Ho Chi Minh City’s first metro makes it easier to travel between the city center and eastern areas without sitting in heavy road traffic. Overview of Ho Chi Minh City Metro System

A Flawless Stay at Eastin Grand Hotel Saigon From the moment my taxi pulled up to the sleek entrance of the Eastin Grand Hotel Saigon, I knew I was in for an exceptional stay. As a traveler who values both efficiency and comfort, this hotel completely blew me away by striking the perfect balance between upscale luxury and unmatched convenience. The Ultimate Location Location is everything in Ho Chi Minh City, and Eastin Grand nails it. Airport Proximity: Situated just a brief 10-minute drive from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, it completely eliminates the stress of missing a flight or battling heavy traffic after a long journey. City Access: It serves as a strategic launchpad. Whether I needed to zip into District 1 for sightseeing or head to the bustling commercial districts for meetings, the transit was effortless. Premium Comfort & World-Class Hospitality The indoor experience is just as seamless. My room was a haven of contemporary sophistication—spacious, impeccably clean, and fitted with plush bedding that offered a restful escape from the energetic city outside. Standout Feature: The executive lounge access is a must-try. Sipping a perfectly crafted cocktail while looking over the city skyline was a daily highlight. The staff deserves a special mention; their warm hospitality and intuitive service made me feel genuinely cared for, rather than just another room number. With its top-tier amenities, exquisite dining options, and frictionless logistics, Eastin Grand Hotel Saigon didn’t just host me—it elevated my entire Ho Chi Minh City experience. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The location is good, the room is very clean. The service is good too. I am happy with all of this. What made me unhappy and inconvenient, the reasons I gave two stars for amenties are as follows: 1) toilet - clean yes, but the water pump is top strong and inconvenient to press, feel like I am pressing a broken handle water pump. 2) trash bin - in the toilet, it is difficult to push down the cover, too strong, so always ended up touching my hand with the cover where most of the trashed from the toilet were in contact with while pushing down. In the room, the cover, always need to use hands to remove the cover. 3) Electricity plug sockets - should have at least two free, one each by each bed. But what we had to use is the one for TV plug, the one for night light bulb (between the bed). Only one free socket by the mirror in the bedroom. So very inconvenience for two persons to charge our phones or laptops.

Honestly, this place is beautiful, clean space, fantastic amenities, everything you could need at a gym, including sauna and steam rooms. The pool is basically on the roof with the spa's, beautiful view of the city when the weather is right. The room was spacious and used well with a table to sit at, reading chair, bed, TV, room service. The bathroom was a nice size, my room had a bath/shower combined it was lovely but very high just in case that's something you need to worry about (: the service was wonderful. I don't really have anything to fault about this place, but I wish I could have stayed longer :) Book it, you won't regret it 🥰 Breakfast was amazing, so many options and fresh new items each day🖤

I saw some reviews saying the service was bad and that they discriminated against Chinese guests, but my actual experience was very good; the service was professional and enthusiastic. Everything else was standard, quite good, but I can't give it a 5-star rating. There's a Michelin restaurant called Man Moi near the hotel with a great ambiance and good food. For around 200 (currency not specified, assuming local currency), you can have a decent meal. There's also a good Japanese restaurant nearby (though I don't recommend the tempura; it's too greasy). Compared to what I saw online, the hotel's design isn't particularly outstanding; it's quite conventional. If you're not on a tight budget, you won't be disappointed. The photos are from Man Moi restaurant, which has a great vibe. It's best to make a reservation as walk-ins might not get a table.

Hello, I was the guest in room 206, checking in on June 30th. After resting for a bit, I went out around 3 PM. When I left, my suitcase was open, and inside were clothes and a GoPro camera, which was attached to a neck strap mount and not easy to remove. When I returned in the evening, I noticed the room had been tidied. The next morning, I checked out and left my luggage at the hotel. Around 6 PM that afternoon, I returned to pick up my luggage to go to the airport. During that time, I opened my suitcase once at the luggage storage area to put something in. I didn't use the GoPro at all during my two days and one night in Ho Chi Minh City, so I didn't pay close attention to it. Afterward, I flew directly to Hanoi, and at the hotel there, I discovered my GoPro was missing from my suitcase, with only the neck strap mount remaining. I contacted you to help me look for the camera, but you said it hadn't been seen. After returning home, I carefully replayed all the events in my mind, and it's only possible that it went missing at your hotel. I hope that after seeing this review, you can help me check the surveillance footage again and contact me.

