"The environment is nice, quiet and comfortable. Arranging various activities is still in place. The meals are average. In addition to the breakfast, the first waffle package is included in the breakfast. The difference must be made (not good) because with the two children on the last day, the hotel arranges a chartered car. The island hopping driver delivered to the town's pier then took the luggage to the next scheduled hotel to pick us up at the pier in the afternoon. The price was not cheap. In order to worry about accepting it, who knows that I can't wait for the driver to go ashore in the afternoon. tt bar (lost professional ethics) advise friends who book this hotel to bring enough needed items in the past the nearest village supermarket is one kilometer away (it is also good to feel the life of the locals)"
"The resort was on an isolated island. Took 20-min car ride from the airport and 45-min boat ride from the port to the island. Our room was supposed to be ocean view, just right behind the sunrise villas. Unfortunately, the trees have grown high & hardly can we see the ocean. So best to go to the beach and enjoy the sceneries there. Not worth paying extra, unless it's sunset villa. Breakfast was acceptable, but in-room dining service need improvement. Especially, the cleaning up part. The swimming pool is under maintenance and I thought seafood & sashimi would be good, but nope, which is a bit extra disappointing. However, the general experience was good since the staffs are very nice and polite. We received different types of local snacks daily and turned out the kitchen made Filipinos food better than international ones. For morning hiking to Eagle Point, it's not really worth it, unless you have a drone to have 360-degree view. Intended to rate 3.8/5, but I got to see the sea turtle so 4/5 ~"
"The room was large and an extra bed was added. Cleaning is very clean. Free drinking water, welcome fruit, small biscuit desserts every day (but not Chinese taste, too sweet). There is a restaurant on the island, the taste is OK, the food is salty. Breakfast is generally the same, the style is relatively small. The service is very good and everyone is very friendly. The scenery on the island is very good, you can snorkel near the beach, all kinds of fish 🐠. You can also play canoe, very good 👍. Just do a good job of sun protection. The island also provides classic routes to play, you can charter a boat, the price is much more expensive than the town, but the service is better."

"A few points to note with this hotel. No hot water, the hotel came to.no solution until Trip.com.intervened, so problem was solved. I like the, roons ,they are Spacious and comfy. No lamp working. In the rooms as i went into 2 !.. No wifi working in the rooms on.third and second floor. Nice pool and breakfast, cereals and waffles and scrambled eggs offered for english breakfast. Got to commend the.staff. so polite and kind.
The hotel is ok if you are alright with hills. It is near Mount Taypas and the town which is a walk down the hill. Shops, restuarants and massage places ate there. I enjoyed Coron and the staff make this hotel amazing. The hotel also has a rooftop- non functional of course but a great view !"
"Quite an old hotel, with outdated rooms. The lights don't work well, the air conditioner doesn't cool well, the water pressure in the shower is weak. But it's clean. Breakfasts are not bad - 150-180 pesos, it is possible to order a transfer to/from the airport for 250 pesos per person."
"location is perfect just few block for a market and walking distance to the marina we're the boats for excursion is dock and load. The hotel accomodations is just basic small bed low and very thin mattress, pillow and blanket is excellent soft, water supply is abundant although electricity us intermitent on and off, our aircondition unit has been affected that doesn't giving cold air glad it was just out last night. pool is beautiful and cleaned , food for breakfast is superb better and giid quality selection. the staff are very polite and respectful, very helpful and get job done as much as possible, they pack a sandwich breakfast for us as we have early trip to El Nido that was very nice if rhem. The water supply is not drinkable so they provide bottled water and you can ask for a refill. They will give you a welcome drink of a fruit drink. This is really a good location, my only dislike is the bed, as it's very small when they say twin bed it is a twin bed, other than that it's ok. Yes its more pricey compare to the sorrounding hotel but the food and pool are the best."
"This resort is really good, it is a good hotel in coron. This is because the flight was cancelled and there is hot water in the bath! thanksgiving! Although the breakfast is relatively simple, I sleep very comfortably at night ~"
"La Natura Resort It is a veritable natural manor, it is said that it was built by Italians, using the style of island dwellings, and full of tropical green plants with vitality everywhere. The conditions are also extremely simple and natural, not even air conditioning (the ceiling fan is indeed enough), but the local waiter has a very good attitude, suitable for people who like to explore and have low hardware requirements.
It is about three or four kilometers from Coron Town, which has been completely deep into the village, but the traffic is still convenient. The front desk will help to call a car and go to the town for 150 pesos (about 20 RMB).
