"I want to specially thank the two lovely ladies in my photo, Caroline and Linh. Whenever I encountered a problem and brought it to their attention, they were both incredibly enthusiastic and helpful in resolving it. A special shout-out goes to Linh, the manager on duty that day. In my eyes, she's an angel with a beautiful heart. When I told her about the issue I was facing, she promptly and exceptionally resolved it. I feel very fortunate to have met her on my last day staying at the Shangri-La. I had booked a total of three nights, and the first two nights were not pleasant. When I reported issues to the manager on duty at the time (a Korean lady, whose name I've forgotten and don't wish to remember, she was incredibly arrogant and unreasonable, I truly don't understand how she holds a managerial position), I received no respect whatsoever. Instead, she used her position to intimidate me. When she said she couldn't resolve it, I asked if I could speak to her manager. She arrogantly said she *was* the manager, implying that speaking to anyone else wouldn't help and she wouldn't change my room. I told her fine, and the next morning I went to the front desk to find another manager to request a refund for the third night's room charge, as the current room was not what I wanted. Originally, encountering this problem left me with some regret, but thanks to Manager Linh's thoughtful and efficient help in resolving it properly, she not only dispelled my troubles but also transformed this experience from regrettable into a perfectly wonderful memory! Her professional and warm service made me feel so comforted and cared for. Thank you for your dedication, I will definitely come again next time~💛"

"I stayed for five nights, and the hotel's location is excellent. Everything listed below is within a 10-minute walk: Sydney's bustling pedestrian streets, QVB (Queen Victoria Building) for shopping, luxury stores near Sydney Tower, Circular Quay ⛵️, Darling Harbour, museums, art galleries, the Botanical Garden, and Sydney University… all very close. A taxi to the Fish Market cost 33 AUD and took 8 minutes. Alternatively, it's a 30-minute walk. The only downside to the room was its size; with two suitcases, there was hardly any space to move. There were no slippers or toothbrushes, but these could be obtained from the front desk; we brought our own. There are several convenience stores downstairs. In Sydney, convenience stores without a liquor license cannot sell alcohol, so if you want a drink, head to a bar or buy alcohol beforehand from a licensed store to avoid searching later. We found one such store at Circular Quay. Manly Beach is accessible from Circular Quay and offers beautiful scenery. There's also a good Chinese restaurant nearby called 'Mr. Huang's shop'."

"The hotel is in a great location. Central to circular quay and darling harbour. Very close to wynards train station. Although on a steep road it’s not too far to walk from York street. Everything about the hotel was spotless from having the doors open everytime you entered or left the hotel. The only disappointment for us was the breakfast. We felt for what you are paying for the food wasn’t value for money. All in all a very nice hotel and would reccommend."

"We had a wonderful stay at Capella Sydney. Our sincere thanks to Rebecca Chan and Kelly Huang for thoughtfully arranging our rooms and making our family feel so warmly welcomed. We would also like to thank Monica Cisneros for the delicious macarons—they were a lovely and thoughtful surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the hotel’s elegant interior, which beautifully combines classic heritage character with refined modern design. Every detail made the stay feel calm, comfortable, and special. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience. "The location is superb. It's just a short walk from Central Station, and there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, so you'll never be stuck. Major attractions like Circular Quay and QVB are also easily accessible by light rail or bus. Housekeeping cleans daily. However, the sink is quite narrow, so the floor gets splashed when you wash your face (lol). There are no slippers, but a full range of amenities is provided. Overall, it was a good hotel."

"The transportation is incredibly convenient. There's a bus stop right outside the door, and it's easy to get to the subway and train stations. There are also several convenience stores nearby. If you need a larger supermarket, it's just two bus stops away. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!"

"The window view from the room type I booked was absolutely stunning, no words can describe it. Waking up to that view every day really lifted my spirits, so I'm giving full marks for the ambiance, with the view alone accounting for four points. Everything else was pretty standard. The cleaning was decent, and the bathroom felt relatively new overall. My only minor complaint is the tissue paper supply – they provided very little each day and didn't replenish it even when it was almost empty, so we constantly had to ask for more. This also applied to the restaurant, where there were no individual wet wipes or tissues on the tables; we always had to request them from the staff. Furthermore, the breakfast selection was quite limited 🤦🏻‍♀️. Having stayed at this hotel for almost a week, I got tired of the breakfast options within a few days as there wasn't much variety."

"Surry Hills is a really artsy neighborhood, and the room was much more spacious than I expected. They even have a record player and records available for guests, which is a cool touch. The gym is well-equipped too. Plus, it's super convenient to get to the city. Definitely a great place to stay!"

"Beyond the great location with a room overlooking the Sydney Opera House, everything else falls short when compared to Capella Sydney. The hotel's service feels incredibly stingy, unfitting for a hotel of this caliber. Firstly, all staff (except the doorman) weren't very enthusiastic. The lady at check-in had a forced smile throughout, didn't offer a room upgrade, and the room we got wasn't even in a great spot compared to others of the same type. We were given a small piece of chocolate upon arrival, and when we asked for another because we liked it, we were told no. The breakfast buffet only offered some fruits, yogurt, bread, and juice. If you wanted an omelet, you had to pay extra after inquiring. It's ridiculous!"

"Wonderful family trip staying at the Darling at the Star! Location is good, very close to Fish Market, nice atmosphere with cozy cafes & restaurants at close vicinity (and a large Coles too!) Stunning view of the Darling Harbour. Room is neat & spacious. Staff were extremely helpful, especially credits to a Front Desk Staff named Tristan settling my room arrangement & bill issue very efficiently. Highly recommend this hotel!"
