkeling off the Out of the Sea. We saw incredible fish, reef sharks and loved the outer reef snorkeling. We have been to 15 resorts in the Maldives and we have unanimously decided that Soneva Fushi is absolutely our first choice. We loved everything about the laid back vibe of the island. If you are considering going on a family get together we would highly recommend Villa 14 which can house up to 8 adults and 4 children. Thank you to all the wonderful Team of Soneva Fushi, especially Micky. You guys are the best!!!
It is a hotel that you will not regret staying at. The room was large and relaxing. The staff were well educated and polite. The hotel is for sightseeing.

Stayed in a deluxe room with balcony for 4 nights for ~USD140/night. LOCATION I came to the Maldives for manta rays and for this purpose Dharavandhoo is perfect, only takes about 15 minutes by boat to get to where the mantas congregate. As for location of the hotel, Dharavandhoo is a small island so location doesnât matter much. ARRIVAL Hotel will send a golf buggy to pick up guests from the airport. If there are a few guests arriving at the same time, check-in will take a little while but no problem since not in a hurry. ROOM Room is decent size, everything clean, aircon is strong which is important given the hot and humid weather. Bedding is reasonably comfortable. TV signal didnât work when I arrived but they got someone to come fix it a few hours later, it was ok for rest of the stay. Wifi stable and fast enough for streaming and also uploading all my mobile pics and videos onto cloud. FOOD Breakfast is good, eggs cooked to order, love the hash brown. I had a few lunches and dinners, have to say the food was pretty disappointing overall. Chicken satay was so dry that even having it with the sauce didnât help much, the fish was bland with not enough sauce, then the broccoli and beef was way too salty. Tuna sandwich and the pizza were decent. Most meals were around USD20 including 26% tax. I was expecting quite a few seafood main courses on the menu and was quite surprised at the lack of it. A la carte can take quite a while but you can order in advance. EXCURSIONS I did 4 manta ray excursions with the hotel during my stay, each manta swim is USD60 (no tax). You basically wait for the reception to call then head down to the lobby and rest is taken care of. You can borrow snorkel set and life jacket for no additional charges. On the first 2 excursions, there werenât that many manta but the experience was lovely as there werenât that many other people in the water. On the day where there were a lot of manta (I counted 50 manta within 50 seconds in one of my videos!), it was an absolute mayhem as there were a lot of people and a lot were kicking and you could barely move around, not Kiha Beachâs fault but just so others are aware. Still worth it though for that spectacular sight. Everyone is only allowed 45 minutes in water, the guide will keep track of time and remind you when itâs time to get back to the boat. They have different size boats depending on how many guests from the hotel are doing this, they were all easy to get back on. One thing I wasnât aware or beforehand was thereâs some sort of system for Hanifaru Bay where priority is given to local islands and resort islands on different days. So if you really want to see the manta madness. itâs best to stay a few days and do as many excursions as possible to increase your chances. After one of the manta swims, the guide heard about a whale shark nearby. We were asked whether we wish to go swim with it. There will be extra charges for those who wish to go into the water. Unfo
