Hotels in The The Mixc, Kunming

This hotel is located across from Kunming Foreign Language School, in a very quiet area that's quite suitable for self-driving, though it's a bit far from the main tourist attractions. The room was very clean, and they even cleaned it daily during my stay. The disposable toiletries and mineral water provided were plentiful, and a robot delivered anything else I needed. My only minor issue was a night light under the bedside table that would turn on with the slightest movement, which disturbed my sleep a bit.

I always stay at this hotel when I come to Kunming; I'm a loyal customer. This time, the male staff member at the front desk provided excellent service – he was enthusiastic, attentive, and very patient. He proactively helped me switch to a more suitable room, considering my needs, and made the check-in process efficient and thoughtful, which made me feel incredibly welcome. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the overall service and environment are impeccable. It offers great value for money, and I had a very comfortable stay. Also, I discovered the coffee at the entrance is quite good.

My boyfriend and I chose the perfect hotel for our trip to Kunming! I just have to rave about it! 👍 The location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a hundred meters from the subway station, and getting to the World Expo Garden for a walk is super fast. The airport express bus goes directly there from the airport, which is so convenient for tourists! 🥳 Right from check-in, the little details impressed me. The front desk lady not only processed everything quickly but also offered us some refreshing iced fruit tea. Once we entered our room, opening the window revealed the lush greenery of the Spring City, and since it's May, the air was pleasantly cool – the breeze was so comfortable. The bedding was just the right firmness; after a day of sightseeing, I just collapsed into bed and fell asleep. The bathroom was spotless, even in the corners, and the toiletries had a fresh, pleasant scent. Breakfast offered a huge variety, and the freshly cooked 'small pot rice noodles' were incredibly delicious – you could taste the true flavor of the Spring City in every bite. Both the owner and the staff were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastically recommended local spots that locals frequent, helping us avoid a lot of tourist traps. It's truly hard to find another hotel with such great value for money and thoughtful touches everywhere! Next time I come to Kunming, I'll definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit! 👏

We upgraded to a deluxe twin room, but the room was too small. The beds were 1.2m, which wasn't ideal for a family with two adults and one older child. When we ordered takeout, there wasn't even enough space for the three of us to sit and eat. The saving grace is its excellent location, directly opposite MixC, making dining very convenient. There's also a top-tier hospital, Yan'an Hospital, within 2km, which was quite handy when our child fell ill. It's also not far from the high-speed train station and Plaza 66, so the location is indeed superb. They also accommodated our request for a late checkout until 2 PM. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but the taste was decent. Overall, it's alright. Hampton by Hilton is suitable for short business trips; their standards are generally high and consistent across different locations, though the comfort level is slightly lacking. The price during the summer wasn't particularly advantageous either.

Facilities: Antique and distinctly Chinese in style, offering a refreshing and excellent experience. Cleanliness: The hotel is very clean, both the rooms and the outdoor areas are spotless. Environment: Although the hotel is located in a bustling city center, the interior environment is very garden-like, complete with a pool, which is wonderful. Service: All staff members demonstrate strong service awareness and are always ready to assist whenever needed.

First, the pros: The hotel is close to the train station, about a 15-20 minute taxi ride. Second, there's a night market right downstairs, making dining very convenient. Third, the hotel environment is quite good. The second floor has a gym and a laundry room with three LG washing machines and dryers. Now for the cons: Why are the staff chasing after good reviews?! At checkout, the front desk asked for a good review, and I said okay. But, we were on vacation, so reviews aren't always immediate. Why did they specifically call in the afternoon to ask for a good review? I'm so speechless. You provide basic services; you didn't upgrade my room or offer complimentary breakfast. Whether or not I leave a good review, or when I leave it, should be up to me, right? Why call specifically for it? And they called the number we left at the front desk... Is the purpose of leaving a phone number at the front desk just so you can ask for good reviews?

The hotel is quite new, located in a high-rise building above MixC Mall. From the airport, Line 6 takes you directly to MixC Mall's B2 level, then you can easily walk through the mall and take the escalator – a very smooth experience. The next day, I used Line 6 again to transfer to Line 2 at the train station, avoiding traffic congestion. Transportation is indeed very convenient. The toilet paper is from Xinxiangyin, the hand soap is from Guoshuyuan, the bathroom fixtures are from Submarine, and there's a smart toilet, a Xiaodu smart speaker, and a separate washing machine – all very nice touches. The owner kindly arranged a one-hour late check-out for us and even enthusiastically recommended nearby restaurants.

The room was incredibly comfortable for sleeping, pitch-black and very therapeutic! The hotel's decor and the room itself were meticulously designed, full of thoughtful details that showed great care. The cleaning staff were very polite and provided excellent service! I'd also like to specifically commend a few hotel employees: Andy, Satomi, and Isabel. They were all humble, warm, and great at problem-solving, with a strong service-oriented mindset. I hope they continue to maintain this high standard!

Five out of five stars, this stay was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel's environment and hygiene were impeccable; the room was spacious and airy, the bedding soft and pleasant on the skin, and the soundproofing excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and polite, handling check-in and check-out efficiently, and all our requests were promptly and properly addressed. The location is superb, making dining and getting around very convenient. With comprehensive facilities and great value for money, it's perfect for both leisure and business trips. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town. Highly recommended!
