"This historic hot spring hotel has now become a popular choice for Chinese tour groups, so it's rare to find solo travelers like myself. Located on Bentenjima Island, it's also the hot spring hotel featured in the travelogue ”Yūyū Camping.” It's suitable for those planning to visit Lake Hamana the next morning; otherwise, the price is better spent staying in Hamamatsu city. The facilities are quite old and don't show signs of renovation. The open-air bath is closed, and ironically, the indoor bath is rather small, probably due to water conservation measures, with about a third of it sealed off with cement. Breakfast is average. Besides a convenience store, there's practically nothing else on Bentenjima Island, so be prepared beforehand."
