The hotel is beautifully designed, with a unique and modern atmosphere that makes the experience feel special from the moment you arrive. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well presented, and the views added an extra touch to the stay. The location is also great, offering a peaceful waterfront setting while still being close to everything. The staff were welcoming and professional, which made the overall experience even better. A perfect choice for anyone looking for comfort, style, and something a little different in Launceston.

GGuest UserSecond stay at Nightcap Riverside. Price point was my main motivation, I paid $130 for the night.
Rooms are very comfortable, clean, well equiped, well heated .Renovated.
Bed was very comfortable, black out blinds good. Hotel internet signal strong and good speeds. Location is about 5 kms north of the CBD, need a car. a 20 minute drive from the airport. Meals at the Riverside Tavern next door typical pub meals, large servings and reasonable quality. A small convenience store just across the road, a Woolworths supermarket about a 3 minute drive away. Some noise from the highway nearby, but quiet during the night. Fair bit of noise early ( circa 6 am on ) as early morning workers driving past, and quite a few “ tradies “ stay at Nightcap Riverside and start early. Didn’t bother me as I rise early also, but don’t expect a sleep in.
Overall, very good value for the price point.

The hotel's surroundings are relatively isolated, mostly factories and tool shops, so local conveniences aren't readily available. The building seems to be a conversion of an old granary, offering a strong sense of space, but the overall atmosphere feels a bit stark and lacks warmth. It's more suitable for a brief stopover during a journey or a business trip; for a vacation or leisure stay, the experience might feel rather ordinary.

YYuchenThe hotel itself is very beautiful, great location as well. However the room feels very stuffy, the balcony is locked only a small window is left open and the screen window is incredibly dusty, I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. Also the housekeeping is very unprofessional, she came straight in without even knocking the door around 9am while we are still sleeping, just saying hello when unlocking the door. Unhappy about that.

FfishingrabbitWe enjoyed our two-night stay at the hotel. The staff at the reception were incredibly accommodating, offering us a ground floor room without even needing to be asked. This was especially helpful given my husband's mobility limitations.
The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a queen-sized bed that was perfectly fine for us. The location was excellent, with numerous restaurants nearby. We were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary bottled water in the room.
One of the highlights of our stay was the stunning sunset views from our room, which made for a truly memorable experience.

The family room was spacious, with a small kitchen/dining area and equipped with basic stuff such as fridge, kettle, microwave oven and plates/cutlery/glasses. Note that you cannot cook. Sink is a bit small to wash the dishes. Short drive from cataract gorge, 2mn drive from supermarket. Very convenient.
