DDerek NormanThe stars of this hotel are the staff particularly the manager, Act, who could not be more helpful. She made everything about my stay easy and stress free. The hotel itself is just across the quiet island road from the beach. Here there is white sand and crystal clear water. To the left is the busier section with all the normal beach activities together with bars and restaurants. It is just a 15 min walk into town this way. To the right the beach is quieter. If you continue along the beach to the right you can follow the coast path which ‘hops’ from bay to bay making for a pleasant walk. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. You are supplied with everything you need including snacks, beach bag, wet bag, beach towel and beach mat. I had a wonderful stay at Green Bay and thoroughly recommend it.

GGuest UserTraveling to Thailand during the low season is honestly not worth it due to the constant rain. The cleanliness of the beach left much to be desired, and the hotel breakfast was quite poor. We often felt like we were bothering the staff rather than being welcomed. They weren’t attentive to whether guests needed anything or lacked something. We even visited a local clinic, and they wanted to charge us 2,200 THB just for calling a doctor and speaking over the phone. It also felt like the only thing that really mattered to the staff was the tip you might leave. All in all, we don’t think we’ll be coming back.

OOlgaGaBeautiful well-groomed area, beautiful beach, live music and fire show in the evening in the restaurant. Calm and relaxed atmosphere. There are a lot of fish near the shore. Although the rooms are not new, they are spacious and have plenty of storage space. The daughter is delighted with the canopy on the bed. I think we'll come back here again.

GGuest UserMy impressions of staying at the hotel are mixed – I wouldn't say it was bad, but it wasn't great either. The service is okay, the girls are very friendly and try their best. The cabin is small, a bit cramped for two people. There's only a mirror in the bathroom, and you can't dry your hair because there's an outlet in the room. When you shower, the entire floor gets wet. I solved the problem by buying a wipe and wiping it down afterward. The mattress is a whole other story – terribly squeaky; you can't turn over or get out of bed without the annoying squeak. And then there are the mosquitoes. I was bitten all over, from head to toe. Buy some mosquito spray right away, otherwise they'll eat you. The view from the terrace is certainly beautiful; you can lie right on the bed and look out at the sea and the pier. But you have to be very careful walking up to the cabin; there are huge boulders and steep steps below. There's no private beach; we went for a swim further along the shore, but sand flies bit us there. Would I go again? Maybe for one, two nights at most. Just lie down, listen to the sound of the surf, look at the sea... We stayed for six nights, which is a long time. Oh, and there are lots of dogs there. They're not aggressive, they beg for food, wag their tails, but you can hear them barking at night.

GGuest UserOur Favorite Island Escape! This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave. The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings. The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special. We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it.

However, we felt that the beach entertainment could use some improvement. While the idea of music on the beach is great, the selection and execution were somewhat lacking, making it a bit boring at times. As professionals in the entertainment industry, we believe there are ways to enhance the experience for guests, such as incorporating a more diverse music selection or live performances. LLime KapVery nice small hotel. For those who are looking for a quiet but comfortable corner of the island, this is a good choice. It is located 1.5 km from the center, but it is a long way to walk along the hilly area, there is a tuk-tuk, but it is not cheap, 200 baht one way (the whole), like a taxi. The beach is clean, nice, the sand is light, but not white, like on the central eastern beaches. The sea is clean. The hotel has loungers with umbrellas by the beach, beach towels. The bungalows have a refrigerator and a kettle, cleaning is daily, they put water. The view is beautiful on the sea and sunrise. There is no tea on the island at all, so take tea bags with you))) In this northern corner, there are also cafes, restaurants at the hotels nearby, we rented a bike and rode around the entire island and to the most rated beaches (very beautiful). The staff is friendly. Breakfast is delicious and filling. The restaurant is inexpensive with basic Thai cuisine plus spaghetti and sandwiches. It's nice to stop for a couple of days.
