"I fully enjoyed my stay at Sun Moon Lake Hotel in terms of their hospitality and beautiful & peaceful location. They have supported me to get to one of the old tea farm which needs special transportation arrangement by arranging a very attentive and helpful driver. They are located at a peaceful quintet location which is about 15 min walk from Suishe visitor centre also nearby secret small water area where fireflies appears at night of spring season. They have a free bicycle service too so I could also fully enjoy both cycling and morning walk to see sunrise at a quiet wooden boardwalk. I would like to come back at the next firefly season. Thanks again for the wonderful stay."

"Having a hot tub right in the room for a private onsen experience was absolutely wonderful! It saved us the trouble of going to an outdoor bathhouse, offering both convenience and privacy – I loved it! A big thank you to the hotel's front desk staff too; they clearly explained the check-in process, and everyone was so friendly and polite. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, and I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance. Superb! 👍👍"

"Great location right by the pier, with easy access to restaurants and shops. If you get a lake view room, the sunrise is amazing and the value for money is pretty good. The only downside was that a neighbor on their balcony was smoking, and the smell was hard to avoid. Parking is available at the nearby Zhongxing connected lot, which isn't too far of a walk."

"We had a great stay! The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing excellent recommendations for local attractions and even helping us secure discounted tickets. The room was clean and offered a beautiful view. A highlight was the breakfast—simple yet delicious. To top it off, the host kindly arranged for staff to drop us off at the Shuishe main bus station. "We absolutely loved this hotel! We only stayed one night, but the views of Sun Moon Lake were breathtakingly beautiful, completely different in the morning and evening – truly a treat. The arched balcony window was perfect for photos, and we even caught the sunrise. The staff were very polite and helpful. Overall, the cleanliness was good, though there were a few minor stains on the towels, but we had our own, so it wasn't a big issue. The breakfast selection was a bit limited, but the taste was decent, and it offered good value for money. The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk to Shuishe Pier, making it convenient for boat tours to enjoy the beautiful scenery."

"The B&B was clean, spacious, and the breakfast was delicious. The owner was incredibly friendly. My child accidentally left our room key at 7-11, and the owner went out of her way to help us find it there – and she actually did! We're so grateful to her. She even personally took us to a bike rental shop. Friends visiting Sun Moon Lake should definitely consider staying here."

"About 5-7 minutes walk from the Sun moon lake drop off area, which was convenient. The room was a lot bigger than I expected, did not expect to have an additional bed as I was travelling solo. With another travelling companion it would be really worth the price. There was even an entire outside area! Staff were friendly, and also provided breakfast, which was nice. The location of the room is about another 2-3 minutes walk from the reception, and was quiet and relaxing even in the day. Only concern might be that the rooms might feel abit old (being a wooden cabin and all) and eerie at night, since there is not much lighting. Also WiFi is not very good in the room"

"This guesthouse is near Shuishe Pier, about a 15-minute walk away. The owner will personally drive you there during the day, but try to check in before 6 PM, otherwise the owner will need to pick up their child. The rooms are new and clean. Disposable toiletries are available on the first floor, and there's a microwave. Each floor has two rooms, and there's a water dispenser. One room offers a view of Sun Moon Lake and is very quiet at night; the other faces the road. Breakfast is available in Chinese or Western style and is placed outside your room around 8:30 AM each morning. We chose Chinese – fried dough sticks, rice balls, soy milk, and yogurt – delicious! You can see Sun Moon Lake from the balcony. The owners are a very nice couple; you can buy boat tickets directly from them and they'll even tell you about the tour routes."

"Unbeatable location & insane lake views! 😍 The Good: Perfect Location: Seriously, the location is unbeatable. It’s right at Shuishe Pier, so starting your Sun Moon Lake boat trips or bike rides is a breeze. Super Easy to Get To: If you're taking public transit, it's just a short walk from the main bus stop for the Taipei/Taichung shuttle buses. Total lifesaver if you have luggage. That View Though!: The absolute highlight was the room's balcony. The view facing directly onto Sun Moon Lake is stunning. Waking up to that scenery was worth every penny! The Not-So-Good: Basic Amenities: Just a heads-up that the hotel is pretty minimalist with the amenities they provide. They’re quite limited, so you might want to pack your own favorite toiletries. Overall: Honestly, for the views and the convenience alone, I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend grabbing a lake-view room!"

"We stayed in a Lego family room, the room was very new, very clean, very creative, played with the children at night, they liked the bed design of the bunk bed. The service was very kind and gave us very good suggestions for surrounding attractions. Unfortunately, it was raining and it was impossible to ride a bicycle by the lake. Very recommended to stay at a B&B!"