Due to the poor overall development level on Cologne Island, popular hotels such as Zuri, Venus Royal, Funny Lion are not good, it is better to try this one"
"I rushed to the dive shop in town in the morning, but I learned that there was a typhoon and the coast guard refused to allow me to go to the wreck. They suggested that I go to this resort. This resort is right next to the wreck dive site and I can dive at any time, so I made a temporary reservation. of the order. The resort includes pick-up and drop-off. There is an office at the three-way intersection in the center of the town. The bus leaves at ten o'clock. I originally went for diving and didn't expect much from the hotel. Unexpectedly, the hotel was an unexpected surprise. The reception staff on the island were very enthusiastic. They were all smiling from the moment we picked people up from the pier. The scene was very much like being in Madai. One island and one hotel, the environment is very good, the architectural style is a bit like Six Senses, but for me the one drawback is that the room does not have air conditioning, although it is not very hot. The hotel provides three meals a day, but the catering is relatively simple, probably because there are not many guests and it is not a buffet. Each meal has three dishes, a salad, a main dish, and a seasonal vegetable. The taste is basically good. Dinner and dessert included ice cream. The owner and management of the resort are also very friendly. We drank and chatted at the rock bar and had dinner together. Finally, the important point is that I came here to dive, and I can say that this diving resort is definitely the best without even comparing it to Cologne Wreck Diving. Due to its unique geographical location, all dive shops in the town have to take more than an hour to get there by boat, and every person who dives can only hang out on the boat waiting for the next dive. Living here is different. The dive sites are all around the resort. You come back to rest after every dive. It feels like a PG. It is very comfortable and is especially friendly to people with seasickness. The dive guide Josh is a funny big boy. I also want to thank his father Ronaldo from Neptune Dive for recommending such a good diving resort to me."
"It's a basic few frills hotel that's perfect for us in its own way. It's right t on the highway, but interestingly quiet. The room is just right sized with a comfortable firm bed and clean, like I said - basic - who the heck comes to Coron to spend time in a room??? The staff is just really helpful and accommodating to our inquiries and needs. Just treat them like humans... I noticed some travelers who don't even have any respect... these people work hard. Anyways, the place is literally at the foot of Mount Tapyas so it was a challenging hike for 2 retired overweight seniors. Jaicobs is also a block away from Calle Real - the main tourist thoroughfare and the municipal building which housed the police and fire stations, so we felt compketely safe. Cafes, and restaurants also almost 10 steps away and we never had a problem choosing. One block away from San Agustin church, and theres an ATM across the street. I would highly recommend the place. It's reasonable and comfortable."

Great
Nnick kathmanReally nice resort. Clean, modern, several beautiful pools which were never very full and the staff is incredible. They help in any way they can, including arranging for a last minute boat tour for us well outside of their usual hours and seemed happy to make it work (add the guides they work with are fantastic too). It was a very peaceful and comfortable stay overall.
The one issue is the food, they put a lot of effort into it and have a very large breakfast buffet every day, but the food just isn’t that good. There's one restaurant in the resort and there aren’t many (any?) other food options in the area, so it’s pretty relevant. The food is a bit bland or with strange flavor combinations. And worse, it takes a comically long time to get served, even if just a sandwich, and it’s usually cold when it comes. This happened at all 4 of the meals we had there outside of breakfast.
But... It honestly didn't bother us that much. Partly bc we're not big foodies, but more importantly, bc the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone goes out if the way to make sure you get everything you want and then some. I hope they can fix the food issues and this place would be 5 star
AAndrea JhaneThe room was clean and spacious, and the staff were very accommodating. They also offer tour packages and motorbike rentals, which is very convenient, and the hotel is close to various establishments. But what I appreciate the most about this hotel is the staff. I forgot some of my belongings at the hotel and asked if they could prepare the items for courier pickup. However, since Coron is a distant island, the courier couldn't proceed. The best part is that the hotel staff offered to personally bring my belongings to Manila at no extra charge, which was incredibly convenient for me. I truly appreciated the service of this hotel.
GGuest UserThe hotel was generally clean but the elevator and hallways had a weird smell.
We weren't able to swim because we felt that the pool water wasn't clean.
We were a bit disappointed with the breakfast buffet. The food served seemed like leftover food from last night's dinner.
Location is quite far from the city center but we didn't mind since it was our last day.
The staff were nice and accommodating tho
KKurzaThe hotel itself was lovely and the food was good. However, we found the roosters next to the hotel to be very inappropriate and disturbing. We could not sleep properly because they are noisy all through the night. There is no way to block the noise out.
We were able to switch rooms, which helped, but if the hotel is running at full occupancy it will be a problem. About 24 rooms are affected by the noise the roosters make. It is a pity that roosters on a plot next to the hotel causes plenty of discomfort for guests. If I was the owner of this hotel, I would certainly do something about the roosters.