Pros: amazingly delicious buffet breakfast from western to asian cuisines. Delicious food and always fresh seasonal fruits. Menu changes daily. Their Triple Roomnis quiet spacious with bonggavillas on window sills. Room is cleaned and linens changed on a daily basis. Bar at the rooftop with jacuzzis and spa pool which added to the zen vibes. Lobby is dimly lighted but just enough to light the way which I think uphholds to its ZEN vibes. The location is superb. Next to it are spas for hair, nails, massage and 3 mins walk right through ben thanh market, saigon square, saigon center. 10 mins walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. Easy to catch Grab. Staff are all very friendly, helpful and communicates in English well. Cons: they don't have a swimming pool as what is advertised on its amenities. It's more like a spa pool where clients can sit, dip and maybe drink some coctails while watching the night lights and relaxing with the zen environment. However, the spa pool is perfect for my 8 yo nephew. He can play, swim on the pool without us worrying that the water might be deep for him. Bath tub is high so its not good for a short elderly client who got issues with mobility. My 78 yo mom got a hard time climbing in and out of the tub as its also slippery. We finally managed by letting her sit on th edge of the tub first before putting her foot in/out of the tub and putting towel on the floor of the tub while she's showering.

1. 16sq. mtr room is marketed and sold as a 20sq.mtr room. Its basically a glorified/polished container box. There is no space even to unpack/open your luggage. This is outright fraud and cheating. 2. Air conditioning is very poor. Despite such a small room size, it takes nearly an hour for the room to reach the set temperature even if you open the door even once. The staff too has confirmed the same that it takes 30min to 1hour to reach the desired cooling after closing the room doors. 3. Air conditioning break downs frequently. We had booked 17 rooms for our a group of 34 people. 3 to 4 had broken AC. One of them shifted in the middle of the night to a new room. On complaining the first time, the engineer came and fixed the filter. However the staff blamed us for keeping the door open. On complaining again, I was assured that the staff if coming only to realize that they were lying. Had to go physically to the reception and get the room changed. They were hoping that I would sleep with the broken AC instead of taking the pain to come down to the reception. On top of that the windows don't open. You don't have any ventilation as well. 3. The doors and walls are very thin. You can hear every door closing and even the slightest noise/conversation from nearby rooms. 4. The staff is very cold and unhelpful. Despite acknowledging the known problem about the AC they try to blame the guest for keeping the doors open. How is the guest supposed to breathe with no AC and no ventilation? If you are frustrated and get angry at the staff, they threaten you to throw you out of the hotel in the middle of the night by calling the police. 5. The windows are completely transparent. The nearby bldg people can peep in to your rooms anytime and hence the curtains need to be kept drawn all the time. 6. I am vegetarian so didn't find much options in breakfast. There were some fruits but they would get finished fast and then not refilled even during valid breakfast hours. When I checked reviews of this hotel after facing the above problems, multiple guests have reported the same issues.

This was our first time visiting Vietnam, and our family had a wonderful stay. We were very satisfied with the hotel's convenient location and excellent facilities. We especially enjoyed the daily afternoon tea, the swimming pool, the complimentary drinks in the Executive Lounge, and the chocolates delivered to our room every evening. These thoughtful touches made our stay extra special. The only minor area for improvement would be the sound insulation of the balcony door, as there were small gaps that allowed some outside noise into the room. The sink in my room was clogged. I reported it to the front desk, and they said they would fix it right away.

The Rex ist located in the heart of HCMC, right across the old Townhall. But don't expect a fully modern hotel, the Rex has kept the charm of the last century. Breakfast was awesome with a lot of choices, served on the 5th floor with a great view on the city. The pools were rather moderate but worth a visit.,

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Independence Palace and Ho Chi Minh Central Post Office, both about a 5-minute walk away. There are good restaurant options nearby, and if you want to take a city tour bus, you can catch it right in front of the post office. The hotel ambiance is great, with a vintage yet modern decor. The hotel's cleanliness is also commendable. For breakfast, they offer both Vietnamese local specialties and Western options. All hotel staff can speak English. If you'd like to see the traditional Vietnamese water puppet show, you can turn right out of the hotel and walk straight for about 10 minutes to the Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theater.

