Hotels in Kunming Wild Animal Park/The Golden Temple scenic spot, Kunming

Hotels around Cuihu Lake are generally quite pricey, often either too small or too old. If you're looking for good value and a relaxed trip, Fairfield is an excellent choice. It's very new, rooms are spacious, and the higher floors offer nice views. There's a gym and laundry facilities. Breakfast is decent, but sufficient. You can even order takeout, and a robot delivers it to your room. Donghua Farmers Market is just a 300-meter walk away, offering a huge selection of fruits, cooked food, and vegetables. I found prices there cheaper than what I saw in the city center. However, since Donghua is also getting more tourists now, it's still worth comparing prices and checking out a few different stalls. The market is a great place to visit daily. If you're heading to Cuihu Lake, a taxi ride is about 10-20 yuan. Half a day to a full day is probably enough to explore the area around Cuihu Lake, which includes the former site of Southwest Associated University, Cuihu Lake itself, and Wenlin Lane. The Provincial Museum is not in the city center; it's best to set aside half a day specifically for that, and a taxi will cost around 25 yuan.

The best hotel in this 10-day trip. The hotel is very easy to find. Just walk out of the subway station, exit D, turn left a little bit and look at the road on the opposite side, you will see the yellow hotel sign. The staff is very welcoming and attentive to customers. Traveling from Kaili to the hotel at 7 am. I said that I traveled by train all night, can I check in now? She said okay, upgraded the room to a large room. The room is very clean. Complete equipment. Convenient transportation. At night, there is a barbecue restaurant opposite the hotel. There are many restaurants around the hotel. If anyone comes to visit Kunming, I recommend it.

My companions and I were all extremely satisfied with this stay. The 'posu bao' (flaky pastry bun) was a particular highlight, everyone raved about it! My colleague kept saying you provide 'angelic service.' I love every staff member here; they are attentive and thoughtful, and you can truly feel the genuine kindness radiating from them. Just now, the cleaning lady passed by and gave me an angelic smile, even though she could have easily ignored me while I was engrossed in my computer. This 'hidden gem in the city' that you meticulously maintain allowed us to feel incredibly relaxed. Whether it was the private hot spring, the calligraphy practice, or simply reading in the tearoom with the cat while listening to the rain, it all brought immense relaxation to our minds and bodies. Thank you for taking care of us these past few days. It was a truly wonderful experience, and we'll definitely be back! Service: 100%! Familial service; the staff here truly see every individual guest.

My overall experience during this stay was absolutely fantastic, and I must give a special shout-out to Lily (the server). She was incredibly welcoming during check-in, proactively helped with luggage to my room, and thoroughly explained all the hotel's amenities. Knowing I was traveling with two young children, she thoughtfully provided special kids' slippers and toothbrushes and even added extra safety rails, ensuring my little ones' safety during our stay. Since it was raining and difficult to go out, Lily actively invited the kids to participate in the hotel's DIY craft activities. My younger child is only two and not yet skilled at mixing and applying colors, but the staff patiently helped with the paints and guided her hand-in-hand through the creation process. At one point, my older child needed to attend an online meeting, and it was easy to be disturbed by her younger sibling in the room. After speaking with Lily, she immediately suggested using the hotel's study room, where she flexibly managed the ambient noise based on the children present, which was a huge help for me. Objectively, the room's hardware facilities might have a slight drawback, but the staff's exceptionally thoughtful and proactive, warm service more than made up for any shortcomings in the hardware. It was arguably the best service I've ever experienced during any stay. I'll definitely prioritize choosing this hotel again for my next trip.

Facilities: This is a new hotel with very modern facilities. The lobby is beautiful and the breakfast spread is exceptionally good. Cleanliness: The cleanliness is top-notch. I stayed for several days, and it felt consistently clean and hygienic. There's a dedicated person cleaning daily, the towels are good quality, and the shower pressure is excellent. Environment: The environment is quiet, which I think is its main selling point. It's set back from the main street, but taxis can still easily access it, which is very convenient. Service: All the staff here have excellent attitudes!

The room was spacious and tidy, with elegant and comfortable details. The view outside the window was lush green, and the double-paned windows blocked out all noise, making it very quiet. The surrounding old town has many great food options and local snacks. The service was absolutely impeccable. They proactively upgraded my room when there was availability and offered discounted breakfast vouchers, along with many recommendations for sightseeing and dining. Very satisfied 👍

The bathroom was incredibly dark at night with the lights on. There was a karaoke bar next door that played music all night, and people were talking loudly in the hallway at 2 or 3 AM. The soundproofing was terrible. The room was also very poorly lit; you had to keep the lights on all day, and even then, they weren't bright—it was extremely dim. I definitely wouldn't recommend booking this room. I don't know if it's just my room type or if all the rooms are like this, but the soundproofing was so bad that I didn't fall asleep until almost 4 AM.

This stay experience exceeded expectations. The hotel is strategically located, convenient transportation, convenient for eating and shopping around, the room is cleaned very clean, there is no smell, the layout is spacious, the lighting and ventilation are very good, the mattress is moderately hard and soft, and the rest quality is very good. Xiao Li Xiaozhao at the front desk service is intimate check-in and check-out efficiency is very high, feedback is also handled quickly, located in complete supplies, stable hot water, quiet overall environment, cost-effective online, whether it is travel or business trip is very suitable, the following recommendations

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the World Expo Park, making it easy to get around. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and hygienic, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. The staff are warm and welcoming, especially Xiao Dong at the front desk, who was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

Family trip, second stay within six months. The quality remains consistently good and it offers great value for money. As someone who's particular about cleanliness, I was impressed that even behind the bedside cabinets, everything was thoroughly cleaned with no dust – really excellent. The breakfast is also good. For those driving, there's really no need to stay in the city center; this location is very convenient.
