"The room is very clean. The hotel is in a good location, just next to the AMSTEL station, a 5-minute walk away. Many students live here and the atmosphere is relaxed. The breakfast and snacks are good. A very cost-effective choice."

"Check-in after 3pm and check-out before 10am the next day. There is no elevator in the hotel and you need to go to the upper floor through the traditional curved stairs. One direction is close to the unique restaurant and the other is close to Rembrandt (Party) Square. If you live here, plan to walk to the attractions, and a walk along the canal is a beautiful experience."

"The rooms are very beautiful and design, the scenery is beautiful next to the canal, the front desk staff is particularly warm and polite, the restaurant downstairs is very Amsterdam style, a large number of handsome men and women drinking and drinking coffee in the restaurant. Not good for parking, the room is small, maybe Amsterdam is so expensive"

"Location, location, location! Staying at the Linden comes with the friendliest and cutest warning that the hotel is tiny… but it makes up in more ways than just its perfect location in the middle of Amsterdam’s old Jordaan. There’s no breakfast facility but they offer discount at the cafe right next door. However they managed to squeeze in public space area where people can sit, wait and do some digital nomad-ing, with free supply of coffees, access to sweet jars and board games for a rainy day. If you’re in time you can also catch some of the fresh pastry they offer at random times of the day. The hotel staff were so kind and most helpful. As for the room: remember the heart of Amsterdam is famous for its narrow houses and steep staircases. The fact they turned this old corner house into a hotel is a miracle in itself, so just brace yourself and enjoy the smallness of it all. There’s a kettle in the room and sealed empty bottles of water which is meant for you to fill up with tap water as that’s indeed safe to drink in Amsterdam. The only downside of our standard room (18) is the weird layout of the bathroom which needed not to be awkward. Just as well we are not built big or our legs wouldn’t have fitted sitting on the toilet facing the glass shower enclosure. On the way out, we were given a ‘Thank You’ goodie bag. Lots of brownie points for this hotel!"

"The location is good, but the conditions are average. The room I stayed in was on the first floor, and the corridor had a peculiar smell. It was fine when I first entered the room, but the sewer smelled bad the next day... Hotels in Amsterdam are really too expensive. Don't go to the momo Chinese restaurant next door, the Japanese food there is totally unacceptable... It's more of an atmosphere for drinking, don't go there just to eat Japanese food. 90 euros per person for frozen sashimi"

"The hotel is very well located, short walk distance to Leidseplein tram. The area is beautiful; walking around the streets surrounding the hotel is very enjoyable. Close to the hotel there is a pizzeria and a sandwhich spot that are amazing. Also, there is a supermarket accros the corner. The room itself is pretty basic; if you are just using it to sleep I think it is sufficient. The room was very small though, for some people this could be an issue."

"It is value for money, the rate is lower than those hotels nearby central station. Can take bus or tram to central station with few stops only. Not many restaurants and supermarkets nearby and usually went out to central station for meal arrangements. The breakfast is great with various types of food. The hotel facilities were great and new. Nice design in wooden style and high ceiling. Appreciate with the balcony view. Friendly remind to place DND when taking shower as open washroom set up"

"It is close to the tram and the subway station, there is a big ah next to it, just five minutes away from the net red brunch shop. The location is really good, you can see a great view on the rooftop. The hotel is also very serviced and has a high-end youth hostel and hotel apartment configuration. The bed is very big and can sleep for the next three girls. Really love the roof, whether it is sunrise or sunset is a good place to take pictures. Very clean, there is an oven coffee machine, induction cooker pots and pans, too love this minimalist style, recommended to travellers to Amsterdam"

GGuest Userbest hotel during my whole trip! room is clean and big. laundry room is self-service, just buy token at reception. detergent would be added automatically, no need to bring your own. bring seasoning and cooking oil if u plan to cook. they would give u washing liquid, sponge and towel at reception. right next to the metro and train station. some convenience store nearby.