GGuest UserWe had a pleasant stay BUT the check in was not a good experience. We were thankful that we got to check in at an earlier time (around 1-1:30pm) but we were disappointed that upon arrival no one helped us with our luggage. We have 1 large size luggage and 1 small one. After checking in, we were told that we are going to be assisted by one of their staff to our room. We expected that our luggage will be brought to our room but no one did that. The staff who assisted us did not really assist as helping with our luggage, she was just accompanying us to our room, she could not assist us because this staff might not be able to carry our big luggage so we did not ask her to carry it for us. Its just hard to carry the luggage because the room is far from the lobby and the pathway going to the room is not flat or smooth that is suitable for the luggage to be pushed. We had to carry our luggage all the way to our room.
Good points are, the room is huge, the pool is large enough. Breakfast is decent. Wifi is good.
Bad points, that time our cellular network has no signal, brown out some times but good thing they have generator.
Please be mindful of your guests. From the arrival, to departure please be aware of their needs. The hotel itself is very good but the service should be improved.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located about 10-15 minutes from the city center, walking along a busy street.
The hotel has many stairs. MANY. In our case, we had a room on the fifth floor, which involved climbing 100 steps from the bar, which is accessed after climbing two floors (the first to the reception, and then to the second).
Breakfast has eggs made at the moment, (few) fruits, toast and a few other things. It is annoying that they put bananas and mangoes on a counter but say they are not available for breakfast, and that only pineapple and watermelon are the fruits of breakfast.
The toaster is small for the amount of people there is and does not have a hot / cold water dispenser, which requires having to ask a third party to, when they have time, refill the glass of water or add water for tea.
It is surprising that a hotel in a beach city charges a fee for lending a beach towel (100 PHP).
That said, the room was not bad, provided services needed, the reception staff was helpful and helpful.
GGuest UserReview for Ginto Residence in El Nido – 4/5 Stars
Ginto Residence is a fantastic place to stay in El Nido if you’re looking for a central location. This small property with only four rooms feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional hotel, which adds to its charm. The staff are extremely friendly and polite, and communication is easy via WhatsApp.
The amenities are thoughtful – free water, hot coffee, and tea are always available. The rooms are freshly renovated and very clean. The location is exceptional, right in the heart of Corong-Corong, with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you’re in an upper-floor room, the balcony provides a great view of the street below – but keep in mind, you’ll also hear the street noise quite clearly. This makes it ideal for guests who want to be in the middle of the action, but perhaps not for those seeking peace and quiet.
Breakfast is served in a local Filipino restaurant nearby and features delicious, authentic Filipino cuisine. The internet connection is excellent and very stable, which was a huge plus.
One suggestion for improvement would be to add a refrigerator in the rooms, as this would be very convenient for guests.
Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a great option for its location, friendly service, and modern amenities. Four stars!
CCris RuffoloI went on a 13-day trip around Palawan and Coron was my first stop from Cebu. In Coron, I stayed in Dayon Hostel. I was alone for the duration of my three-night stay in the six-bed female dorm. You can choose to lock the door at night for security. I made sure that I turned off the AC every time I went out.
The restrooms are clean especially the toilets although the shower rooms need to be upgraded as some showerheads do not function that well. It will also be nice if they do a thorough cleaning of the shower rooms and the sinks as they looked dirty and unkempt.
There is a restaurant on the rooftop but the options are limited. If you exit through the back, it leads you the main road where you will find a wonderful cafe that serves good sausage meals. There are also several local options available if you want affordable options.
The price I paid was worth the quality of the stay. The hostel is known by tour operators and guides and so it was not a challenge when it was time for pick-up and drop off.
I loved the staff especially when I had to leave early in the morning to head to the port for my trip to El Nido. They arranged my transportation and made sure that I left the hostel on time.
Will I go back? Maybe not and it's not because I don't like it. It's just that I felt that my next stay should be in a private room for another worthwhile experience in Coron. But for those solo travelers on a budget, Dayon Hostel is your best bet in Coron in as far as affordable sleeping option is concerned.
GGuest UserStayed here due to lack of options frankly when booking a hotel for Coron. It obviously fancies itself as a nice resort but it's slightly on the tacky side. To be clear, the staff are very nice and check in was smooth. The pool area resembles that of a slightly tacky European resort and isn't as fancy as it wants to be. The breakfast was lacking and pretty basic. The room is nice and clean. The resort is a bit far out of the town but that's not a bad thing. A tricycle is 40 pesos per person. The hotel transfer from the airport was more expensive than hotels which are closer to the town and so further from the airport!
Overall it's fine but we stayed in another hotel in Coron after this one and preferred that one. I probably wouldn't stay here again. It's certainly not bad but not superb for the price.
GGuest UserThe service staff is very friendly, and the location is very convenient. You can walk to the busiest street in town and the seaside! The twin room we booked is facing the sunset, so it is very convenient to watch the sunset from the room. The room is big, but you just need to pay attention to whether there are mice...
