CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed. Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free. The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all. Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!

GGuest UserWe stayed with two children, and they upgraded us to a Little Yellow Duck themed room, which the kids absolutely loved. The complimentary scheduled shuttle service was a thoughtful touch. On our first day, we wanted to go to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Just as we were about to call a taxi, the shuttle driver told us he could take us directly and advised us not to bother with a taxi, which was super convenient. Heartwarming late-night snack: We could enjoy a late-night snack after returning to the hotel. They offered mini wontons and mixed noodles. The mini wontons were delicious, and the kids really enjoyed them. Cleanliness: Overall, it was excellent! Minibar all-you-can-drink: There were sodas, and for the kids, oat milk and cookies. The cookies were incredibly tasty! Ordering takeout was also very convenient, with a robot delivering it directly to the room. Another shout-out to the hotel: I accidentally booked an extra room on another platform but forgot about it. The hotel proactively contacted me, which was very considerate, and they even refunded me in the end. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for family travel.

GGuest UserAt first, I thought it was a bit far but once I started to explore, I appreciate the location as it is set away from the crowd but very walkable. About 10 mins walk to the LV iconic ship one way, 10mins walk or thereabouts to West Nanjing Rd Butterfly Cremarous in another direction and if you head off in another direction, about 15mins to IAPM mall. The service was great. The girls were helpful with our Taobao packages and also when I wanted to order food delivery. Self washing machine and dryer were easy enough to use. Cleaners really kept the room tidy. Some construction when we were around end of May 2026 but not too bad. As with most places in China, you will have random smokers inside but our room did not smell of smoke so that's a RELIEF! Another minor negative was the bathrobe was in tatters but that was only the 1st day out of 4 nights stay Also at times, food delivery person could deliver to your room even though you need card access. Worth nothing though I haven't felt unsafe. I actually like the room layout, felt spacious and also probably the only hotel where I have watched so many movies.

GGuest UserTerrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The room smelled of smoke, possibly due to old or poorly maintained air conditioning. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of smoke. Their service attitude was both arrogant and perfunctory. The operational procedures were also a mess; for example, after checking in, I found the room didn't even have a kettle and called to request one. Ten minutes later, housekeeping knocked on the door, saying they needed to replace the in-room magazine. It was bizarre to replace a monthly magazine after check-in. The kettle that was eventually delivered was wet inside and out, with a strong disinfectant smell inside. The ice bucket in the room also had water and already smelled foul when opened. The hotel management is riddled with loopholes everywhere; quality is in the details. The hard furnishings like the toilet and bathtub in the room were old, the shower handle was broken, and the water pressure was worse than a 3 or 4-star hotel. The linens were average. However, the bedding and mattress were good.

GGuest UserThis hotel has offered me an absolutely wonderful and satisfying stay experience during my trip in Shanghai, and I would highly recommend it to all travelers visiting the city. First of all, its location is unbeatable, which is the biggest highlight of this hotel. The property sits right next to the iconic Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. It only takes a few steps to reach bustling shopping malls, local snack streets and various entertainment spots, allowing guests to easily experience Shanghai’s urban prosperity and trendy atmosphere. Whether for sightseeing, shopping or casual walks, the location brings great convenience throughout the trip. In terms of transportation, the hotel enjoys extremely accessible traffic conditions. It is closely connected to Metro Line 2 and Line 10, two major urban subway lines. With convenient metro access, traveling to Shanghai Railway Station, Hongqiao Airport and Pudong Airport becomes incredibly time-saving and hassle-free. It is perfectly suitable for both business travelers and tourists who pursue efficient and smooth journeys. The room experience also exceeded my expectations. The overall layout of the room is comfortable and cozy, and the highlight is the stunning night view outside the window. At night, the neon lights of downtown Shanghai light up the whole city, presenting a gorgeous and charming urban scenery. Sitting by the window and enjoying the beautiful night view is an extremely pleasant relaxation after a busy day of traveling and working. In addition, the service of the hotel is thoughtful and professional. The front desk staff are warm, polite and efficient. They are always patient to answer guests’ questions and provide practical travel tips, creating a welcoming and comfortable check-in atmosphere. What’s more, the hotel is equipped with intelligent robot delivery service. The robots can deliver water, snacks and daily necessities to the room quickly and accurately. This intelligent service is not only efficient and hygienic, but also adds a modern and interesting touch to the stay. Overall, this is a cost-effective hotel with prime location, convenient [咖啡]transportation, amazing views and thoughtful service. I will definitely choose it again on my next visit to Shanghai.

AAnonymous UserChoosing the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund in Shanghai was definitely the right decision! The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the Bund. You step out of the hotel and you're right by the river, and it's also super convenient to walk to Nanjing Road. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the century-old building is incredibly beautiful, a perfect blend of vintage and luxury. The room experience was fantastic! I especially want to commend our dedicated concierges, Emily and Echole. Their warm, attentive, professional, and gentle service made us feel incredibly comfortable.

GGuest UserHad everything we needed, for the price paid. Very comfortable stay and I thought it was worth it. Close to where we needed to be. It was hard to find from the address but it was nice regardless and surrounding area was very chill and in a more local area. I don't have an image of the hotel itself but I have pictures of surrounding area and the street where room was.

TThe Lonely TravellerMight I say, our entire stay at the W was marvelous from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted and helped with our luggage straight yo our room. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. She even offered to upgrade us to a room with a better view seeing that we were celebrating and visiting Shanghai for the first time. Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people. Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories. We would highly recommend staying here if ever visiting Shanghai. Every penny spent was worth it.

The place is easy to find, even though we need to walk a quiet distance from the nearest station. Still reachable though. There’s also many stores, cafes, and restaurants nearby.
