"Fantastic location — just a 3-minute walk from the train station, and both the Chapel Bridge and the lake cruise pier are only about 5 minutes away on foot. You really couldn't ask for a more convenient spot to explore Lucerne. The room itself is stylish and modern, everything feels brand new. The front desk staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made check-in a breeze. The only downside was the shower — the water temperature kept fluctuating between hot and cold, which wasn't the most pleasant experience. A minor blemish on an otherwise excellent stay."

"Super clean and cozy. The breakfast is provided with no additional fee and it is a decent quality. City pass is provided via email in advance, so you can register it in your Apple Pay and ride any bus inside Lucerne city. You can take a 19 bus from the Luzern Bahnhof to arrive to the hostel. The hostel has a spacious public place where you can work/study or chill or have a meal by yourself. No towel is provided and you need to bring your own."

"I recently stayed at Lucerne Capsule Hotel and had a mixed experience. The amenities provided were genuinely great — modern, convenient, and thoughtfully designed for travelers. Parking was also easy, with a parking facility available at the building next door, which made arrival and sel check-in very smooth. However, the biggest downside was the cleanliness of the room. My capsule and surrounding area had quite a lot of dust, which affected the overall comfort of the stay. With better housekeeping, this place could easily be a much stronger option for visitors. Overall, it’s a decent stay with good facilities, but cleanliness definitely needs improvement."

"Facilities: Beyond expectations. Each room is named after a place in Switzerland, and the decor varies accordingly. The room was spacious with many windows, offering views of the train station, the bustling market, and snow-capped mountains in the distance. The corner space was very cozy, and the toilet and bathroom were large. Cleanliness: Very clean, with no overlooked spots. There was also a beautiful orchid in the room. Service: The front desk staff were exceptionally gentle and friendly. They proactively and thoughtfully explained how to access water and where to drink it. The mini-bar was free, and upon check-in, we were even given extra bottled mineral water in glass bottles. Environment: The location is incredibly convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to the train station, so no worries about carrying heavy luggage. All major city attractions are within walking distance, and the surrounding neighborhood is very pleasant."

"Big shoutout to Kilian! We checked in late at night, and luckily, we met Kilian, who was so warm, gentlemanly, and kind. He spoke a bit slower, probably to make sure we understood everything, and he was patient and smiling throughout our entire interaction. His attitude was excellent! He even greeted us proactively whenever we saw him. The hotel itself is decent; the rooms are quite spacious, which is nice. However, the facilities are a bit old; the floor in our room creaked when we walked on it. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, not much to choose from, and the taste was pretty average."

"Convenient and simple self check in system. Free refundable CHF 2 for luggage storage in a safe cabinet. Room is modern and clean. Breakfast is simple but good. Free 24 hrs coffee/tea, hot water & ice cubes at the café. Location is a plus point. Next to Coop Supermarket and a mall. Bus stop to Lucerne Train Station is right at the door step. Just 3 stops to train station or 10 mins walk to train station. 5-10 mins walk to some places of interest! Staffs are friendly and approachable. I find the environment to be quite and peaceful. Really love the place!"

"Everything worked out perfectly! Hotel in the heart of the city center. Check-in and check-out were very easy. I highly recommend it and would come back anytime. There's a parking garage nearby, just a 5-minute walk away. However, the daily rate of CHF 35 isn't exactly cheap."

"Central, Comfortable, and Classic Swiss Hospitality – Hotel Astoria LuzernI recently stayed at Hotel Astoria Luzern and came away really impressed. Location: Perfect. It’s right across from Lucerne train station and 2 minutes from the lake. Chapel Bridge, Old Town, and boat piers are all walkable in under 10 minutes. If you’re exploring central Switzerland by train, you literally can’t get more convenient.Room: We had a Superior Double and it was spacious by Swiss standards. Very clean, quiet, and the bed was excellent — slept great every night. Modern bathroom, good lighting, and blackout curtains. Nice touches like Nespresso machine and free bottled water daily.Breakfast: A real highlight. Huge buffet with Swiss cheeses, cold cuts, fresh bread, Bircher muesli, hot items, and barista coffee included. The breakfast room has views of Pilatus on clear days. Worth waking up for.Facilities: The spa/sauna area is small but well kept and perfect after a day of walking. There’s also a fitness room. We ate at the Astoria Restaurant one night — solid Swiss/international menu and great wine list.Service: Warm and professional. Front desk staff were fluent in English, gave great tips for Mt. Rigi and lake cruises, and stored our luggage after checkout. Check-in/out was fast. You can tell they’re used to international travelers but still keep it personal.Vibe: Classic 4-star European hotel with tasteful updates. Feels upscale without being stuffy. Great mix of business travelers and tourists.Minor notes: Rooms facing Pilatusstrasse can get some street noise if windows are open, but with them closed it was quiet. Parking is valet-only and pricey, which is normal for central Lucerne — better to arrive by train if you can.Overall: For location, comfort, and service, Astoria is one of the best value 4-star options in Lucerne. We used it as a base for day trips to Titlis, Rigi, and the city itself, and it was perfect. Rating: 4.5/5 Would stay again without hesitation. Highly recommend for couples and families visiting Lucerne."

"For this price and location, it's excellent. It's a 5-minute walk to the 200-year-old wooden bridge, and I even managed to buy a Rolex – a long-desired purchase! The young man at the front desk was incredibly helpful, explaining where and how to park. He was so eager to assist, he practically wanted to park the car for us. He even walked out to the street to guide us. "

"This hotel offers incredible value for money! During the Spring Festival, it was less than 500 a night, which was perfect for a solo traveler. It even has a charming, vintage-style small balcony. It's less than a 10-minute walk from Lucerne train station, and directly below it is what feels like Lucerne's main commercial street. It's also very close to Migros. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Switzerland!"
