However, despite choosing a non-smoking room, we could already smell cigarette smoke as soon as we stepped out of the elevator, which was quite disappointing and a definite minus point. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was decent, with a good variety of food options available. We also added breakfast for an additional child. The price stated on the Trip.com booking page was RM24.50, but we were charged RM29.50 instead. You may wish to update the information on the booking platform to avoid confusion for future guests."

A bigger bonus is the abundance of fantastic eateries nearby. It's ideal for travelers who enjoy urban exploration and convenience. The overall experience was relaxed and comfortable, making it a highly recommended accommodation choice in Kuching city center."

"4🌟 stay at Riverside Majestic Hotel Astana Wing for 4D3N. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with very friendly and helpful staff throughout our trip. Housekeeping also did a good job with room cleanliness and bed arrangement daily. One of the best parts of the stay was the beautiful view overlooking the Kuching Waterfront. The sunset view from the room was really nice and relaxing, especially during the evening. Breakfast had quite a good variety. During our 4D3N stay, the live stall consistently served Laksa Sarawak and Kolomee, which was a nice local touch. The salad section and some hot dishes were changed daily as well, so breakfast did not feel too repetitive. However, for a 4-star hotel, there are still quite a number of maintenance details that need improvement. On our first night, we faced an issue with the air-conditioning not being cold enough. After informing the front counter, the staff responded well and arranged a room change for us. The second room had much better air-conditioning. Another small point for improvement is the room amenities. Coffee and tea were only replenished on the first day of check-in and not refilled during the following days. Overall, still a pleasant stay with good service from the team, but the hotel facilities and maintenance can definitely be improved further."

Housekeeping always comes early in the morning and will leave a note under your room if you put do not disturb. Always need to ask housekeeping to come and clean the room if the paper is there, there was one day that we just put housekeeping green lights on and ignored the paper, the room was not clean when we went back at night."
