This time I stayed at the two hotels of Lishi Mona and Lishi Mei'an. The style is still quite different. The sand of Mona is yellowish and very slightly. The sand on the Mei'an is slightly whiter and thinner. Be careful. The walk is still acceptable; the rooms are larger and more modern; the sea view is better for Mount Mona. Sitting in the seaside is very eye-catching. After a day, the hotel is too lazy to move. If you are chasing dolphins, it is also near the Mount Mona. The pool and meals are not as good as the US shore.

During the Spring Festival, a family of 6 stayed for 5 nights and it felt great! Not willing to go! Breakfast is rich, you can also feed fish while eating (a beautiful sea fish that can only be seen by snorkeling), feed birds (see at least three kinds of birds), picturesque scenery, free experience golf, glass boat trip to and from deer during your stay Island, recreation room, elephant tortoise watching, bicycling, glass-bottom boat ride to and from the opposite bank ... I also accidentally found a lot of mango trees and Sakyamuni trees. The greening of the entire hotel is exquisite, and some live in oversized bonsai The feeling in the absolute paradise on earth!

Very satisfied. After entering the gate and parking the car, a hotel car picked us up and took us to the front desk to check in. The environment is very good, the infinity pool is next to the beach. The room fulfilled all my fantasies about a resort hotel. I really want to stay here for a longer time. If anything happens, the waiter can be contacted at any time via WhatsApp. The most grateful thing is that we misjudged the flight time and the waiter pointed it out. This prevented us from arriving at the airport very early and allowed us to stay in the hotel for a longer time.

Overall, it is a very good hotel. The suite has 2 single beds and 1 double bed. It is no problem for a family of four, and there is no additional charge for 2 children under 16 years old in this room type, including breakfast, but breakfast is not included. It's too suitable for East Asian tastes. Dinner is a little better, just a little bit. We lost a child's schoolbag at the airport in Mauritius, and there were valuables inside. We thought we couldn't find it, but the Intercontinental front desk guy helped us contact the airport police station, and the schoolbag was recovered, which was very NICE. It was a bit unpleasant to check out later. More than a thousand euros were deducted from me. After negotiation, it was refunded to my account after returning to China. Overall, it was perfect. Ctrip officials were also very helpful!

The scenery of the hotel is good, and the sunrise and sunset photos are good. However, there are some reefs on the main beach, and there are often groupers in them, which is not suitable for swimming. But you can play in the water
The hotel is located near the bus station. There are many buses that can go to the areas along the Great Bay. The fare is only 30 rupees, which is equivalent to 4.5 RMB. Very convenient.
The open beach near the hotel is better and you can go paragliding.
The hotel staff were quite enthusiastic, but when settling the exchange rate, they were too clever and gave me 43 for 1 U.S. dollar. The normal rate at the airport was 46. To be honest, I didn’t have much money, but I just felt uncomfortable.
Regarding lunch, it costs 30 US dollars, but it is relatively simple and has not many tricks. Breakfast is basically the same every day.
There are local weddings held every day in the hotel, which is very festive and shows that the hotel's consumption is reasonable.
It is a very cost-effective seaside hotel in the Grand Bay area of Mauritius and is worth staying for many days.

Arrived from London on an air Mauritius flight with TUI , travel and transfer were good though very tight space on the plane in regard to leg room in economy. Arrived at the hotel 10am , reception staff lovely and we received a drink and cold flannels to freshen up . The hotel room was not available until 2pm but you could pay 50 euro for early check in. We changed in an upstairs shower room and decided to chill by the pool , pool towels were given to us and can be changed every two days .All inclusive does not start until 2pm either on your 1st day . Been here a week now and would like to say I’m happy with the food and accommodation. The AI is not like you get in your European hotels. Food is excellent but less choices . No burgers chips etc but I am not missing this we are having lovely veggie food and fish , meat and rices . Dinner and evening meal both have salad options and dessert but again less choice and these can be hit and miss . Breakfast is lovely with cooked or continental ,juice , coffee , tea , toast all available The beach is a short walk away and is beautiful , can be very busy on weekend days . The TUI rep visited and we booked two trips via her North island tour and South Island tour. We have done one of these so far and we loved it . Well organised and informative. Drinks under the AI seem limited , there is a bar menu ,this shows what you can have , I need to look again as I’m mostly sticking to pins colada and G and T’s There are three pools and we have been able to get sun beds as we need them . Rooms are ok , large with a sofa , double bed though the headboard is not fixed to the wall and makes a noise if you turn over so we have pulled the bed away from the wall . Bathroom is functional with shower , toilet and sink Rooms cleaned daily with clean towels given . Have tried to change pool towels four times and none available , without being given a time when they will be , so although you can change them we have been unable to do so . One cat seen by us in hotel , ginger and well looked after hopefully a 🐀 rat catcher as although there are vermin traps around we had a rat run across our ground floor terrace last night . Furniture on terrace a table and two chairs , no rack for clothes drying which is much needed.

This is a hotel where you can meet Chinese tourists, but there are very few Chinese people. First of all, the junior suite has a double bed and a double sofa bed, which can accommodate a family of four, but another child under 16 years old has to pay an additional 80 euros per day without an extra bed, including breakfast. The guy at the front desk of the hotel was very enthusiastic and courteous, and the other service staff were also very enthusiastic. Breakfast is very bad for Chinese people. It is not suitable for Chinese people than Intercontinental. Dinner is just okay and relatively rich. However, I only had dinner once in the hotel. The hotel has all the facilities that a resort should have. There are many swimming pools, but there is no exclusive swimming pool for children. The hotel beach has very white sand, which is obviously much better than the hotel beaches in the north.

