"We had an amazing dining experience at Sokyo. The sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh, and every dish was beautifully presented. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, making it a perfect place for a special occasion. The staff were friendly and attentive, and overall it was one of the best Japanese dining experiences we’ve had in Sydney. We’d definitely love to come back."

"This hotel has very clear pros and cons. The upside is that it's new and looks very clean. The downside is its location at the intersection of two busy roads. Even with the windows closed, you can clearly hear the accelerating engines of motorbikes and sports cars on the street, which is incredibly loud! I barely slept a wink and had a dreadful night here. I wouldn't recommend this place for guests who are sensitive to noise. Also, the parking entrance requires you to get out of your car to swipe a card, which is quite inconvenient. Overall, my stay was a very poor experience. I had originally booked for five nights, and thankfully, I was able to modify my reservation to just one night. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in Australia, and I will never choose to stay here again."

"I had requested a late check-out in advance. My child was told it would only cost $5 to extend until 12 PM. However, at 11:50 AM, they charged us $50! Thankfully, the Trip.com customer service was understanding and processed a refund for us. The reason we needed a late check-out was because it was incredibly noisy at night and we couldn't get any sleep."

"Wonderful family trip staying at the Darling at the Star! Location is good, very close to Fish Market, nice atmosphere with cozy cafes & restaurants at close vicinity (and a large Coles too!) Stunning view of the Darling Harbour. Room is neat & spacious. Staff were extremely helpful, especially credits to a Front Desk Staff named Tristan settling my room arrangement & bill issue very efficiently. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"I absolutely loved my stay here—it’s a short, scenic walk over the bridge to Town Hall train centre so the location is convenient and very ideal. Onto the room itself, it is modern, incredibly cozy, and snug with fixtures and paintings from local artists featuring local flora. How lovely! Also, peep the Dyson hairdryer!! There are also water coolers right at every floor, with still or sparkling dispensers; this thoughtfulness extended to the convenience of travellers really stood out to me, this hotel has anticipated our needs completely! Finally, the reception and staff were so friendly and helpful :D Thank you for making my stay in Sydney such a memorable one 💜"

"My room was fine the first couple of days; it was a four-person room with only the two of us. But when I decided to extend my stay, I had to change rooms and couldn't stay in the original one, which was very inconvenient. Also, the cleanliness of the kitchen could be improved."

"This hotel offers fantastic service! The front desk staff were warm and efficient during check-in, and the room was clean and tidy with comfortable bedding. The staff were always available when needed, proactively helped with luggage, and even provided a welcome fruit basket. My stay was incredibly comfortable, and I highly recommend it!"

"Hands down the best hotel in Sydney. It's truly a top-tier hotel, comparable to the J Hotel in Shanghai or the Park Hyatt in Kuala Lumpur, as it occupies Sydney's tallest building. The room amenities are fully automated; you just need to tap the tablet for anything you need. Plus, all rooms come with smart toilets, which is a rare find in Sydney hotels. The concierge service is also excellent. The only downside is that the breakfast is truly awful."

"The environment is very clean and hygienic. Definitely worth staying again."

"The room was as expected as it was in my budget What let them down from a four star rating was the Mattress (hard as a rock) and the daily housekeeping which was minimal When I arrived there was a small piece of toilet paper in the shower/toilet area. I didnt pick it up as I thought housekeeping would remove it next day. It was still there when I checked out a few days later Vacuuming wasn’t done for two days and bench tops weren’t wiped down Bed wasn’t actually made, the bedding was just pulled up I was there for an emergency visit to Sydney so I didn’t really worry about the shortcomings. The Motel served its purpose for my visit The only thing that would stop me staying there again would be the mattress situation. Way too uncomfortable"