TTravel TrixieFirstly the hotel is located directly in front of a tram which was very convenient for moving around locally in town, the rooms are well maintained and very nice. The breakfast buffet was amazing, would recommend adding it to your reservation as food in Amsterdam is quite expensive. We were checked in by Youssef, who was so nice, helpful and accommodating to my friends and I. Overall a wonderful experience and great customer service

GGuest UserThe room we stayed in was very compact, which we knew would be the case, but it was probably smaller than we expected. Staff were great and as helpful as they could be, though when we asked for an iron it took 2 days for them to track it down from another guest for us to use it (though by then we didn’t need it!). The location is not bad - we’d never stayed in Noord before so was good to see it, but if this is your first time in Amsterdam or you are not looking to do many things in Noord, don’t stay here. Good for one or maybe two nights if you’re away on business, for example, and you will not spend much time in your room, but again, only really convenient for Noord.

GGuest UserStaying at ClinkNOORD Hostel in Amsterdam was such a fun and memorable experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the friendly and upbeat staff, who were always ready with a smile and great recommendations for exploring the city. The location, tucked away in the trendy Noord district, gave me a chance to experience a quieter, more local side of Amsterdam while still being just a quick (and free!) ferry ride from the bustling city center. What I loved most about ClinkNOORD was the vibe—it’s lively and social without feeling overwhelming. The common areas, like ZincBAR and the library, were perfect for meeting fellow travelers or just relaxing after a day of exploring. One evening, I joined a live music event at the bar, and it turned into one of the highlights of my trip. The hostel also organizes activities like walking tours and cocktail workshops, which made it easy to connect with others. The dorms were clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like privacy panels and USB ports by each bed—small details that made a big difference. I also appreciated how secure everything felt, with lockers for my belongings and keycard access throughout. If I had to nitpick, breakfast was decent but not amazing—I ended up grabbing food from local spots instead. But honestly, with so many great cafés nearby, it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, ClinkNOORD felt like more than just a place to sleep—it was an experience in itself. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, it’s the kind of place where you feel at home while still soaking up Amsterdam’s unique energy. I’d definitely stay here again!

GGuest Userthe floors were disgusting. sticky and oily. i saw the cleaning lady only vacuum randomly and didn't mop the floor or anything. the staircase was narrow and really high. it was unsafe since they only had railing on one side and nothing on the other. i was assigned a room in 4th floor, i had a really hard time carrying my suitcase up and down. the toilet was quite clean, or at least it looked clean since the tiles were all black.

AAnonymous UserThe room was nice and spacious. The cleaning staff only changed the bed sheets and took out the trash, not our towels. The window in my room couldn't be closed tightly so the wind blew quite cold in the evening. The room didn't have a hair dryer as stated, I asked for a hair dryer at the reception but was told there were no available dryers at the moment. This was a bit disappointing.

GGuest UserLocation: it's a great location because it's only a less than 10 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central station. It's so convenient. But the hostel entrance/reception is located inside a pub/restaurant. Personally I have no problem with this. I just find this interesting. There was also a security-looking guy standing at the entrance at night every day too, so it was pretty safe. Cleanliness: it was very clean. Every day someone took out the trash and cleaned the bathroom for us, which I didn't expect. They gave us a new, clean towel every day too. I really like these things about the hostel. Service: It depends on who you meet. The ladies that I talked to were all friendly and helpful. But there was a guy that was rather unhelpful and rude. I asked, ”Do you have data sim cards?” He said, ”No, we don't provide for that.” (Of course I knew the hostel didn't provide sim cards for free; I was asking if the hostel *sells* sim cards.) I asked, ”Do you know where I can get one? I can't get on the internet with the hostel wifi.” He said, ”There's no problem with the hostel wifi, otherwise a lot of people would be complaining about it.” (I wasn't complaining about the hostel wifi wasn't working; I was asking if he knew where I could get a sim card since I couldn't get on the internet to look for them.) Facilities: I like that there was a curtain on each bed. The bed and the room were also spacious enough. The windows were almost soundproof, isolating all the noises from the people drinking downstairs. The bathroom was also very clean. The only thing I didn't like was that there were brown stains on the blanket, which looked disgusting. There was also space for luggages (it's on the 2nd floor) if you don't want to store them in your room. There was, however, no kitchen or common areas. But the room was big enough and had a table. It was ok for me. One thing I really didn't like were the people who stayed in my room. All of them were obnoxious: wouldn't clean up after using the bathroom (hair everywhere), leaving their stuff in the bathroom/on the table so others couldn't use the space/table, kept coughing all night (meaning they were sick) and wouldn't open the windows for ventilation. I hardly had a good night's sleep because they kept coughing at night. But this wasn't the hostel's fault. It's those people's problems. All in all, I recommend staying at this hotel.

