Due to the late arrival of Scoot flight TR611 from Suvarnabhumi past 11.30 pm, it costs me S$21.30 by Grab to arrive at Dorsett Changi City Hotel from Changi Airport. I stayed here one night for the convenience of boarding the free shuttle bus service at the neighbouring Expo Hall 5 for Singapore Airshow 2026 past 7 am on 8 February 2026. There is no need to pay the room deposit for one night stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel. The room rate is overpriced as the room allocated to me is small. There is no pair of indoor slippers or sandals to wear and there is no room razor to use. Instead of four-class service, the hotel service should be classified as three-class instead. Top quality body lotion as well as body and hand wash are provided for room use. There is free filtered water to drink. Like Maya Hotel in Phuket, the toilet is separated from the shower room but Dorsett guests hang towels in the toilet and not the shower room! Flooding occurs after showering. Breakfast also starts at 6.30 am but it costs S$33.57 per guest. This is the breakfast rate payable to the reception by debit card, credit card or cash while it costs S$39 plus if the guest pays for breakfast at the hotel's Cosmo Restaurant. 6.30 am is the earliest breakfast outside homes in Changi as the nearest convenience store 7-11 is opened only at 7 am daily. The restaurant serves more varieties of fruits than other hotel restaurants as well as multi-grain bread. Cosmo Restaurant is also running ala carte buffet lunch promo rate at S$29.90 per person. Members of the public can also eat here. During winter months, planes can be seen flying past Standard Chartered Bank Building of Changi Business Park from the lift corridor. The reception says hotel guests on the hotel's swimming pool deck can also see planes flying. I recommend to stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel for one night only if guests wanted to go to Expo to attend a MICE event on the next day, catch an early free shuttle bus to Singapore Airshow or stay at a cheaper rate than Yotelair Changi during transit. Since I had to go to work the next day after arriving back home, I really needed a good night's sleep, so I booked this airport transit hotel. It's affiliated with the Ambassador Lounge across the way, meaning after six hours of sleep at the hotel, I could still use the lounge for another three hours of rest. Overall, the value for money was pretty good. The room was small, but it had all the necessary amenities, including towels, slippers, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. Although the bathroom was communal, it was divided into private cubicles, each with its own toilet and shower, and quite spacious, offering excellent privacy – exceeding my expectations. Of course, the price is higher compared to similar hotels outside the airport, but the convenience, cleanliness, and good service make it well worth recommending for an overnight layover.

It's quite convenient to get here from the airport, making it a good first stop to rest upon arriving in Singapore.

The room was surprisingly spacious with a great view. Waking up to the sparkling water was a lovely sight! Even though I arrived late at night, the front desk staff was still smiling and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. However, the hotel is located in Terminal 2 and you need to clear customs. If you arrive at a different terminal, you'll need to take the free airport shuttle bus, which goes on a bit of a circuitous route, so definitely pay attention to where the next stop is!

This hotel is incredibly convenient for an overnight layover, located right on the fourth floor of Jewel at T1. You do need to clear customs, but if your luggage is checked through, you only need to take your carry-on. The room itself is quite small, but generally, the hygiene is good. The common areas offer complimentary self-service coffee and tea, as well as temporary workspaces for guests. Service is minimal as it's mostly self-service. The biggest advantage is definitely the location. Even if you have an early flight, there's no need to rush, making it easy to get a good night's rest – far more comfortable than sleeping on the airport floor or in a lounge.

Ambassador Transit Lounge, Changi Airport Terminal 3 – Trip Review During my recent visit to the Ambassador Transit Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 3, I found it to be a generally comfortable and functional space, though there were a few notable drawback Ambiance and Comfort: The lounge is clean and modern, with comfortable seating and a calm atmosphere conducive to relaxation. However, the lounge’s relatively small size became a limitation during my visit. With a higher number of guests at that time, finding a preferred seating spot was somewhat challenging, and the space felt cramped. Additionally, a few guests were not mindful of social etiquette, which detracted slightly from the otherwise pleasant environment. Amenities and Services: Facilities such as Wi-Fi, charging stations, reading materials, and shower amenities were all available and well-maintained. These essential services are functional and convenient for transit travelers. Signage for key facilities could be clearer to enhance ease of use, particularly for first-time visitors. Food and Beverage: The lounge offered a modest selection of snacks and beverages. While sufficient for a short stay, the variety and quality are limited compared to larger or premium lounges at Changi. Service Quality: Staff were professional, courteous, and attentive. Check-in and general assistance were handled efficiently, contributing positively to the overall experience. Value for Transit Travelers: The lounge serves its purpose well for travelers seeking a quiet place to rest during a short layover. However, for those expecting more space, privacy, or extensive dining options, alternative lounges may provide a more complete experience. Overall Assessment: The Ambassador Transit Lounge at Terminal 3 is a clean, comfortable, and functional transit option. Its smaller size and occasional lack of guest etiquette can be a drawback during busy periods, but the lounge remains a convenient choice for short-term relaxation. Rating: ★★★ / 5

Am impressed by the welcoming vibes of the lobby. Chose this co-sharing hotel because it’s four-bedded with a shared bathroom, convenient for my visually-impaired friend. Fellow guests were considerate and abided the guidelines listed in the room. The downside is that the rates are the same for the lower and bottom bunks. And the listing did not indicate which bunks were available. It would have helped me make a more informed choice. As it turned out, only the upper bunk was available and it was very inconvenient for my medically blind friend. Other dorms have different pricing for the bunks, which I feel is a better policy so that guests need to consider the cost before deciding to take the more convenient lower bunk.

The changi cove is a lovely hotel. Very peaceful, but the reason is that it is in the middle of nowhere if you are a tourist. It has good rooms and the staff are amazing, but if you are looking to spend a few days trying to squeeze in all the famous sights and landmarks this may not be the place for you. The MRT does not cover the area, it is that far out so be prepared to spend 30 to 50 SDG to get back after a days sightseeing. There is a free curtesy bus but it stops at 8.00pm from the train station so no good for all of the wonderful night light shows. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the location.

This was my second time staying at Dusit Thani Singapore. My first stay was for my sister’s bachelorette celebration, and this time it was for my boyfriend’s birthday. The hotel prepared a birthday cake for us, which was a very thoughtful and lovely gesture. Overall, everything inside the hotel was excellent and truly met five-star standards — service, comfort, and atmosphere were all very well done. That said, there are a few things worth noting. Our room did not have a bathtub, which might be a downside for guests who enjoy soaking. At night, taking Grab to and from the city can be quite expensive due to the hotel’s location. Additionally, there is a lot of construction going on around the hotel at the moment, which slightly affects the surrounding view and overall cityscape. Overall, it’s a high-quality hotel with warm service and attention to detail, perfect for special occasions, though the external environment and transportation costs are something to consider.
