The location is good, on the border of the Konak in a small street that leads to the boulevard. There are two bus stations and one metro station nearby. The sea and the Clock Tower are an easy walk, half an hour...
My room was very small but clean. The problem was the window that could not be opened and ventilation was not possible. There is no partition or shower curtain in the bathroom. There is also no shelf for toiletries.

"The room was large but had a tiny little window facing out onto a courtyard filled with pipes and ac vents. Dim lighting coupled with muted brown wall colour made it feel like a coffin. Called customer experience number on phone and was hung up on .....most likely a language barrier. The water in the bathroom was lukewarm. Front desk service was very helpful especially when helping one of us who needed medication. It was difficult organizing food when we arrived late at night( phone in room was having issues dialing and electronic ordering system was unable to handle room numbers starting with an M) however when it arrived it was tasty."

"The transportation is very convenient, there are tram stations, bus stations, and a large parking lot, which is self-driving friendly.
The room is clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the bath water is super large.
The receptionist is beautiful and enthusiastic, with good English and smooth communication. The Izmir Grand Elevator and the museum in the hotel are very close and can be reached on foot.

GGuest UserWe arrived late in Izmir, so booked this hotel which nearby airport. It is only 11 mins drive from airport to the hotel. If you need, there are supermarkets within 1 km. It is quite convenient if you need to buy sun creams or other stuff you need.
The room is relatively clean, only the carpet has some stains.
The service is all good except for parking part. The hotel shows it has free parking and we told to give the car key to the staff. When we need the car, we can call the receiption ahead, then it will be ready for us. However, in the next morning, we were being told the car is just parked cross the street instead of in the garage. Therefore, we just park the car cross the street by ourselves instead giving the car key to the staff.
The breakfast buffet has a relatively good range of options. The hotel also has a nice pool to chill.

GGuest UserGreat location also they let me check in early however on arrival no explanation about WiFi breakfast times and where it is he just gave the key and let me go and there was no space giving to ask question. Second night at 1 am there was so much noise and banging when I went to check one of the staff member was trying to communicate with other visitor who was complaining about aircon staff didn’t speak any English I offer to help while I was trying to talk he was not much bother to listen he was loud and was banging the door despite being at 1 am and other people complaining about the noise. Other visitor was so unhappy she left the hotel middle of the night to go another hotel.

JJosef1064I got upgraded from an economy to a standard room on the 4th level with a great view of Pagos Hill and Kadifekale Castle.
Situated in a local neighghborhood that come across as being dodgy but was in fact rather save.
It's a 5 minutes walk Basmane station to get to Izmir I +- 1 hour,v Pammukale +-3 hours and to the airport 20minutes.
The room was clean albeit small and a buffet breakfast of assorted breads, hard boiled eggs , olives, tomatoes , cucumbers, cheeses along with jams and honey was good enough kick off the day with tea and coffee included.
It's also walking distance to the Agora Open Air Museum and the Kemeraltı Bazaar.
I had a comfortable stay here and as a solo budget traveller, the Olimpiyat serves my purpose.
I was given a small gift when I checked out which was indeed a pleasant surprise.

AAlicePWe had a pleasant stay at piano hotel but some service issues made our stay unpleasant.
The room was clean and neat. It is a bit small for two people but big enough for 1 night.
The hotel has free parking for hotel guests but we were called twice in the morning to move the car (the first time we were still sleeping as we had arrived late and we were tired).
Breakfast was good with enough options. You can only order other drinks such as cappuccino after 12 am.
According to trip.com checkout is between 12:00 and 12:30. We felt rushed to check out at 12:10 as the man at the front desk didn’t confirm checkout time. So it is 12 and not 12:30.
There was also another very rude guest rushing us to move our car, again!
Overall it’s value for money but not a relaxing hotel with good service bust miscommunication.

GGuest UserThis is the worst experience I have ever had when booking a hotel online. On the first day, I arrived at the hotel alone. The pretty lady at the hotel counter explained to me that coffee, tea, and water were all free, and everything else had to be paid. Also emphasized that the room is a non-smoking room. I was also asked to sign a document. It's a coincidence that it was very cold on this day, for me as a person from Taiwan. I don't know if I don't know it, and I'll be shocked if I stay there. Originally, I chose the most expensive room mainly because I thought the room was big enough, so it should have better sound insulation. I didn’t expect this weird room to be really weird. The kettle was filled with white scale. I tried to clean it at first, but later I found that it couldn't be cleaned at all, and it was all covered with white powder. I said I wanted to get a new one. I still had to wait until the next morning to go to the counter and ask for it to be replaced. What's even more exaggerated is that the air conditioner is placed in the kitchen. Then imagine that you can transmit the air conditioning from the kitchen to your master bedroom through the living room. As you can imagine, it's simply impossible. And the hotel staff didn't think this was a problem.
So in order to prevent myself from freezing to death, I took a Youyou card and inserted it in my room. I didn’t even dare to get up when I went out, for fear that the temperature in the room would drop. The next day, my boyfriend arrived. I asked him to go to the counter and get me two bottles of water. A boy's waiter told him 60 Turkish dollars, and the next day I thought to myself that I would find the waitress and she would return it. The result is really a pipe dream. After explaining a lot, I can give you a few bottles of water if you want. As long as the money goes into their pockets, they can never take it out. The sound insulation of the room is also extremely poor. Anyway, you can complain about everything you can think of.
The most important thing that made me furious was leaving for the day. He said to make sure we had snacks. Since I'm not in the habit of eating snacks in restaurants, I thought there shouldn't be any, but then he said yes, so I was sure my boyfriend had some. Told me a bunch of stuff. I heard chocolate,,,, and two bottles of water. I asked him if water doesn’t cost money? He said the two bottles in the refrigerator were charged. I really don’t think that’s how business works. He said he wanted 190 Turkish dollars. I directly gave him 200 yuan, and he pretended that there was no change for ten yuan at the counter. I asked him to keep it because the driver outside was waiting for us to go to the airport.
Really, really, really don’t book this room. Because once you order, you are guaranteed to regret it.
The scenery and people in Türkiye are really great. But the service quality of this hotel really deducted points for Türkiye. It's simply embarrassing.

DDr. Dennis E. EricsonMitte Port Konak Hotel's infrastructure is very new and they have a great breakfast, they have a local variety of cheese very good pastries and some roasted mushrooms and potatoes. So big variety of jams and fruits.
Their spa and Turkish bath was closed when we try to visit normally they say it's free to use for every guest.
The room had not enough windows but the AC was working powerful to the cooldown. Only problem beds are a little small. Wi-Fi is working well. There was a mini fridge. They have safe lockers in the room. They have TV. The bathroom is very good, hot water and water pressure was perfect. Except toothbrush they provide everything.
The location of the hotel is good if you travel with your car or take a taxi but walking to public transportation is a little hard. It may cost 50 TL from the Konak Meydan to the hotel by taxi better not talk during the night.
The hotel staff was very nice to us and other guests. There are many local customers and abroad from a variety of countries from France, China, Iran, France etc.
