Very good hotel, worth writing a long review 🩵Service: The hotel has self-check-in. After booking, you will be sent an email to fill in some contact information. I gave my previous mobile phone number in the UK so that we can contact each other through WhatsApp without any problems. We landed in Berlin at 6:30 in the morning and arrived at the hotel at around 8:00. The hotel did not have a front desk, but the coffee shop of the same name downstairs also served as a front desk in a sense and could store luggage. Before arriving, the staff will ask about the arrival time and then give the password to enter the hotel (all are electronic locks that require password input). I originally wanted to store my luggage so early, but the room had already been cleaned up and the staff activated the password, so we picked it up and checked in. The staff is really nice, praise 👍 💜Environment: The hotel is located in the Charlottenburg residential area. I stayed in Berlin for five days and four nights and traveled around the east and west. In the end, I concluded that it is most comfortable to live in this area. It's quiet here, with less traffic and tourists, and good public security (this is very important). Transportation and life are very convenient. There are two large stations nearby (subway, light rail and train), all within a 15-minute walk. It only takes about ten minutes to reach Potsdam Square in the city center, which is very convenient. There are many small restaurants nearby, including Vietnamese restaurants, Chinese restaurants and Chinese supermarkets, all within a ten-minute walk. Two streets away there is a place similar to the center of this area, with large shopping malls, supermarkets and many drugstores. 🩷Room facilities: The one-bedroom and one-living room apartment is very spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling windows with large tree views are very pleasant. The living room has a sofa, floor lamp, dining table, TV cabinet, TV, and B&O Bluetooth speaker. The kitchenette and washing machine are stored in the closet, and are equipped with a full set of tableware, kitchenware and a coffee machine. The washing machine is a washer-dryer, but it does not come with laundry detergent. It is recommended to bring some laundry balls with you, so we went to a nearby supermarket and bought some. The bathroom was clean and comfortable with both a shower and a bathtub. I think the bed in the room is about 1.6 meters long, which is quite spacious in Europe, and it is not crowded at all for two people to sleep on it. All in all, it was a very, very good living experience. I felt like I was home every day after playing outside. It added a lot of beauty to this trip to Berlin. I don’t even want to go to the next city. 🥺 Next time I come to Berlin, I will choose Carlotta first. 👍 This money is well spent.

Had a very reasonable experience. Reception friendly. Got assigned a quiet room that I asked for. Slept good. Foldable bed is not really my thing, but kitchenette was good. Asked for an extra pillow to make myself comfortable. Room in general not very super comfortable. Chair hard, matrass hard and sofa not relaxing. Location not great, quite a walk to the S bahn. Left a day earlier than I originally booked for because of poor weather. Would stay somewhere more convenient next time in Berlin. If your business is in Kurfurstendam, then hotel is excellent.

Check-in and check-out is on your own, you even have to program the card yourself and there is never anyone behind the counter. Rooms are very nice, with a balcony, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows/cushions and a television with many channels (tho programs are in German or at least dubbed in it). They even give you nice bedroom slippers, a kettle and tea and coffee and there are plenty of sockets to charge your devices in the room. There is a safe, microwave, and small stove to do your cooking with plates, bowls, and cutlery provided. We can even use the laundry facilities (both washing machine and dryer) in the basement and help ourselves to extra towels and tissue boxes if we need to. Location is very near the Alexanderplatz train station (around 5-6 mins walk). Supermarket is also located about 5 mins aways from here, which is huge just bear in mind its closed on Sundays.

I recently stayed at this hotel , and I have to say my experience was a real mix of good and bad. I'll break it down clearly so other travelers know what to expect. Check-in experience I arrived at the hotel AT 21 PM, which was supposed to be the standard check-in time. To my surprise, there was absolutely nobody at the reception desk. I stood there waiting, thinking someone would appear in a minute.. After a while staff member finally came out from a back office. They looked a bit stressed or overwhelmed. The check-in process itself was rushed and cold. Coffee in the room – horrible Another big downside was the in-room coffee. The hotel provides instant powdered coffee – the cheap, soluble type that comes in a small sachet. I made a cup hoping for a decent morning coffee, but it was truly horrible. The taste was artificial, bitter, and had absolutely no real coffee flavour. It honestly tasted like chemicals. In my opinion, a hotel charging these rates should definitely offer capsule coffee (like Nespresso or a compatible system). Powdered coffee is outdated, low-quality, and leaves a terrible impression on guests who appreciate a good cup of coffee to start the day. This is a small detail that makes a big difference. I ended up going out to a nearby café to buy real coffee. THE POSITIVE POINTS Cleanliness – excellent On the positive side, I have to say that the cleanliness of the room was impeccable. The bed sheets were crisp, white, and spotless. The bathroom was perfectly clean – no hair, no dust, no stains. The floors were well swept and mopped. It's clear that the housekeeping staff takes their job seriously and does an excellent job. I felt very comfortable in terms of hygiene and tidiness. The room itself – fine The room was fine. It wasn't luxurious or particularly stylish, but it was perfectly acceptable for a short stay. The bed was comfortable enough, the TV worked well, the Wi-Fi connection was stable, and the air conditioning functioned properly. There was enough space to move around and store my luggage. So for a basic, no-frills stay, the room met expectations.

