Guests have access to a microwave, mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, and assorted glassware. The kitchenette is stocked with a wine opener, can opener, coffee cups, wine glasses, beer mugs, and silverware, so guests are able to prepare food and drinks. Piedmont Palace provides coffees, creamers, snacks, and drinks. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom with ample closet space, a ceiling fan, a tabletop fan, hangers, and a dresser. An ironing board and iron are available as well. Towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are available. There is a twin size bed, too! We also offer 2 BRAND NEW queen air Mattresses with built-in pumps. We offer extra bedding, as well. "I really only booked the room to have a place to sleep and shower for two nights, and the hotel got one of these right. The shower was a problem because, when the shower was turned on, water would gather on the ceiling and rain down. It was very unpleasant, so I skipped a shower on my second night, took a video of the problem, and shared my concern and the video with hotel staff when I checked out. Other than that, the room and common areas seemed to be mostly clean, although I cleaned things in the room that housekeeping clearly didn't get to (e.g., a sticky microwave knob). I also found the elevators intolerably hot. Yes, it was record heat outside, but I don't understand why the elevator cars weren't air conditioned like the rest of the hotel common areas. As for breakfast, it was okay for consumers of the standard American diet - I.e., high fat, high sugar - and, as a whole-food plant-based consumer, not terribly appealing. But, this is mid-America."

"Pretty uneventful stay. Nothing outstanding, but the room was huge and the gym was decent (tv didn't work though— or maybe the just the remote). Breakfast very typical of this type— not much to eat for those on healthier regimes. I had eggs— that's it. A tour bus had stayed there and the food was often cleaned out quickly. Timing was everything, but the staff did all they could. This is my second review of this hotel. There was a funky smell in the room when the freezing AC was turned down. Once I was in bed I figured it out. It was dog, wet dog cologne. Just as bad as a smoking room. In the morning, picking up my shoes, there was dog hair all intertwined in the carpet. Smell confirmed. Upon my first review, I got an email from BW stating their generic concern at my review without stating my specific, but please stay with them again. I stay in hotels right now about ⅓-½ the year and BW has been a staple. This doesn't change my option that the chain is a decent value, but its disappointing that they couldn't even respond more specifically, not that I expected a response, but please don't pretend they care."

GGuest UserWe had a great stay here. The front desk staff was friendly. We like the location of the hotel. My kids love their breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and waffles. The room was very spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay here. We will definitely come back.

GGuest UserLoved the lobby and festive decorations for game day. They even had a goodie bag which provided a sealed water bottle which could be brought into the stadium. The location was good. Room & bed comfortable. Bathroom was basic and could use updates, but worked fine. Now if only Columbia would do away with price gouging of families visiting college kids. Universal to the city, but still drives me nuts.
Breakfast buffet was plentiful. Personal issue of gluten intolerance left minimal options. Packaging was not available to see ingredients of potatoes or bacon. So i had prepackaged oatmeal and juice. Yogurt was available too.

MMCLUCKIEGreat central location, but very difficult to get to the motel from nearby roads. I went around the block quite a few times to find the entrance, each day! There is a deep pot hole spanning the entire width of the pavement to avoid every time.
Room was big and clean. Breakfast is typical mid-American junk fare— cold cereals, bagels, bisquits and gravy. Sometimes it’s cheaper to get book with breakfast and just skip it. There are restaurants nearby.
It’s a fine place, especially for the cost. Nothing embarrassing or foul here. Desk staff was friendly.

GGuest UserOverall it was a good place to stay with the amenities of the kitchen and two full size beds. But I chose a non smoking room. Which really didnt matter cause someone down the hall was smoking ****. which made the hole place smell horrible and was hard to stay in the room.

RRightRoundI was nervous at first, but man, these people were nice. It was well cleaned. Outdated, but clean. I had the K Ste and it was very spacious with plent of seating and a table for a small group of travelers. My favorite thing about this motel was the water pressure!! There’s nothing more important than water pressure! :) Best on-the-road shower I have ever had. So this place gets 5 stars from me because they maintain a safe and clean environment for travelers. What more are we really asking for!? ;)

GGuest UserMy car broke down, so I booked a king room for two nights. The hotel is right off I-70 and was prefect for where my car was being worked on, so the location was pretty good. There were a few restaurants and shops nearby, but it could be noisy at times. I was disappointed at the service as the first thing they asked for was $20 deposit and later I was accused of smoking in my room when I'm a non-smoker. The facilities were just ok, the cleanliness was passable and I was able to order food to the room. The desk offered clean towels/few amenities if needed. It's a good place if you're looking for a bed and toilet for the night, but for families looking for more I would not recommend.
