I chose this inn blindly because of its laundry service, but I was surprisingly satisfied! We drove there and had parking right outside. The next day, we were just a short walk to the visitor center, which was very convenient, and we didn't have to pay for parking! The owner's food was also delicious, and they offer group buys, which have rave reviews! It can get quite crowded at mealtimes, so you might have to wait in line.
Summary: Convenient transportation, good food, including breakfast, a washer and dryer, and a convenience store next door, which also stocked disposable toiletries.

This guesthouse has an excellent location, only 400 meters from the waterfall scenic area, which saves you the money for a sightseeing shuttle and, more importantly, a lot of time. The breakfast was even better than what you'd buy outside, and the room was very clean and spacious. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful; we didn't have time for the complimentary afternoon tea, so they gave us three packs of Vietnamese coffee to take with us instead. I genuinely recommend this place!

GGuest UserThe 270-degree view room I stayed in on the first day, whether it is the size of the room or the level of hygiene or the degree of view and dinner, the family is quite satisfied. If it is the feeling of this night, I will give five points of praise. Because I was very satisfied, the family asked to renew the reservation for another night. Since this room has been booked, I chose another room type twin room. The environment should be said to be still very good, but because of the huge sound from the next door, my mother did not rest for one night. We thought it was the sound of the air conditioner host. The boss said that it was the sound of the refrigerator. No matter what the sound was, he didn't sleep well all night. In addition, there were obvious spider webs above the room lights, and the boss also cleaned them in time. Overall it is good, but I still hope that the owner of the hotel can improve the service and find the problem before the guests solve the problem.

A few words about the hotel's surroundings and cycling.
Dining: Mingshi doesn't have any particularly special restaurants, and it's still under development. There are farmhouses on either side of the hotel. The one on the right is more intimate, but the food is excellent. The one on the left can sometimes be overwhelmed by orders, so be sure to ask if you need to wait.
Cycling: Electric and electric bicycles are available for rent. Tandem bikes are right outside the hotel, which is very convenient and negotiable. Looking at the cycling map might not be clear at first, but the middle circle is the best for photos. Definitely go to that community area, which has newly developed straw huts, boats, and a river. The price is 28 yuan per person, including a drink. Sunset photos at Happiness Bridge are possible. The scenery in the larger circles is similar and perfect for a ride.
A few hotel details: the bath towels are thick, the refrigerator is stocked with drinks, the bedside radio is for contacting the front desk, and the hotel also provides festive gifts and food for small holidays. If I had to offer a suggestion: The washing machine in the bathroom isn't very well utilized. Most elderly people don't change clothes often, and even if young people bring enough, they won't use it. The fact that the washing machine raises the sink and requires a foot pedal is even more inconvenient. Furthermore, the hotel's soundproofing is poor, so the noise from the washing machine would definitely disrupt your rest.
This is a very good B&B, much more cost-effective than the nearby Changliu Mountain Villa.

00960****This was an absolutely perfect trip; I'd call this the ultimate beautiful hotel in China in my mind! Every step within the hotel offered a scenic view, and from the moment we parked, we were greeted with incredible warmth and service. Every staff member we encountered offered a friendly greeting. Our hotel butler, Nami, was absolutely amazing, fulfilling every request we had – we were so touched! She even helped us capture perfect shots, which made us so happy! We barely wanted to leave the hotel during our three-day stay here.
Our room had a superb, unobstructed view that was stunning. The room itself was very spacious, fully equipped, and full of thoughtful details. Snacks, drinks, and other items were plentiful, all complimentary, and regularly replenished! The in-room amenities were among the best I've seen in any hotel, with a variety of pillows, baby supplies, feminine products, and more.
The hotel has three restaurants. We tried the Thai restaurant once, and the food was excellent, the taste was great, and the view was even better! Breakfast was semi-buffet style – what I'd call 'pretty food.' The taste was ordinary, but sitting in that beautiful, scenic restaurant made even just having congee worthwhile! In the afternoon, the hotel offered an outdoor afternoon tea with roasted sweet potatoes, roasted marshmallows, sugarcane juice, and more!
There's also a leisure area with books, billiards, and board games. The hotel's attention to detail is remarkable; no matter where you are, there's always a seating area and refreshments available.
Oh, and the vintage bicycles provided by the hotel are super eye-catching when you ride them out! My husband also commented that every detail was well thought out. One evening, when he went night fishing and his visibility was poor, a staff member even lit a fire for him to provide light, which was incredibly heartwarming. This is a hotel I would love to return to, a place that perfectly embodies the scenic beauty of Guangxi. We look forward to our next visit!

