Hotel Central, nestled in the vibrant heart of Macau's historic city along Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, is ideally situated near iconic landmarks such as St. Paul's Ruins and the Senado Square. Following a meticulous HK$2 billion acquisition and revitalization project, this century-old treasure was gloriously reborn in 2024. This singular century-old boutique hotel ingeniously merges a nostalgic retro aesthetic with advanced technology and eco-friendly principles, resulting in an ambiance that is both evocative of the past and refreshingly contemporary.

I absolutely loved this hotel! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. The cleanliness is top-notch, but what truly stands out is the staff. They went above and beyond in every aspect—from luggage storage to local recommendations. Even when it rained, they were right there to ensure our comfort. The room amenities are premium and very generous. Location-wise, it’s perfect—right next to Senado Square and a short walk to St. Paul’s Ruins. Breakfast was impressive, and the rooftop bar is a must-visit; the drinks are great, and the night view of the city is stunning. Everything was perfect. I’ll definitely be back and will highly recommend it to all my friends!

The Yoho Treasure Island Hotel has an unbeatable location with a wide range of shopping outlets right on-site, which makes for a very convenient and enjoyable stay. Having previously stayed at its sister hotel, the Yoho Roosevelt, which was absolutely amazing, I did find this property didn't quite measure up in comparison. My room had a faint damp smell, and while the breakfast was okay, it became repetitive and wasn't worth the price. Still, with its great setting and potential, the hotel offers a solid experience-though it falls short of the excellence I've come to expect from the Yoho brand.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Macau multiple times, and it used to be consistently excellent. I always felt it offered great value for money, primarily because I trust IHG's management, ensuring cleanliness, and the location is incredibly convenient. For someone without overly high demands, it's definitely a recommended choice. However, this stay felt like the hotel has started cutting corners. Many amenities are no longer provided: no cotton swabs, no charging cables, and even the IHG Rewards welcome drink was gone. Plus, I felt a bit misled. It was my mistake for not reading the booking details carefully and selecting a 'random room' type. After a concert, I checked in quite late and asked for a twin room, only to be told none were available. They then offered me ”the best king room in the entire hotel”! What I got was just a room with an extra two-seater sofa 😅😅😅, and a bathroom where you had to step into the tub just to shower. 😂😂😂 I hope the hotel sees picture four and addresses the issues.

The location is excellent, right across from Grand Lisboa, just a 2-minute walk. I stayed on the 11th floor; the room was very clean and tidy, with no strange smells. The bathroom was well-equipped with soap, a shower cap, and lotion. The bed was comfortable. There was only one UK-style power outlet near the dressing table, and the one by the bed was a USB charging port. The soundproofing could be a bit better. It's super close to the 21A/26A bus stop and the famous Lao Day Beef Offal, and Senado Square is also very nearby. Overall, it's great.

The hotel's exterior looks a bit dated, but the interior decor, both soft and hard furnishings, is very upscale. It's exceptionally clean, and the doorman proactively opened the door and helped with luggage. The staff were all very warm and attentive. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but for someone with simple needs like me, it was more than enough! The afternoon tea had a rich and exquisite variety. The restaurant staff were all incredibly enthusiastic and meticulous, promptly attending to every customer's needs and responding immediately. Overall, it's excellent value for money and highly suitable for bringing older family members. Recommended! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The hotel staff across all departments were incredibly warm and proactive. They met all the requests I made when booking the hotel. The room was clean, quiet, and had a sea view. The hotel also has a pool, and there's a Cafe de Coral restaurant on the ground floor. It's a 30-minute walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's and just over 10 minutes to the Grand Lisboa, which is very convenient. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Macau.

For my trip to Macau, Trip.com recommended the Holiday Inn. Upon arrival, I found the hotel conveniently located on Beijing Street. The front desk staff and lobby manager were all very attentive and welcoming, truly reflecting the high standard of service you'd expect in a tourist city. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, clean, and well-designed, and the room service is excellent. During my stay, I reported some noise from the surroundings, and it was addressed promptly. I was very satisfied with their quick response. The hotel boasts an excellent location, with cultural landmarks such as the Lotus Square, Dr. Ho Yin Park, Macau Polytechnic University, and Beijing Tong Ren Tang all nearby, offering plenty of options for exploration.

Perfect for business and leisure travelers.

NNibieshalea 2026.05.04
Location: The location is excellent. It's about a five-minute walk to Senado Square, then another three minutes to St. Dominic's Church, and seven minutes more to the Ruins of St. Paul's. Next door is Yaohan department store, and across the street is Macau Square. The central shuttle bus stop is right downstairs. It's a five-minute walk to the old Grand Lisboa, and then another five minutes through an underpass to Wynn. Facilities: My room type had a small bathroom with only a bathtub for showering. The toilet was behind the door, which made it a bit cramped. The mini-bar fridge offered two drinks, a beer, and a packet of crisps for free. However, only two small bottles of drinking water were provided daily. Service: During the May Day holiday, they allowed a half-hour late check-out. I booked breakfast at the front desk the night before for MOP 88 per person. The Chinese and Western buffet, though not extensive, was decent. The first time I visited, I stayed in Taipa. This time, I stayed on the Peninsula. If I visit for a third time and stay on the Peninsula again, I might choose this hotel.

