This was my first time in Dali, and the Minatuan hotel offered a breathtaking panoramic view of Erhai Lake from its southern end, like an unfolding traditional Chinese ink painting. From my room's balcony, I had Cangshan Mountain and Haixi to my left, the winding coastline of Haidong to my right, and the vast Erhai Lake meeting the blue sky and white clouds straight ahead. Lying in bed, I was greeted by an expansive and ever-changing landscape painting. The hotel's facilities were smart, and the attention to detail was exceptional, showing the owner's modern approach and good taste in hotel management. Its location was excellent, right in the city, making it very convenient for taxis and food delivery. The staff were well-trained, warm, and professional. One small detail left a great impression on me: when helping guests with luggage, they would never share the elevator, preferring to take the stairs themselves. The quality and service were on par with a five-star hotel, truly impressive.

Booked this hotel quite literally last minute for a night as our original hotel booked for this trip didn’t end up working out. Upon arrival, the staff was very welcoming & polite. We were served milk tea/coffee & some fresh fruit. Our room was very spacious with an amazing view of the lake. The electricity went out at night time & the staff were quick to respond with directions & assistance on how to reboot it. Location was convenient as it was close to the Dali railroad station. Old town was about 30 min via taxi as well as areas of lake erhai. We were served delicious noodle soup for lunch the following day. Amazing hospitality, would highly recommend to others staying!

This guesthouse is very close to Dali Station, and the surrounding amenities are excellent. The room instantly impressed me upon entering – the decor is very cozy, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a stunning direct view of Erhai Lake. The facilities are modern, equipped with Harman Kardon speakers and a Dyson hairdryer. The owner is also very kind, and there's an adorable little cat. Thumbs up for this guesthouse! 👍

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. When booking, there was only one room available per night, so I just took what I could get, truly embracing the experience. The mid-stay room change was swift and efficient; the new room was cleaned and ready in no time. Room 201 didn't have a sea view, but its small courtyard offered a lovely, relaxing space. The soaking tub looked deep, but due to the low-set drain, the water level barely reached 15cm. This made it perfect for kids to splash around, though adults could only just manage to cover their legs. The fourth floor houses a gym, a laundry room, and a very photogenic swimming pool. There's a short-legged tabby cat at the hotel with a wonderfully sweet disposition. For breakfast, beyond the buffet spread, there were made-to-order options like rice noodles, wontons, regular noodles, and Ersi noodles, plus common items such as yogurt, milk, and coffee. All in all, I was very satisfied with my two-day stay!

The hotel is perched on a small hill overlooking Erhai Lake, offering breathtaking views directly from the balcony. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, as Didi (ride-hailing) is easily accessible, and food delivery services also reach the hotel. The hotel environment is pristine and beautiful, with excellent facilities. Even the disposable toiletries, like toothbrushes and toothpaste, are of surprisingly high quality. Both the afternoon tea and breakfast were fantastic. The service is exceptionally thoughtful and attentive, including complimentary airport/train station transfers and assistance with luggage. Even on a rainy day, admiring Erhai Lake from the comfort of the hotel was a delightful experience.

The room was clean and tidy, and a full range of toiletries was provided. Both the private in-room hot spring and the rooftop infinity pool were absolutely stunning and incredibly photogenic.

The room was spacious, bright, and uniquely decorated. The panoramic windows offered direct, breathtaking views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, allowing us to soak in the ever-changing and captivating scenery. The kids absolutely loved the large, lake-view bathtub in the room and the rooftop outdoor infinity pool with stunning views. Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake truly felt like a living, unfolding masterpiece. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful, providing such attentive service that made us feel utterly pampered and completely at home. Highly recommend!

This villa is nestled on a hillside near the Xiaguan urban area, with Erhai Lake just a stone's throw away. We chose a room with a partial lake view, and the rooftop pool provides fantastic vistas of Erhai Lake. The Erhai Lake shore is also just a short walk from the villa, ideal for a leisurely stroll and enjoying the scenery. Right next door is Erhai Park; however, we only took our children to see the Monkey Mountain and the red pandas, as there weren't many other animals to observe. Additionally, the location is quite convenient, being close to Dali Station.

The hotel boasts absolutely stunning views and top-notch service. The rooms are incredibly spacious – you'll never want to leave once you've settled in!

Perched up in the mountains, the hotel boasts a wonderful environment. The butler service was incredibly attentive, completely melting away the fatigue and any unpleasant feelings from our Erhai Lake trip.

The sea view from the balcony was absolutely stunning! The two plush alpaca toys in the room were a huge hit with the kids, and there was also a polar bear plush, perfect for cuddling at night. The hotel's service truly shines with its attention to detail; all facilities and amenities are well-maintained, and the staff are always on hand to offer helpful advice. We enjoyed not only complimentary afternoon tea but also delightful goodnight treats. The owner even personally drove us to a nearby restaurant.

The room we booked was perfect for a family of four. It featured bunk beds that the kids absolutely loved, a fantastic sea view, and even a large transparent bathtub that kept the children entertained. My only minor complaint is that the bathroom privacy wasn't very good.

The room overlooks Erhai Lake, the owner is very attentive, and the room is clean.
