Located within a heritage park, the hotel is housed in a former Western-style mansion, offering a truly unique atmosphere. The views are also fantastic. The travel photographer was absolutely brilliant – her skills are top-notch, and she took stunning pictures of me! Beyond her photography, she was incredibly warm and enthusiastic, even taking the time to explain the history of the British Embassy during the Anti-Japanese War, just like a tour guide. Highly recommend!

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, offering views exactly as pictured! **Personalized Photoshoot:** The absolute highlight was the personalized travel photoshoot; the pictures turned out incredibly well. I was just wearing my everyday casual clothes and had no makeup on, but the photographer, YaoYao, made me look stunning (I was genuinely surprised by how good I looked!). What truly delighted me was that even with my casual attire, the photos looked completely natural and didn't feel out of place at all (YaoYao's photography skills are exceptional!). The entire shoot was also a really enjoyable experience. I highly recommend every guest staying here to try this! I'll definitely book her again for my next trip to Chongqing!

The hotel's location isn't the easiest to find, requiring a walk up two hills to reach it. It was evident that a previous guest had stored durian in the mini-fridge, as all the beverage packaging inside reeked of it. In the evenings, the hotel places a thermos of freshly-made tremella soup in the room. For check-out, you can simply leave the room key card in the room, which is convenient and quick. However, the downside is that hotel staff don't offer to help you carry your luggage back down the hill to a spot where it's easier to catch a taxi. Upon entering the hotel, there's a faux lawn area that's quite photogenic, and the hotel offers a complimentary photography service. However, I'm already familiar with this kind of 'gimmick,' so I didn't take any pictures. Overall, there were no particular standout features. The room itself was reasonably clean. The hotel is excellent; it truly feels like a home away from home. The views are absolutely stunning. It's a serene haven amidst the city's buzz, yet it retains a strong sense of local culture. My biggest concern about navigating steps with luggage was also wonderfully addressed. They provided a convenient check-in process and excellent service throughout our stay. Man Geng Residence will definitely be my first choice on my next visit to Chongqing.

The property, a converted old mansion, has a wonderful ambiance, and its two-story layout felt especially comfortable. My booked river-view room indeed offered a pleasant view of the river – truly delightful. The manager provided excellent service; they waited in the room to complete check-in, saving guests the need to climb stairs to the front desk. This hotel truly excels in every aspect: its overall ambiance, architectural design, room decor, breakfast, and service! You could even spend half a day just relaxing at the hotel, taking in the scenery and the river breeze. The hotel's exterior exudes a charming Republican-era style. From the rooms, you can enjoy views of the Yangtze River Cableway, Raffles City, and other iconic landmarks. The hotel also features its own private collection/gallery, which is definitely worth exploring. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with an overall retro, luxurious, and grand aesthetic. The hairdryer is a Dyson, and if I'm not mistaken, the toiletries are Diptyque! The Chongqing noodles at breakfast were absolutely delicious! The peas were incredibly tender (I honestly thought they were even better than any I've tasted elsewhere!).

Incredible. Simply incredible service, worthy of a Parisian palace. Superb location, with incredible views of the Yangtze at night. The hotel restaurant is excellent. Everything is customised for you, the customer, with customer service over WeChat with a direct link to the staff no matter the hour. The hotel restaurant has great products at prices that, while expensive in China, are definitely affordable enough for western foreigners.

This is a beautiful hotel in Chongqing and we had a wonderful time staying here. The property is very new, only 3 months old, but delivers on a premium guest experience. The service was 10/10 with the staff always ready to help to take your stay to the next level. The hotel bar/restaurant offers some of the best views of the city skyline and is conveniently located to tourist destinations. The room was clean and very spacious. Turn down service was a great plus. Highly recommend!

We chose Manque as the final stop of our 2.5 wk trip in China, starting from Shanghai. Along the way we bought souvenirs and had them shipped to Manque. The staff graciously accepted the deliveries and even paid shipping fee on one of the orders on our behalf. When we arrived all the packages were waiting for us in our room. Our stay came with a 1-hr photo session and Zixuan photo studio was very accommodating in arranging the time slot. Our photographer Yaoyao took so many nice photos that we had trouble picking out which ones to keep! One word of caution though, the hotel is situated on top of a hill in a historic park, so be prepared to climb a lot of stairs just to get back to the hotel. But then again, the entire city of Chongqing is full of stairs

The first two nights at the Hilton were wonderful, and on the third night, I wanted something special. I was pleasantly surprised upon entering. The decor is a touch of bourgeois luxury, with butler service. The breakfast was decent, with delicious beef, but the Western burgers were average. You need to reserve three free photos for travel photography, but the weather was too hot and sunny. The terrace restaurant would be even better in spring. There's also a museum building with a rich retro style, perfect for photo-seekers. My kids said they didn't need filters. The hotel doesn't seem to prioritize promotion; I stumbled upon a Ctrip reservation, but couldn't find it. Free laundry service would be perfect. Thanks for helping us dry our clothes!