This was our first trip to Mauritius so we were a little nervous about arranging it, but we have stayed with One and Only many times in the past so we knew we would have a great experience, but somehow the St Geran managed to exceed all our expectations. Apart from amazing weather and incredible beaches the hotel and staff did absolutely everything to make our stay perfect. We had a ground floor suite overlooking the ocean which was extremely spacious, beautifully furnished with two huge bathrooms and the most comfortable bed. The suite also came with the benefit of the One and Only “host “ service. Our hosts were Baasil , Andreas and Roshan who were on call 24 hours a day and nothing was too much for them in making each day the best that it could be. We should also point out the hotel has incredible beaches on one side and a water sports lagoon on the other. We did not expect to be using these facilities much but the team were so helpful and friendly teaching us daily how to waterski and wake board. We can’t wait to go back and pay them another visit. I’m not going to mention food in this review as I’m sure it gets reviewed by everyone but we do want to praise the entertainments team. Every night there was live entertainment and the resident band Groove Avenue were just incredible. We could not wait to finish dinner and enjoy their show. We have never been to a hotel with this quality of entertainment. If you are reading this review and like us you are not sure where on Mauritius to stay then I hope this helps you. There cannot be a better hotel than the St Geran. We will definetely be coming back.

Check in was hectic. There were so many guests checking in and waiting in such a small space. We checked in at 3 pm but the room wasn’t ready until 3.45 pm. We got to the room and found out that they upgraded us (without telling us). The upgraded room was a big suite which was very nice but it was on the ground floor. We booked a junior suite balcony which is upstairs (we prefer upstairs as more privacy and better view) we had to ask to move to the type of room that we actually booked for! (What a waste of time for everyone) the room was very beautiful and comfortable and we LOVED the balcony. We love le Morne beach the water is so clear with different shades of blue but here we find the beach to be a bit too wide so you are a bit far from the sea (we stayed at another hotel in Le morne and we found there we were closer to the see with better view of Le Morne) Plenty of available sun beds. We didn’t like the pools so didn’t go in. Breakfast was disappointing compared to the price we pay. Service was not bad but not great. Overall, it was an ok stay.

On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome.
The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice.
We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food.
The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for.
Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience:
- Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness
- Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful
- Rooms didn’t feel clean
- Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast
- Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it)
We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.
DDazhangZZThe hotel environment is very good. The reservation on Ctrip includes breakfast and dinner, and the hotel stay has a consumption of 100 US dollars, which is very cost-effective.
There are four restaurants in the hotel. I personally recommend the Asian restaurant (Pictures 2 and 3 are Indian restaurants), fried noodles, pizza, fish and rice, all of which are delicious. However, the most popular place to eat is the buffet restaurant. Although it is not delicious, there are many choices, mainly fruits.
The waiter at the seafood restaurant was very unfriendly. Because I didn't speak English well when I ordered, I was laughed at by the black waiter, which was very rude. The hotel can pay attention to this.
YYUFENGIt is a pretty cozy, quiet apartment hotel nearby grandbay , Super Unmarket . I forgot the mention the kid when booking, but finally got free room cost for kid , the local owner has deep and friendly sentimental emotion to Chinese people cause his daughter was studying in China and a successful doctor in Mauritius with her fruitful medical course in China. Great hotel . But the I have to complain a little bitter breakfast , really less options and the sparrows were always flying and surrounding you to share your food .
YYONGLIThis time I came to Mauritius to stay in two hotels, this one feels more cost-effective. The room is larger and the service is better than the strict selection. You can scan WeChat and Chinese service. It will introduce the free and paid activities of the hotel in detail. It is very rich. The hotel also has a golf course and a castle restaurant, which can be visited by a battery car at the front desk. I gave a lady a hat and two bowls of instant noodles in each room. The disadvantage is that there are not many varieties of breakfast and the taste is not good enough, which is incomparable with the strict selection. The Italian restaurant at dinner was ok, the beach bar was lively and there were band performances, but nothing delicious except fruit.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is average, although there is no beach at the beach, the only thing is very secluded. The yard where the hotel is located is very large and there are many houses for short and medium term rental. Hotel facilities are relatively old, but it is a bit special, the hotel lobby is not big, the bird cage inside is feeding a few birds. The service is OK. If you have dinner, there are two restaurants, one bar to choose from, and one that is open to Asian restaurants opened by Malaysians. The price of the local restaurant below is acceptable. The hotel's WIFI is very poor and often does not receive signals in the rooms.

XXiaomie001The beach is not as beautiful as other hotels, but everything else is okay! The service attitude is very good, and every staff member is smiling. There is only one non-paying restaurant, and the food is different from other hotels... It is estimated that several other restaurants require reservations and payment

LLINGFree parking and gate security are in place like all hotels in Maodao. We were just in time for the hurricane. We couldn't go to sea in rainy days. The hotel also had a lot of entertainment facilities. Table tennis, football, sand, volleyball, and pool. The WIFI signal in the room is very weak, only the balcony signal is very strong. I wonder if the facility was affected by the hurricane. The beach is downstairs, but the WIFI signal is very strong. There are many schools of fish not far from snorkeling, and basic water sports facilities are free of charge. The staff is very friendly, the environment in the yard is beautiful and quiet, it is much better than the salt selection we stayed behind, it is worth recommending ~
