Great hotel, with unbeatable view of Ella rock on the balcony. However the room did not have universal plug sockets, the hotel provided a hairdryer but did not fit the plug socket. It is also very difficult to get to with suitcases. Fine if you’re backpacking, but carrying suitcases up the massive hill is very difficult. Perhaps the hotel should look into purchasing their own tuktuk to ferry customers up and down the hill. Not everyone is a backpacker!

On a hillside, the road is extremely difficult to find. Opposite is the woods, there are monkeys, squirrels, birds, very ecological, so there must be mosquitoes. No air conditioning, the toilet light changed, and the boss could not be found. There is no front desk, it is an uncle who runs his own business. He wants breakfast and coffee. He is very arrogant, and the uncle is scared to run down the stairs and scare me!

What's the most important thing in traveling? It is of course a high-quality accommodation for the hotel control.
The EKHO hotel is on the edge of Eller town, not far from the main street, making it easy to travel. The characteristics of a good hotel are: clean, quiet, comfortable and modern, rich breakfast, and warm staff. Seems very ordinary ... However, isn't it very unusual to encounter a hotel without regret during the trip.
ok, for the fun of travel, recommend it!

Дружелюбные хозяйки, очень добрые и приветливые, никаких проблем не было. Балкон с прекрасным видом на достопримечательности Еллы. Единственный минус это немного грязная постель и с крыши постоянно падала что то черное и по ночам там что то бегало) но это Шри ланка, проблемы с полом и потолком здесь распространены.

The hotel has incredibly beautiful views, the windows overlook the cliff, the jungle, tea plantations. The breakfast is good, hearty. The staff is very responsive, always ready to help. It's cool at night, so ask for extra blankets.
The only downside is the pedestrian road to the hotel, as half of it is on concrete, the other half is on the ground, where there are leeches in the wet season, they have time to stick to you in 4 minutes of walking.
The hotel can only be reached by tuk-tuk along a narrow road, the staff kindly gave us a ride to the car on the day of our departure.
I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

The view from the breakfast balcony was amazing and the breakfast was delicious. We asked for extra pancakes! The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. It is a short walk to the city centre - good location because it is quiet.

QQiongqiongGood for value. The location is very good, it’s at end of the town, convenient to go hiking and the restaurants. It’s quiet at night. The room is very clean. The owner is friendly. He gave us a pot of tea to welcome us when we arrive. Also he provided us the bus schedule information and advices for the time in Ella.
It will better if there is a kettle so we can try Ceylon tea we bought.

The desk area wasn't very private and we were right next door to the only other people there, so would have liked to know that it's open concept decks! Also, it's a long way away from the downtown of Ella if you would want to walk in, so something to be aware of when booking. However we stayed during a rainy time and loved our stay at this boutique hotel.

GGuest UserWe arrived tired and out of sorts, but we were greeted so warmly that our spirits immediately improved. The hosts gave us tea, chatted in a homely way - you feel like a welcome guest, not a client.
The hotel is on top of a mountain, and each room has an exit to a terrace with a stunning view. You wake up in the morning - and in front of you there are only mountains and silence. The room is clean, cozy, everything is thought out to the smallest detail.
Breakfast was prepared especially for our preferences: fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, toast, even smoothies! The staff is not formally polite, but truly kind.
If you want to not just spend the night, but feel cared for and relax your soul - this is definitely your place. I want to come back again and recommend it to everyone. Many thanks to the hosts for such an atmosphere!

NNicholasGood location, right outside of the buzz of Ella. wonderful hosts. just a tip you can get down to the train tracks right from the guesthouse to get into the town. much easier than taking the stairs. makes the walk about 5 minutes instead of 20. highly recommend this stay! would stay again.

ДДмитрий 27I really liked the location. If you go there by car, you need to have the skills of a professional driver. The view from the upper rooms is very beautiful. At the moment, until November 30, there is a renovation of the pool located in the hotel. But all hotel residents are accompanied by a pool located below and there is a beautiful view of the mountains. Very good photos of the lounge pool, I highly recommend. In terms of price, most likely average of all those presented in this area, in terms of quality, a very quiet hotel not far away, the nearest street, we went down to the cafe for 6-7 minutes, this should be taken into account if you are not a sports person. Then it will be difficult for you. Tomorrow, the average European American fried eggs sausages salad. Nothing extra. If you want a beautiful view, wake up in the morning, check into rooms above the first floor. Good travels to all

CChristiansenReally lovely place up the hill from the town. Nice and quiet, and the hosts were amazing. Gave us some delicious spiced tea on arrival and a nice mint tea with breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was also delicious (and a huge portion). The only small issue is if you walk from the train station to the hotel, google takes you on a 15 minute route up a winding steep hill. However, there is actually a direct path from the town to the house (have drawn a simple map in the photo here. Yes, you are actually on the train tracks for a minute or two. If you can’t find it, the host can explain how to find the path back into town so at least you won’t need to take the long way into town at night for dinner and fun

TToridesssThe room is large but not clean enough and without air con. The staff are helpful and friendly. For the location, it is next to the city centre so there are many restaurant nearby and there are many options that we can choose. However, the hotel is difficult to find and hair dryer, body wash and shampoo are not provided.