LLauraVReview of Our Stay at a Hotel in Amsterdam We recently stayed at a hotel in Amsterdam and had a mix of positive and negative experiences. First, let's start with the positives: What We Liked: The premises were quite nice. There's a bar downstairs, which is a great spot to unwind. Additionally, there are a few supermarkets and a traditional Dutch bakery right across the street, which made grabbing snacks and breakfast super convenient. The location is fantastic—just an 8-minute walk to the train station and a 4-minute walk to the bus and tram stops, making it easy to get around the city. The room was just as shown in the pictures. The mattress was comfortable, and there was ample space to organize our belongings during our stay. The receptionists were really kind and welcoming, which made our check-in and stay more pleasant. We also enjoyed the style of the hotel, especially the lovely lobby with two pianos, a comfortable sofa, and some books and local information to relax and read. What We Didn't Like: While we had read other reviews about noise issues and poor sound isolation, we thought we'd be okay with it, considering our home is located in a town center near nightclubs. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. The noise wasn't from people talking but from doors slamming. From 11 pm until 3 am, there was a constant door slamming that made the floor and walls in our room vibrate every two to three minutes. It felt like we were next to a staff room or had a very active neighbor. To be able to sleep, we had to watch a movie until the slamming finally stopped. This constant noise didn't allow us to rest properly, and we woke up later than we wanted the next day. The slamming continued on the following day, so we decided to stay out as late as possible to avoid it. Fortunately, around 2 am, the noise decreased, and we managed to sleep. Additionally, there was a funny smell in the corridors and the toilet. I found it unpleasant, but my husband wasn't bothered by it. If you are sensitive to smells, this might be something to consider. However, if you're not particularly sensitive, like my husband, it might not be an issue. Conclusion: Overall, while the hotel's location, amenities, and staff were great, the noise from door slamming and the smell in the corridors were significant drawbacks for us. If these issues could be addressed, it would make for a much more pleasant stay.

LloreleikvltWe had been really concerned after pre paying this hotel then reading bad reviews that had us convinced we would need to wear plastic suits the entire visit,, so I thought I'd give my review based around the concerns we had read, to try and be helpful ! some of the things were true , the sheets did come off the bed on mine but I wiggle but my friends both stayed on their beds. super annoying but I just slid it back on and you can always throw your cover over it instead and ask for another . Fortunately we didn't come across the bed bugs people mentioned !, the cat seemed happy and not flea ridden.. however the room was clean enough , no obvious mould. The beds were comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean and quite nice It wasn't huge but had ample.space for our things in the triple person room . It's an old building with narrow windy stairs I'm glad the elevator worked. it's not a relax and sit in all day hotel..it's a place to sleep , shower ...charge your phone and keep your belongings. The coffee machine was fine as far as basic goes. The staff were fine There was a fifty euro deposit on the desk, we just asked for a receipt after other things mentioned in reviews and were given a written one with no problem on leaving . We were offered one free housekeeping day as we stayed 4 nights but opted not to use it due to theft mentioned in reviews.. We stayed at the main hotel so I don't know if all the bad reviews were from the other or we just got lucky with our room but we had no problems, and when I went rustling down before hours looking for coffee the guy did help me before reception opened. It's no paradise of a place , there are marks on the walls but faint...if you're fussy it's not the place for you but for the price and location, we really didn't mind it . It's a super great location as a base with a trendy area behind it And a really cool vegan restaurant a tiny walk away a pub downstairs and metro train a stone's throw away If you have the option to pay on arrival ask to see.your room first.you could take that route Just to be safe, but all up it was fine..3 women travelling together there was no unsafe feeling there . We didn't find it noisy.