The location isn't very central; it's a bit of a distance from most attractions, so you'll need to take a taxi everywhere. It's not far from the main road but it's surprisingly quiet. My only complaint is that I chose this hotel because the room photos showed a green window view, but my room definitely didn't have one. This is a hotel of contradictions. The facade is impressive. It's centrally located in District 1 near restaurants, shops and the Western quarter. The buffet breakfast selection is pleasing. The room size is generous. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's a forward thinking eco-friendly policy which clearly implemented throughout the hotel. However, the hotel is let down by some of its facilities. For example, in the bathroom a spa has been placed under a shower head so that when you shower the water runs down the wall and floods across the bathroom floor from one side to the other and in front of the hand basin. The hot and cold water taps turn on in opposite directions and the cold tap is not fitted properly which causes it to move. My children were unable to turn the shower on or off without adult help. The shower head is also too low and my 6 foot husband had to crouch down to shower. Another problem area is the rooftop pool area. The clear rooptop pool perimeter fence is woefully too low. I watched a child climb out of the pool to the ledge between the pool and the perimeter fence and I was very worried for his safety. One wrong slip or stumble and there's nothing stopping the child from toppling over the edge and 11 floors down. This hotel has a lot going for it but also has further room for improvement.

This place is hard to find even to some locals, and its especially hard for foreigners to come by for the first time. It's a newly building with security at the lobby, and there are shops and restaurants near by which is convenient. However; there is hardly a management of this property, we booked for 4days 3 nights and there were only 4 bottles in total and we had no respond when we required for more water bottles.(good thing is shops are close by.) Secondly, we also had no respond when we requied of house cleaning, we found and killed Cockroaches everyday. Last but not least, the third night of stay hot water running out, I had to take a cold shower. I don't mind taking cold showers in Vietnam's current weather, its just i didnt have an option of hot water makes this stay less worthy. There are also some pros of this property, the views are good, you get to see the landmark 81 building right outside the window, and some parts of river view. Besides the views, they use good quality bedding appliances (mattresses are great) and electrical appliances(dryer in your closet, you get to hang your wet clothes, sanitize and dry them). Overall, I would come back and live here if the management can starting to catch up.

This hotel is perfect for just lying around, relaxing, and doing absolutely nothing. We stayed in the Aqua Villa. The room was excellent – clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The private in-room pool had rather warm, even hot, mineral water. The downside was that over the week, the pool was only cleaned once, on the first day. A lot of leaves and flowers fall into the pool. Breakfasts were excellent. On weekdays, the hotel was almost empty. It only got busier on weekends. The grounds are very large and beautiful. Mineral pools, mud baths, etc., all cost extra! The only free amenities are the general pools (several of them) and the forest for walks. There's only one restaurant. There are no shops or anything else. You can't rent a motorbike anywhere. Grab, Maxim, and similar services don't operate here. You can only get to Binh Chau by taxi – 300,000 VND round trip. There's absolutely nothing to do in Binh Chau. And everyone stares at Russians like they're some exotic creature. Everyone wants to come up and say 'Hallow'. Conclusion: If you just want to relax in peace and quiet, do nothing, simply unwind and benefit from the mineral pools and mud baths, this is an excellent option! If you're looking for hustle and bustle with lots of restaurants, shops, and tourists – this is definitely not the place for you! It's an excellent option to just relax here for a week, and then head to Mui Ne (a 2-hour taxi ride).