Fantastic! The staff were so warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the Kyoto Restaurant's double dinner set; it's incredibly good value for money. To be able to have such an amazing meal in Macau for around 100 [currency, assuming MOP or HKD based on context] is unbeatable. I'll definitely be back!

LLengyu55After booking, I tried to contact the hotel multiple times without success; no one responded to my requests. Finally, Ctrip helped me communicate with the hotel the day before our trip. Initially, I was concerned about renovation smells in the Bond Tower and asked to be moved to the Banyan Tower. Ctrip informed me that as of April 2026, only the Bond Tower was open, which I accepted. Then, I requested to switch our king room to a twin room, and the hotel said it would cost an additional 90+ RMB, which I also agreed to. Many online reviews mention free room upgrades, but honestly, don't expect any of that anymore. I had also mentioned it was our 10th wedding anniversary, and while they didn't upgrade our room, they did give us a small cake. However, it was clearly an oversight as it said 'Happy Birthday' – very perfunctory. Furthermore, during check-in, halfway through the process, a South Asian supervisor-like staff member suddenly came over and, with a disdainful look, told us we needed to pay extra. I was thinking, hadn't Ctrip already clarified this, and hadn't we agreed to pay? Why did she act as if we were unwilling to pay and deserved her contempt? This was the first time I'd ever had such an uncomfortable check-in experience in Macau. The hotel's facilities and design are undeniably exquisite and beautiful. Although the room was small, the Bond Tower didn't have the strong renovation smell that some online reviews mentioned, which was a relief. The hotel also provided Eiffel Tower tickets, which was a pleasant surprise. After returning to the room in the evening, I noticed there was no turndown service provided, nor was the room tidied up a second time. The service was a bit lacking. Also, there were no size options for children's bathrobes; my 130cm, 80-catty (approx. 40kg) son couldn't wear theirs. The service staff and front desk employees had poor English proficiency. The only thing that truly impressed me was the heated swimming pool. Located on the 3rd floor, it offered great views, with comfortable loungers, lemon water, and towels readily available by the pool. The water temperature was a very comfortable 36 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for swimming even in winter, which was excellent. Overall, you can stay at this hotel, but don't have high expectations for the service.

GGuest UserThis hotel is huge! They offer shuttle services to major attractions and the airport, which makes getting around super convenient. We arrived a bit past 1 PM, and the front desk was able to get us into a room early. Our room was spacious and beautiful, and the garden was absolutely delightful. The breakfast here is also excellent – I've had many hotel breakfasts, and this one really stands out (though I haven't tried any super high-end places). There's even a mall within the hotel with plenty of dining and shopping options, although it's so big my feet hurt from all the walking! It's also very close to the airport. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.

NNichengbaixiaobaiI booked this for my parents for 4 nights, and they said it was excellent. The hotel upgraded them to a suite, which they estimated was at least 120 square meters – much more luxurious than the room they originally booked. They really felt the 'decadence and luxury' of Macau and were very satisfied with their trip. I chose this hotel for their in-depth Macau experience because it's new and has convenient public transport nearby. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Macau!

MMengmengda2024The hotel's location is fantastic! There's a bus stop right downstairs with direct routes to the airport, Taipa Ferry Terminal, various hotels in Taipa, and even the Macau Peninsula – super convenient. The room was spacious and very clean, and the bed was nice and soft, which was great for staying with a child. All the toiletries and slippers were provided for free. Plus, there's a whole street of great eateries just downstairs. It's a shame that Yang Zhi Jin Lao, a restaurant downstairs, was under renovation during my stay and I could only order takeout. All in all, this hotel offers excellent value for money and I highly recommend it.

JJayJay1I booked a King Room with an ocean view. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The minibar items were complimentary, except for the premium bottled water and wine (though no wine was provided in the room). A deposit of MOP 1,000 was required at check-in, which was fully refunded upon checkout. The hotel also offered free shuttle buses to major hotels and key departure points across Macau. The concierge, Charles, was particularly helpful in advising us on the correct shuttle bus number to reach our intended destination.

GGuest UserI brought my child to Macau for a competition and only stayed one night. This room type has one large bed and a sofa bed, which was perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. The room was clean and quite spacious. It's very close to the Border Gate and Qingmao Port, just a 13-minute walk away. Across the road downstairs is the Lai Lai Supermarket, and on the second floor of the hotel, there's a Chinese restaurant with reasonable prices, making it very convenient. Ppeggy7758Our room was on a higher floor, so it was pretty quiet with minimal noise. Overall, the room was clean, though the facilities were a bit dated. The main drawback was the air conditioning at night; it was very loud and constantly rattling. Everything else was generally acceptable. When calling a taxi from the front desk, there were often issues with the line being busy. If you urgently need a car, it's best to check if someone is getting out of a taxi at the entrance, or head over to the taxi stand at Galaxy, or use their dedicated ride service. The location isn't right next to Galaxy, but it's still quite close. We were able to walk to Rua da Cunha (Taipa Village) in the evening and back from there without any trouble. The Grand Hyatt Residences are right next door, as is the Inn Hotel Yacht.
