I accidentally misplaced a laundry bag while doing my laundry. It was a souvenir I'd brought from my previous hotel and something I was quite fond of. The staff offered to check the security cameras for me, but I told them it wasn't worth the hassle for something of such little value. To my surprise, they called me that afternoon to inform me they had found the laundry bag – what a wonderful surprise! The hotel's service was outstanding, and the breakfast restaurant had a lovely ambiance. Photos included!

An excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers! The hotel is strategically located in a prime downtown area, offering superb connectivity while providing a tranquil retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. The staff delivers professional and highly attentive service, maintaining high standards from the check-in process to efficient luggage handling. The breakfast buffet offers a wide and varied selection, with the freshly brewed coffee and local delicacies being a particularly delightful surprise. Whether your visit is for business or pleasure, this hotel consistently provides an accommodation experience that truly exceeds expectations. Highly recommended!

Minimalist approach by the hotel needs improvement, the towels are little old and best replaced, the toiletry is basic and needs to be replenished with more without asking There were two receptionists, one is very polite and helpful providing a very pleasant service. however, the other is completely opposite, being unhelpful, provides bare minimum in answer and seems that any query is a bother to her. So training to upskilled to the latter is required. The accommodation is a motel style that is close to the Tangzixiang metro and walking distance to the kunming old town . Very convenient for travellers who just need a bed and a shower to rest. Overall a pleasant stay.

Extremely satisfied with this booking, as the staff allowed us to extend our late check-out, knowing that our children needed to take an afternoon nap. The location is also in the middle of the busiest area in Kunming and near the old street. Many shopping centers, as well as next to the central square, where you can see locals dancing at night. There’s also a dog/cat cafe in the building opposite, hence many activities for families with young children to do.

Holiday Inn Kunming City Centre – this place is truly a luxurious hideaway in the urban jungle! The location is absolutely unbeatable, placing you right in the heart of Kunming the moment you step out. Shopping, dining, and sightseeing attractions are all within easy walking distance; it's so convenient, my navigation app felt completely redundant. The room was so spacious it felt like there was a VIP lane just for my luggage. The bed was so incredibly soft, it could turn anyone into a 'Sleeping Beauty' (though I was most likely roused by the morning sun). The bathroom boasted water pressure strong enough to almost surf, turning a simple shower into a mini-vacation by Dian Lake. But the absolute highlight was breakfast: freshly prepared Cross-Bridge Noodles and Flower Pastries, and even the soy milk carried that unique Yunnan sweetness. I nearly turned the hotel into my personal canteen! The gentleman at the front desk had a smile as bright and inviting as Kunming's weather. Upon check-out, he even surprised me with a packet of Pu'er tea as a thoughtful souvenir. This gesture alone instantly made me a loyal fan! Next time I'm in Kunming, my feet will undoubtedly find their way back here automatically. After all, who could bear to leave this 'happy haven' where the entire city feels effortlessly at your fingertips?

The Grand Hyatt is currently the most highly recommended hotel in Kunming. From its prime location, exceptional hotel quality, superb service ethos, to the diverse culinary offerings, it truly stands out as the best in Kunming. While I used to prefer staying at the InterContinental when visiting Kunming, the Grand Hyatt clearly has the upper hand in terms of location. It's right next to Plaza 66 (Henglong Plaza), making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Plus, there are numerous attractions nearby, all within walking distance.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a truly wonderful stay at FourPoints by Sheraton Kunming City Centre Hotel! ✔️ Halal food paradise at your doorstep – The area is filled with countless halal restaurants, making it extremely convenient for Muslim travelers. Every meal was just a short walk away. (I’ve attached a picture of the famous beef roti stall located just at the hotel doorstep. Can go at 8am, no need to queue) ✔️ Walking distance to Shuncheng Mosque – A beautiful and historic mosque located nearby. It was a blessing to be able to walk there easily for prayers. ✔️ Self-service laundry available – This was such a lifesaver during my trip, especially after exploring Yunnan. Clean clothes without any hassle! The staff were warm and helpful, the room was very comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring Kunming. Highly recommended for both families and Muslim travelers looking for convenience and comfort.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff. The location is unbeatable, situated close to numerous tourist attractions and right in the heart of the city. What’s even more convenient is that it’s adjacent to a subway station, making it incredibly easy to get around. The staff were all very friendly, cheerful, and always willing to help with anything I needed. A special mention goes to Da Er, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their professionalism and warm attitude made my experience even better. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for great service, a prime location, and convenience. Highly recommended!

This was our second hotel in Kunming. Compared to the dazzling variety of unique guesthouses, an established star-rated hotel often doesn't stand out as much. My husband even echoed my thoughts, saying, 'Let's just go with this one.' At first, I felt that paying over 600 RMB here didn't quite offer the same value or 'Instagrammable' charm as a 500+ RMB guesthouse, and it lacked anything truly special. However, for business travelers or anyone needing a truly good night's sleep, it's an excellent choice. The double-glazed windows provide superb soundproofing, and the hotel's service, bedding, and attention to detail are all quite commendable. I wouldn't recommend it for a leisure trip, though, as there isn't much to explore in the nearby old streets. For hotel visuals, it's best to check their official photos, as I only took a couple of quick snaps.

I'd give this hotel 10 stars if I could! On the day before our check in, the staff reached out to us to ensure we would have no problems. It was easy to connect with the hotel on wechat and their responses are very prompt. The setting of the hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are exactly as pictured. The hotel staff was very kind to give us a room upgrade. The facilities are very clean and the bed is comfortable. The room provided everything you could need. The room came with many activities that we could enjoy as well, which included a calligraphy experience, hanfu costume experience and tea experience. Regrettably, we did not get to take part in these as we had other plans, but this was a nice bonus. I do not have pictures of the room but I have attached images of the amazing breakfast I had here. The breakfast options were plentiful and they even check in with you the day before on what you would like to have, so that you do not have to wait long when you have breakfast the next day. The afternoon tea was also a delicious selection of snacks. The hotel also offers goodnight dessert every night which was again, super yummy. Finally, I want to commend the service of this hotel. They gave us such a warm welcome from the moment we entered and were always attentive to our needs. I didn't get the names of the staff who served us specifically, but all of them were 10/10! I highly recommend this hotel. One thing to note, there are no lifts so if accessibility is an issue, do check with the hotel! They have rooms on the first floor too. Truly a beautiful full stop to our trip in Yunnan 🫶💙🩵