One of the bedrooms in a two-bedroom apartment with double beds is fairly small. The sound distance is poor at night since we could hear the TV's light sound, which is inconvenient, and the water drainage is also pretty slow. Even yet, at this cost, a 1-night stay for a group of 3–4 people is still reasonable and commendable as it's well equipped with culinary equipment, a fridge, washing machine and balcony for drying the clothes. It’s also close to District 1, while offering a slightly quieter environment, which we appreciated. There are plenty of nearby conveniences, including 7-Eleven, Charles & Keith, and various food options. However, the cleanliness could be improved. We requested housekeeping on our second day, but only basic tasks like making the bed and emptying the bin were done. The room itself was not thoroughly cleaned—trash on the table was left untouched, the bathroom still had used packaging from the hotel toiletries, and there was noticeable dust in less visible areas such as behind and under the bed. Reliving old Nanyang dreams, I returned to Saigon, Vietnam. I originally came for the Park Hyatt but was deeply captivated by Mia Saigon. It was evening when I landed, and my night in Ho Chi Minh City began with a glass of prosecco. I chose the local brand Mia Saigon for my first hotel. Standing on the bar's terrace, watching the Saigon River break the city lights into a myriad of stars, I suddenly recalled the fifteen-year-old girl from Duras's novel – ”I've known you, and I'll remember you forever.” Mia Saigon is like a modern woman in an ao dai, bringing French elegance and Vietnamese warmth together under the same louvered window. I woke up to the scent of frangipani in the morning, with dew still clinging to the rattan lounge chairs by the pool. The staff here remember if you ordered a drip coffee or an iced latte yesterday, yet they are never overly attentive, much like the restrained gaze from under the man's felt hat in ”The Lover” – ”I love your ravaged face, more than your face when you were young.”

We stayed for six nights. Pros: - Excellent location in a tourist area, close to all amenities and shops. - Polite service with excellent English. - Daily towel changes, room cleaning, water, and toiletries. - Great cafe right outside on the ground floor. - Good breakfast from 7 to 10 AM, but the later you go, the less selection there is. - Air conditioning works perfectly. - Real plants with drip irrigation – very nice. - At first glance, a cozy room with a balcony. Cons: - Due to the plants on the balcony, tiny bugs constantly crawl around the room, bed, and bathroom. They are harmless, like specks of sand, but caused a slight discomfort. - The bathroom wasn't the cleanest due to humidity and old renovations. It was always cleaned, but it looked old and musty. - Not all drinks were refilled daily, contrary to what some reviews mentioned. Initially, there was beer, Pepsi, tea, and water. - Poor soundproofing; noises from the corridor and the neighboring room were audible. - And most importantly – street noise. A closed balcony didn't help; there was noise on the street until midnight and starting at 9 AM. Sports broadcasts, hawkers, construction from neighboring buildings – everything was audible, as if you were right on the street. Since our balcony faced the street, we experienced this; perhaps there are other room options with windows facing inwards. Overall, the hotel isn't bad for its price and genuinely tries to be good, but the longer we stayed, the more downsides we noticed. We wish them continued improvement!

Hang Xanh Ho Chi Minh City|1.82km from city center
The staff were very friendly and welcomed us very warmly. They were also able to answer all our queries, such as giving us a list of restaurants around the area. The hotel was located in a quiet area that is also near a lot of food and shopping options. Highly recommended!

Le Thanh Ton Ho Chi Minh City|0.85km from city center
The hotel is located within walking distance to Japan Town and about 15 minutes to Ben Thanh. There are pubs, restaurants, massage parlours and shops within the vicinity. Checking in and out was smooth with friendly staff. Bed was good albeit a bit soft but comfortable. Air conditioning good, water pressure strong and room was large. Breakfast was adequate with Vietnamese, Western and Japanese food. They also provide daily welcome drinks. Guests can obtain the voucher from the reception. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay and I shall return when I visit HCMC.

Pham Ngu Lao Street Area Ho Chi Minh City|1.39km from city center
location is right outside bui vien walking street but its not noisy in the hotel. perfect if you want to stay near the area. a bit of a walk/journey to the other attractions like ben tanh market/saigon central post office but still good. AC was not very cold so it was kind of disappointing. there’s also no lift to the reception so you have to go down and up some stairs. otherwise, its an affordable stay and you get what you pay for.

Its my first time to HCM and I was very happy that I chose this hotel. Everything was high standard, the room, the service and especially the people. Kelly and Ryan, the receptionist were ere really friendly and very accommodating. Rosa and Nick, the staff, are both very helpful and warm. Zero complaints, will book this hotel again and will recommend to my friends and family.
