Koyao Island Resort Reviews

I visited over a weekend with my wife and three daughters. We booked a family beach villa and had a beautiful stay. Please note, that for those who are sensitive to mosquitoes, the rooms are infested with them. The property does their best in providing repellents of different types but good to know ahead of time. Also, to note, the family villa is one large open room with two king beds; perfect for families with small kids but not for two couples. The property’s access to the beach is ideal. We experienced the complimentary kayaking, and our long boat ride came to pick us up right off the private beach. The gardens, the swimming pool (1.2mtr), and the beach access makes It ideal for families with young children.

Splendid location, great vibes and crowds, very good breakfast which can also be served floating on the pool if you rent a villa. The sunrise is breathtaking, the villa is simply fantastic! A must go hotel should you travel to Koh Yao Noi!

The facilities are very old. The open-air showers only have hot water; the cold water is broken, so you can't shower. The tent screens are covered in pudding. The only selling point is the same ocean view as Six Senses. The beach chair cushions are also full of stains.

Everything was perfect except that outdoor activities were expensive and the menu was not very extensive.

Great resort with very friendly staff, start from check in to check out. Amazing beach and swimming pool area,with fantastic views. Great spa,especially two ladies Rut and Rah - massage was the best (Koyao Special). We stayed in beach villa - very clean,outdoor shower feels like Maldives holiday. Would highly recommend ❤️

Amazing views that make this hotel special. The tents are spacious and comfortable however looking a bit tired. Our pool was cleaned by hand every day however the tiles were green. Beautiful free standing bath but the water runs brown which is off putting. Hotel staff were super helpful and the manager was fantastic. Rather pricy for what it is.

Kayo Island Resort in Koh Yao Noi is a truly beautiful and tranquil retreat. It’s wonderfully quiet, making it the perfect escape for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge. You really feel close to nature here — from the sounds of the ocean to the tropical birds in the trees. The food was consistently delicious, with a great selection of Thai and international dishes. The staff were warm, attentive, and always happy to help. I also appreciated the variety of day trip options offered through the resort, which made it easy to explore the surrounding islands and natural attractions. Overall, Kayo Island Resort is an ideal destination for those seeking peace, natural beauty, and great service in an unspoiled setting. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Couldn’t recommend more highly - incredible spot and views. Simple, but thoughtful and very well cared for. Great breakfasts, super fresh bbq whole white snapper and phad se eiw were the food highlights. We stayed in a family villa which worked well for us (2 young kids). Staff are all so friendly and helpful. Wonderful to have sea kayaks and paddle boards on tap. Frank and I went and discovered our own private beach. ️ Thanks so much

Koyao Island Resort turned out to be the perfect choice for our holiday. The place is simply beautiful — the rooms are clean, comfortable, and designed in a “close-to-nature” style, featuring a semi-open sky shower and wooden décor throughout. The resort’s restaurant was the best we experienced during our entire stay in Thailand. The staff at the pool, restaurant, and reception were all wonderful, kind, and welcoming. The beach is stunning, sandy, and peaceful, with the added bonus of complimentary kayaks for free exploration. The pool overlooking the shore is lovely and relaxing. In short — pure paradise and joy. I couldn’t have asked for a better choice for our family holiday.

Fantastic stay! Everything from the delicious food to excellent customer service to the gorgeous grounds. we stayed in the tents, luxury and nature! Will be back!

Wecame for quality family time and ut was the perfect place for it: relaxing, kayak, great food, comfortable pool, sandy beach with great sea to swim in. The villas are beautifully designed in a close-to-nature style, and they are very clean and cozy. Yamin and Kelvin from the reception are extremely nice and welcoming, as is the resort manager. Koyao Island Resort was the perfect getaway for our group of friends—peaceful, charming, and beautifully set against the surreal backdrop of Phang Nga Bay. The beachfront villas gave us space to relax and reconnect, and we loved the balance of adventure and downtime. Island hopping was a highlight, and every moment felt easy thanks to the warm, attentive staff. A great spot for anyone looking to unwind with good company.