The location is extremely good as it is just right next to the Karlshorst station. There's a coffee shop and a supermarket on the ground floor. There are also washing and drying machines in the basement. I stayed there for 5 nights. The first day was not feeling good. The water from the shower was cold, and the hair dryer was so dirty. As the reception only operates in quite limited hours daily, even though there's a pretty good whatsapp AI communication channel to answer general questions, the above problems couldn't be solved until the next day. Besides, there's a bit of bad smell each time entering the room, but it's toreable. Overall, considering the price and the location, this hotel is a competitive option for business or travel trips.

I I had an unforgettable hotel experience. When I arrived, I tried to push the door open, but it was locked. There was no doorbell. Just as I was fretting over what to do, three groups of guests who had booked the same hotel tried to enter, but none of them could get in. Then one of the guests noticed a digital keypad and typed in the code from her email, but none of them could get in. Each of our groups tried their codes, but none of them could get in. As we were still fretting, the door suddenly opened, and a guest came out, allowing us all to enter. That guest explained that the hotel had emailed us a ten-digit start code and a four-digit comfort code. You had to enter the start code first, then the comfort code, to open the door. The other guests had both the start code and the comfort code, but my email only contained the comfort code. The kind guest checked my email and confirmed that it contained only the comfort code. He then called the hotel, and they said our reservation had been cancelled because we hadn't paid the city tax. However, I clearly saw on the check-in voucher that the €29.90 check-in fee was payable upon arrival. The staff member on the phone later said they would email us the payment and, after payment, gave us a new start code and comfort code. After payment, we finally got a room. However, upon checking in, I discovered it wasn't the Standard Studio with Balcony we'd booked, but a Standard Studio. I didn't want to call them again to complain about the mistake; I just wanted a comfortable room. The hotel's location is convenient, about a 5-minute walk from S train station, and the room was generally acceptable.

**Location: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟** Absolutely STUNNING views! Perfect spot for your Insta stories! The surroundings are so breathtaking you'll forget everything else... which might be exactly what they're hoping for! 😉 **Cleanliness: 🌟** Room roulette! My first room came with a shower straight from a horror movie - just two settings: ”boiling hot” or ”STRAIGHT FROM HELL'S KITCHEN!” 🔥🔥🔥 Had to switch to Room 2 where I was greeted by a previous guest's cigarette butt (free souvenir?) and some tiny roommates having their own little party (pest infestation included at no extra charge!). #RoommateSurprise **Service: 🌟🌟** ”Complimentary late checkout” = being locked out for 30 minutes contemplating life choices in the hallway! 🚪 WhatsApp ”customer care” moves slower than my grandma's internet! Had to explain basic faucet operation like I was teaching rocket science, and when locked out, had to share ALL my personal info AGAIN. Privacy who?? #WaitingGameChampion

Aparthotel Vega

I stayed at Aparthotel Vega Berlin during my trip to Berlin. At first, the building was a bit confusing to find, as it looks like it might be closed from the outside. However, there is a clear sign indicating the hotel, so you are in the right place. It is about a 15-minute walk from the nearest train station, which is manageable but not the most convenient if you have heavy luggage. One thing to note is that access to the building requires a passcode, which was not provided in advance. I had to call the reception to get the code, which could be inconvenient, especially for late arrivals. The staircase inside the building is also quite narrow, so carrying large suitcases may be a bit challenging. That said, the room itself was comfortable and well-equipped for the price. It had everything needed for a short stay, making it a practical and budget-friendly option. Overall, despite a few inconveniences with access and the building layout, I had a decent stay. If I visit Berlin again, I would consider staying here again.
