I had reservations for two rooms. We got there at 4:00. Check in is at 4:00. The man at the check out said that the rooms weren’t ready. It would be 30-45 minutes. I had my 92 year old mother with me. Finally at 5:45 I went and asked were the rooms ready and they said no and they didn’t know when they would be ready. A one and a half hour wait. I said can we cancel and they said yes. We cancelled and went to the Hilton in Madison. It was like night and day. The front desk was as friendly as she could be. The people T the front desk could have cared less about our wait or us. More or less rude. The downtown Hilton smelled like cabbage when we were in the lobby. Not a great smell. My son went to the Mens restroom and said it was disgusting. There is no excuse for nasty restrooms. There were shady people hanging around the front of the hotel. Don’t even think about staying at he downtown Hilton. Lower price hotels beat the downtown Hilton by miles.

The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Excellent front desk attendants and housekeeping. Actually everyone I ran into was very nice. My issue was with the toilet. It ran the entire time I was there. I called the front desk to tell them the water in back was running and it wouldn’t flush because it wasn’t filling up. They sent someone up to repair it, (he was even nice) but whatever he did didn’t work. He had to come back again and it still wasn’t right, but at least it flushed now. We just decided to keep the bathroom door closed so we wouldn’t have to hear the constant sound of water running all night. Other than that, the stay was pleasant. Hotel could use some upgrades. I might stay again if I’m in the area.
Went to the bar in the lobby for lunch and really enjoyed the experience! Our bartender's name was Tay and she was amazing! She made great drinks and was very helpful with the lunch menu. I tried the Flatliner (espresso cocktail) and my wife had the Freakshow red wine. I recommend the beef brisket sandwich. We'll definitely be back to try the dinner menu.

When we arrived, the employees are so friendly and upbeat that they even carried on till we checked out! We stayed in the suite with 6 of us and it was great. The room was huge, and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, and everyone was full, which was perfect before we got back on the road to Florida. Lastly, the location, we felt very safe in. And we appreciate the extra measure they take to continue that! We will def be back when we take another road trip to Florida again in the next year.
The waiter was very friendly when we checked in in the early morning. He gave us six bottles of water. The hotel was very quiet.

Very Good
This hotel has a severe bed bug infestation. I was waken up out of my sleep to discomfort and itchy skin. I turned the lights on to observe the bed, I found bed bugs were crawling all over the pillows and the sheet in visible view to see. I waited for the manager who was supposed to arrive at 7 am, he did not arrive until 8 am. After explaining to manager that my room(111) had bed bugs, he looked unconcerned about my complaint. I offered to show him pictures I took of the bugs crawling on the pillows and my bites
DDream35974867280Upon arrival we were dubious about the location but they do have gated parking so decided to proceed. This hotel has been updated for the most part but I was very horrified upon checking in and getting ready to wash up when air and very dirty muddy water came gushing out of the sink. I let it run a bit and it did clear up but it was really shocking. The same thing happened with the bath when I went to take a shower, lots of air, mud and muddy water came out. The phone in the room did not work so I couldn't call the front desk. Because I was so tired and the water appeared to clear up I just went to bed. The beds are comfortable and pillows were good. The next morning when I went to check out I asked about the water issue and was told that unfortunately the City of Jackson doesn't inform the hotel when they are doing construction and they had been working right around the corner. REALLY? How does mud and and air get into the hotel system just because construction was going on? the hotel does offer a full breakfast but we were afraid to eat it not knowing about the water.
GGuest UserI was traveling from Orlando Florida to Hot Springs Arkansas. My parents have stayed at this property in the past and recommended it to me. I am a semi-retired chef with 45 years experience and 21 years with Marriott. I am glad I did stay here. If you could have milk or water available during breakfast that would be great. I plan to stay here on my way back to Florida.
MMardelle LVery pleased with attention to everything. Larry at the front desk is amazing. He is so helpful and has a great personality. All of the other staff were equally as friendly and helpful. I also want to compliment Demetra (I hope I got her name correct. With travel and several hotels I may have the name wrong. If so, I apologize to her.) She is at the front desk too and is a wonderful, helpful person. Everything about out 2 night stay was good. No problems accommodating our dog.
GGuest UserThe hotel is old and dirty—lots of noise and people yelling in the parking lot through the night. There is a guy who, like a pop-up tent set up in the parking lot selling pulled pork. It looks like he has been there a long time. The room surface was somewhat clean; however, the furniture was stained and dirty. We had a no-smoking room, but the table has burn marks. The tub had dirt/mold build up in the corners and behind the bathroom door. The sheets were stained. The door lock was broken. The window curtain was falling down. The site said there was free breakfast – there was no breakfast. Be alerted there was no fire alarm or sprinkler. The door had a 1-inch gap at the bottom. We will NOT stay here again. Should have left – but would not refund our money.
This motel is the best in town; it's clean and comfortable, the best option for my family, and when I come back to the city, I want to back to the same motel; my family and I are very impressions about the cost and the attention
Llouie0904The Red Roof Inn is recently remodeled, with new staff and owners. This hotel has gone through major improvements with remodeled rooms, new furniture and comfortable beds. It is very clean and well maintained. The outside areas are nicely landscaped, very well lit and secure. A major improvement from earlier days! Highly recommend it since new owner, Bob Patel took over!
