Mauritius Hotels with Hot Tub

This time I came to Mauritius to stay in two hotels, this one feels more cost-effective. The room is larger and the service is better than the strict selection. The hotel also has a golf course and a castle restaurant, which can be visited by a battery car at the front desk. I gave a lady a hat and two bowls of instant noodles in each room. The disadvantage is that there are not many varieties of breakfast and the taste is not good enough, which is incomparable with the strict selection. The Italian restaurant at dinner was ok, the beach bar was lively and there were band performances, but nothing delicious except fruit.

The environment is first-class, quiet, close to restaurants and supermarkets. Facing the coast, it is very comfortable. There is a grill, a kitchen, and prepare seafood and steak by yourself. It is close to the beach and enjoys great water play. The service attitude is good. Although there is no elevator, there is a big security guard to help with luggage.

The hotel restaurant offers delicious food, and we had most of our dinners in the hotel's Captain's Restaurant. Every staff member is very enthusiastic, and the service staff called Yanis is very friendly. My son and I stayed for nine nights and it was a wonderful vacation

The scenery of the hotel is good, and the sunrise and sunset photos are good. However, there are some reefs on the main beach, and there are often groupers in them, which is not suitable for swimming. But you can play in the water The hotel is located near the bus station. There are many buses that can go to the areas along the Great Bay. The fare is only 30 rupees, which is equivalent to 4.5 RMB. Very convenient. The open beach near the hotel is better and you can go paragliding. The hotel staff were quite enthusiastic, but when settling the exchange rate, they were too clever and gave me 43 for 1 U.S. dollar. The normal rate at the airport was 46. To be honest, I didn’t have much money, but I just felt uncomfortable. Regarding lunch, it costs 30 US dollars, but it is relatively simple and has not many tricks. Breakfast is basically the same every day. There are local weddings held every day in the hotel, which is very festive and shows that the hotel's consumption is reasonable. It is a very cost-effective seaside hotel in the Grand Bay area of ​​Mauritius and is worth staying for many days.

The surrounding area of the hotel is really desolate, it is farmland, but it is because of this, the hotel is very quiet, not noisy, I like it very much, the suite is really big, my husband and I are super satisfied, only stayed for three nights and felt that it was still unfinished. Free parking and gate security are in place like all hotels in Maodao. We were just in time for the hurricane. We couldn't go to sea in rainy days. The hotel also had a lot of entertainment facilities. Table tennis, football, sand, volleyball, and pool. The WIFI signal in the room is very weak, only the balcony signal is very strong. I wonder if the facility was affected by the hurricane. The beach is downstairs, but the WIFI signal is very strong. There are many schools of fish not far from snorkeling, and basic water sports facilities are free of charge. The staff is very friendly, the environment in the yard is beautiful and quiet, it is much better than the salt selection we stayed behind, it is worth recommending ~

Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

It is definitely a paradise for food and food. For those who need to travel early every day, we have specially opened breakfast from 4:00-7:00, and the service is first class. If there is Chinese service, it is perfect.

An exceptional stay at the resort, with 5 star treatment by all of the hotel staff. All of the staff that we came into contact with went out of their way to provide true Mauritian hospitality at its best! A highly recommended resort for couples and families. The rooms were well-maintained with a clear sea view and a view of the plunge pool. The quality of food, upkeep of the restaurants and all public spaces were immaculate! Many exciting water activities that were complementary with our stay as well as various themes provided at dinner time to keep guests entertained.
