Family-friendly Hotels in Daxin

This is a lovely property situated in the heart of the Mingshi Scenic Village. The staff are incredibly friendly and happy. The hotels food is simple but delicious and the location couldn’t be better. Rooms are clean and the Mountain View rooms provide a beautiful look out onto the local scenery. Overall this is a great place to stay if you are visiting this region.

This hotel is good for three reasons. First, although it is a three-star hotel, its hardware facilities are not inferior to those of a four-star hotel. Second, the service is considerate, warm and thoughtful, and the breakfast is rich. Third, parking is convenient and security guards are on duty day and night.

I stayed 2 nights at the Mingshi Mountain Village. The amenities were very nice, as well as the service. The location was very convenient for visiting the Detian Waterfall (about 45 minutes away by car) and also for enjoying the Mingshi Scenic area. I rented a bike from the hotel one day (free with your hotel stay) and had a great time exploring the surrounding bike paths - highly recommend! The hotel staff were also great in helping me arrange a car to take me to the Nanning Airport. I also liked that I could go inside the Scenic Area for free with my room card - it was great for evening walks and for the shows held there at night. I didn’t try the pool (but you need to pay extra for it anyways). The breakfast is nice - it’s what you’d usually find for a Chinese international hotel. There was coffee & milk as well! Overall, it was a good stay and I would stay here again.

The stay was very comfortable, the room was clean and hygienic, the boss was very enthusiastic, and he introduced the surrounding ways and routes in detail, which was very suitable for us to go out without a guide, hehe! The street in front of the hotel is clean and tidy, there is free parking nearby, the surrounding environment is very beautiful, the Detian Waterfall Scenic Area is so beautiful, there are few people at this time, and every shot is beautiful. It takes about half a day to play in the entire scenic area, which is not very long, you can play slowly, very comfortable!

Located in the heart of the city center but in a small and quiet street so you don’t hear anything from outside. Very clear, bright and comfortable rooms and the staff speak English so it was very simple to ask some information

The hotel was clean and modern, and every single room has a view of the surrounding karst mountains. The view from the pool is to die for. The food in the restaurant was pretty good, if a bit overpriced. It would be lovely if they also had an English menu, but that's rare in this corner of China, and we managed with rudimentary Chinese and pointing. Be aware that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Other than a small convenience store, there's nothing around. You need a car, scooter or bike to get around. If I had any complaints, it would be that the rooms aren't very well insulated for sound. We could hear everyone who walked up or down the staircase.

It's said to be inside the scenic area, but in fact it's still several kilometers away from the entrance. I was quite disappointed at first, but the store owner provided warm and thoughtful service. The next day, he helped me hire a car and buy tickets for the scenic area, which resolved the inconvenience. There is pastoral scenery outside the room, so overall the price-performance ratio is quite high.

Transportation: It is recommended to drive here. It is really remote. I have been worried about the security situation. It is okay to drive here. I have not seen any transportation so far. It is very close to Detian Waterfall in a few minutes. Special experience: The scenic area is probably deserted. There are not many people. The only boundary monument of the China-Vietnam border is visible. There are a pile of strange-shaped stones in the scenic area🪨. The food nearby is also ordinary. Don't have too many fantasies. Room facilities: The hotel is very old. I booked a single-family house. I was a little scared to live in the main building. The only dining facilities are provided by the hotel. It is not very warm in January. You can wear a down jacket. The sound insulation in the room is terrible. There is no cost-effectiveness. There are not many customers in the hotel as a whole. There are self-organized activities such as hiking, etc. I came on January 10th. It is not hot to wear a down jacket and it is not cold to wear single clothes. But his air conditioner is not hot. I was freezing to death when I slept at night. .

The hotel is in an unbeatable location. It is an ideal choice for transiting to Detian Waterfall. The room is clean and sanitary in the tourist area. Across the road is the parking lot and the visitor center. From there, you can take a shuttle bus directly to the waterfall. During the Spring Festival, the traffic jam was very serious. I stayed here a day in advance and left after breakfast at 8 o'clock the next day. I came out after the water was released at 12 noon. There was not much queuing throughout the whole process. The guy at the front desk was very nice and even set off fireworks for the children to watch. Thumbs up 👍

The hotel service is good. When you approach the room, it is warm inside. The air conditioner has been turned on in advance. The power card in the room is always plugged in. Other hotels rarely do this! A buffet breakfast and lunch are provided, but you have to walk to the Mingshi Villa buffet restaurant 500 meters away. The restaurant is by the lake and has a beautiful environment. The food is okay, not much, at most 4-star standard. The facilities in the room are average, the bed is hard, and one mattress has collapsed and deformed in the middle, but it is good to be able to book it during the peak tourist season.