It's situated right next to the LUX* hotel, and its proximity to such a prestigious brand alone speaks volumes about the quality of the environment. (As a seasoned hotel enthusiast who has experienced most of China's top luxury resorts, I'd even go so far as to say that for families, Changliu surpasses LUX* in suitability and overall experience). It's only about 100 meters from Yulin Dam, making it incredibly convenient for visiting nearby attractions. Complimentary bicycles are available at the entrance, perfect for exploring the beautiful and enjoyable cycling routes. For photography lovers, the hotel even offered a complimentary photoshoot. Plus, there are plenty of engaging activities like making fragrant sachets and pounding Ciba, catering to all our family's diverse interests. 😸 The hotel facilities are brand new, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the attention to detail is truly impressive. The staff are incredibly warm, thoughtful, and always ready to assist with any request. With an amazing infinity pool, a lavish breakfast spread, delightful afternoon tea, and complimentary nightly desserts, it's absolutely perfect for both family vacations and romantic couples' getaways.

MM17034****The hotel is located behind a residential area, quite a walk from the main street. The entrance was flooded when I arrived, which was a bit of a bummer 😞. You have to walk through alleys next to farmland to get there, and with ongoing construction, the surroundings weren't great.
The guesthouse itself was decent. The decor, design, and cleanliness were all fine. My room had a good view (even though it was a corner room and looked out onto farmland and sheds), and I imagine it would be beautiful on a clear day.
Breakfast was standard guesthouse fare, and the hotel even baked some egg tarts for guests in the evening, which was a nice touch.
The price was reasonable for the National Day holiday.

__WeChat33545****We traveled during off-peak hours and arrived at the hotel quite late. We slept until noon, and the owner upgraded us to a room with a bathtub for free, which the kids loved. The room was very clean, and it had an automatic toilet. The view from the window was very pleasant; we could have spent the whole day there quietly. Then we went cycling. The rice paddies were starting to turn yellow, making it a great place to bring kids. The off-season prices were very reasonable. It was fantastic! We'll definitely come back next time! [heart emoji]

The only downside: there is no rice field at the door, it is a piece of mud. Look at the pictures of the previous comments that there are rice fields in front of the mountain. I don't know if it is not the time for me to go, and I haven't had time to plant. It is recommended that you can check and replant in batches and maintain the landscape in front of the door.

LLeob*98The hotel was simply amazing: perfect location, outstanding view from the swimming pool and the garden, fantastic service as well as a super nice hotel staff. They offer you a driver service to go to the waterfalls or to simply eat something outside.
If you are tired and just want to relax at the hotel they offer an afternoon tea service with plenty of snacks.
At night time you can enjoy a BBQ while watching a movie at their outdoor cinema.

EEatPrayTravelLocation of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

However, upon checking in, we were immediately and pleasantly surprised by several things: the thoughtful shuttle service from the hotel staff, the picturesque surroundings, the ethnic-style decor in our room, and the well-maintained facilities – which were far from old! Our family instantly felt we had made the absolute right choice. We also received complimentary fruits and souvenir tea upon check-in. In the evenings, we could enjoy performances, and the Fish Scale Dam was just a short walk away. Everything was simply wonderful! We're so glad we decided to come to Chongzuo, Mingshi Pastoral, and this resort! This entire trip was truly memorable and left us longing to return.
