"It is recommended for business trips. Although the hotel area is smaller than that in China, the business services and breakfast are not inferior to those of domestic super hotels.
Facilities: Good
Hygiene: Good
Service: Good
Environment: Good"
"This hotel is strategically located very close to the train station. The front desk clerk was very polite, very good and very professional. It is worth mentioning that the breakfast is very rich and must be eaten."
"The room is small and a single bed. With a small bathroom. This strictly shouldn't be a hotel, it's more like a homestay. Breakfast is prepared in advance, one box per person."
An old private house built more than 140 years ago located along Mibashira Michi at the foot of Mt Yatsugatake with clear air and delicious water Using plenty of old materials from the Edo and Meiji eras it took two years for the master carpenters who inherited the traditional construction method to create this impressive building filled with the warmth of wood There is also a hot spring facility located a 4minute drive away Please come by all means We are waiting for you
A magnificent resort overlooking the Yatsugatake Mountains and the Southern Alps. Tateshina, a treasure trove of alpine plants, is full of seasonal charm.
Located in Tokyu Resort Town Tateshina, overlooking the Yatsugatake Mountains and the Southern Alps, the hotel offers a variety of activities, including a variety of activities to enjoy. From the spacious guest rooms, you can enjoy the natural beauty of Tateshina that spreads out outside the windows.
The chic exterior blends in with the beautiful highland nature, with stone walls and wooden beams, heavy furnishings, and a view of the forest beyond the large windows. A space filled with a sense of freedom and relaxation awaits you.
"The Japanese environment is first-class, the staff is attentive, and the dishes are mouth-watering. The whole environment is full of artistic atmosphere, and the blue dyeing style is also fun and forgetful. 😍😍"
"I stayed at this hotel for one night, and overall, it was quite a pleasant experience.
I really liked my room — it was clean, modern, and comfortable. The only thing that surprised me was that the window to the balcony didn’t open, though I suppose it was designed that way.
The onsen was absolutely wonderful — spacious, relaxing, and with a beautiful view of a mountain river. Definitely one of the highlights of my stay.
The hotel also offers many different areas for leisure and entertainment. You can play table tennis, relax in cozy rest zones, visit small cafés and shops — there’s a lot to explore without even leaving the building.
Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a wide variety of food to choose from. However, due to the number of guests, it was a bit challenging for the staff to manage everything smoothly. On two occasions, someone almost took my table, even though I had already placed the reservation card on it to show it was taken.
That said, the staff overall were very pleasant, friendly, and helpful, and I appreciated their attitude throughout my stay.
This hotel is clearly family-oriented, with many families staying with young children. There are rooms with child-friendly designs and dedicated play areas, so if you’re looking for a quiet, adult-only atmosphere, this might not be the best fit.
That said, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would consider coming back."
"The cabin was narrower than the picture, and the bathroom was outside, so grass bugs flew at night, which was uncomfortable for children to go around.
However, dinner and breakfast were buffet style, which was really healthy, and the taste was good, and the quantity was also foody.
It was in the mountains, so the cool wind and the sound of the water refreshed me in the evening."

Great
GGuest UserThere were bookshelves everywhere, both in the rooms and in the corridors, and books of all genres were freely available to read. I was able to enjoy a relaxing and soothing time while soaking in the hot springs and reading. This is an inn that I would like to stay at for longer and again.
All of the dishes were made with fresh ingredients that had a seasonal feel to them, and I was truly satisfied.
The large tatami room bath and the open-air bath both have soft hot springs that you can use as many times as you like. The ceiling of the bedrock bath was a starry sky, which made for a very soothing space.
IInqubeMy GF's review:
My stay in Meiji Onsen Ryokan was my first stay at a ryokan, and I’ve never felt more welcome at any other hospitality place I’ve been to before, of which there are many. And even after the first day, I am pretty sure it will probably stay this way forever.
I am very grateful for your kind welcome and I am amazed at the work that the team of your hotel does at this place. Everything feels natural and beautiful, and the atmosphere is so peaceful and special.
People who work here are passionate about their job, and as a passionate person myself I feel energized and happy to see others be so amused about what they do.
I will always remember my first stay here and I will compare other ryokans I go to with Meiji Onsen Ryokan, because I feel that it’s the best ryokan in Japan.
Thank you so much for this amazing experience.
And Okami-chan is the best girl in all of Nagano! When I come back home, I will tell everyone who she is and where she is from - Meiji Onsen Ryokan, Chino, Nagano, Japan! 🇯🇵
(As a fantastic bonus, it’s even allowed to go in with uncovered tattoos! Not every ryokan can match up to that!)
AAnonymous UserThe environment is very beautiful, breakfast facing the lake view, the store is friendly, only to climb the stairs to the room on the 2nd floor, it is suitable for light luggage.
DDuc Pham 1106The accommodation is cool, spacious, the door is not locked, there is a BBQ area in the garden, use the shared toilet outside the room, the location in the alley is a bit difficult to find and 100m from the parking lot outside
GGuest UserStayed in March 2024. I have stayed at this hotel many times. This was the first time I booked through Trip.com. The website said it was a one night, two meals plan, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was told it was a one night stay without meals. We argued over the counter, but no one could come to an agreement. I called Trip.com and explained the situation. They admitted that I had booked a one night, two meals plan, but the hotel had received the reservation information from the wholesaler, Rakuten Travel, so I decided to hang up and wait to confirm with Rakuten Travel. When I called back, Trip.com proposed that I pay the hotel for two meals at once, and then Trip.com would transfer the amount later. There was no guarantee that the money would be transferred, and if it wasn't transferred, it would be a loss for us, so it was not a very good idea, but dinner time had already started, so I accepted it. I paid for the meal at the front desk, ate, and sent the receipt to Trip.com from my room.
After I told them my transfer details, the amount was transferred the next day, so there was no expense for me, but I hope this never happens again.
GGuest UserThis time, I used it to see the Shirakaba Lake Fireworks Festival in August. I decided to make a reservation in July, but the price was a little high. The service is bad to say clearly. It is attached to the restaurant, but there is no basic person at the front desk and it is necessary to go to the restaurant. When you go to the restaurant, you cannot use the employee-only passage connected to the hotel, and you need to go out once and then enter the restaurant. There was black mold in the bathroom in the room. The light switch in the room is a little difficult to understand. However, the location is not bad. This time it was a corner room on the lake side, but I could see the fireworks well.
The restaurant meal was delicious. The meal with breakfast plan was quite volume.
