It was good to have a large communal bath and breakfast. Since it was a late time, the large communal bath was reserved by one person. It was a single room, but the bed was bigger and I could sleep comfortably than I thought.

Everything was actually really good, but this hotel was so old it couldn’t feel comfortable or clean despite best efforts. Location was great - 2 min walk from Hamamatsu Station. Staff was kind and let us check in just slightly before 3pm. Amenities were super for what you pay. Free evening curry, 1 draft beer and decent breakfast spread. Big letdown was the room - peeling wallpaper, stained carpets, no aircon (only heater), mold in bathroom crevices of vent. I think housekeeping is probably good and the room is fundamentally well-cleaned, but the old infrastructure just makes everything feel dingy. I feel bad as I feel the hotel is trying its best, but despite the amenities mentioned, I will never stay at this hotel again.
