"Solana is in a good location with beautiful views and the staff are friendly. You can literally snorkel infront of the resort. Food was excellent and drinks good. You get bare basics amenities in your room. My room had uncomfortable chairs outside but I saw some of the other rooms had comfortable chairs on their balconies. They come in and out of your room a few times that I feel is unnecessary, things that can be done in one go (clean, refill minibar, bring towels, ask how your stay is). They can change a few things but overall I had a good stay at Solana."

"Compare to Lux Belle Mare and Lux Grand Baie, Lux le morne is a disappointment in terms of service level. The structure of the buildings look nostalgic but it’s well maintained. The level of hygiene seems to be high. I love the beach which has the best on the island. But it is a shame they couldn’t utilise this. If you imagine the other two lux hotels I mentioned above are for Waitrose and harrods sippers then this le morne hotel is for Tesco shoppers. They made mistakes in billing and quality of drinks is mediocre. I can do better at home."

"A truly remarkable stay. We are both kicking ourselves for not staying longer but we will be back for sure. From the shuttle drivers to the restaurant workers to the golf staff, they are a real credit to the company. Kind, helpful, proactive and lovely human beings. For golf lovers, this resort really has it all. Both courses are exceptional and the experience is second to none. You don’t have to worry about a thing as it’s all sorted out for you. The resort itself is second to none with facilities in abundance. The breakfast is a real showstopper. I would recommend booking dinner in advance as we struggled to get into the restaurants due to them being fully booked. Room service was exceptional though. An all round 5 staff experience and we can’t wait to come back"

"The hotel area is very green and beautiful! What I was looking for in Mauritius, but didn’t find in another hotel! Everything is here, singing birds and views, there is a beach for swimming with a lagoon, and there is a wild one with huge waves for photography or just enjoying the views, golf, a warm outdoor jacuzzi, swimming pools, wonderful view rooms, villas with a private pool are excellent! The food is also good! We were greeted with sparkling cake and upgraded the villa! Although the vacation was overshadowed by the fact that I left the ERES swimsuit at Villa 216 on a hanger in the bathroom... I wrote everywhere and for two weeks now, I get the answer... “no no no one found anything anywhere” well of course! There was no need to look, he was there... We draw conclusions... maybe the manager is not aware of the situation, well, at least he can read it, I hope they will still contact us upon return"

Although the room is not particularly designed, it is clean and tidy... The space in our family suite is also sufficient, and the store also sells makeup remover towels, which solves my big need... "A good hotel with a beautiful and well-designed area. A spacious beach where turtles swim. Breakfast is quite uniform, but there is everything.  Convenient entrance to water, beach clean. You can take a cayak for rent free. Defects: lunch and dinner are expensive if not all on. The hotel is quite old.  In general, we liked: A picturesque beach, a benign staff, lucky to see turtles in the ocean."

"The Oberoi Mauritius has been by far the best hotel that we have stayed, this comment is made based on traveling across the world and not limited to travels in Mauritius. The staff paid careful attention to satisfying our every need and personal food requests that were happily accommodated by the hotel’s chef. Having fallen ill while traveling, the hotel doctor was readily available for a consult and prescribed medication within a timely manner. The visit to the spa was relaxing and all rooms were well-maintained. The therapist was able to provide treatments on our individual needs. The room was beautifully decorated with a private pool and garden, this meant that we were lucky enough to have our breakfast with a magnificent sea view🌊. Overall a true five star ⭐️ hotel that delivers an exceptional experience to its guests. Well done Oberoi Team⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
