I drove to EAST Beijing this time. The hotel shares an underground parking lot with INDIGO Beijing Shopping Center, and levels B2 and B3 have plenty of spaces, so no need to worry about finding a spot. I’d recommend parking in zone H, as it's closer to the hotel entrance. The entrance itself is specially decorated in bright yellow, making it both striking and inviting.
The lobby at EAST Beijing is incredibly stylish, with many creative sculptures that made me feel like I’d stumbled into an art gallery disguised as a hotel lobby, hahaha.
During check-in, Alan at the front desk enthusiastically upgraded my room and meticulously explained the locations of the gym, restaurant, and other facilities. I felt truly valued and welcomed.
The guestroom doors at EAST Beijing have a hidden design, blending seamlessly with the walls. This not only gave a smoother visual impression but, combined with the warm, non-direct lighting, also enhanced the sense of continuity in the hotel corridors.
I stayed in a king-size room, which was generally spacious with excellent amenities. Since this is the Year of the Horse, the corridor walls were specially adorned with a floating watercolor painting titled 'Dream Horse,' instantly adding a rich artistic ambiance to the room. Furthermore, because I had contacted the hotel’s housekeeping department beforehand to request a quiet room, they specifically selected a room for me that was far from the elevators and not adjacent to staff passages or linen rooms. They also prepared welcome fruits and a handwritten card, which made me feel right at home and was incredibly thoughtful. There was even complimentary lip balm on the nightstand, which was a lifesaver for someone like me whose lips often get chapped!

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Wangfujing. There are many snack shops, restaurants and a few hair salons next to and in front of the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, assisting us with hailing a taxi and showing us how to get to the various attractions. The hotel even provided a small map to guide us on foot to and from the Palace Museum.
Very special is this hotel very family friendly, the have connecting room for the family to stay in, for us, we can take care of our girls without open the door and go to another room.
The daily housekeeping was very thorough. The female housekeeper responsible for our rooms 715 and 716 was particularly friendly, attentive, and responsible. My daughter accidentally spilled soy milk on the carpet and bed; I informed her, and she promised to handle it. When we returned to the room that evening, the carpet and bed were spotless, without any smell or stains. We were very satisfied with the hotel's service. It's also super close to the Wangfu Century Ancient Style Makeup Studio, so after getting my Qing or Ming dynasty look done, I could head straight into the park for photos – everything flowed incredibly smoothly. The hotel was exceptionally generous with complimentary bottled water; I've stayed in countless hotels and never seen so much provided, so I didn't need to bring any of my own. The lobby amenities were thoughtful and complete, with a 24-hour self-service coffee machine and even building blocks for kids. The only thing I was unhappy with was their internet 🛜 – it's really bad and often disconnects, especially in the bathroom. As soon as you enter, the Wi-Fi drops. As a star-rated hotel, the sense of luxury is absolutely top-notch, and the experience was fantastic.
The location truly deserves praise; it's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. You can walk to Metro Lines 5 and 1, making travel completely effortless. Just 50 meters to the left from the hotel entrance, there's a shopping mall with so many shopping and dining options that it's hard to choose. All your shopping and eating needs are easily met~
The room was an even bigger surprise. It was exceptionally spacious, bright, and well-lit. The floor-to-ceiling window offered an excellent view; lying down and admiring the scenery was incredibly comfortable. The facilities were also comprehensive, and the pillows and mattress were perfectly comfortable. I slept like a baby, straight through till morning – the relaxation was first-class.
Breakfast is also worth mentioning. There was a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, with plenty of choices, making every morning meal very satisfying.
The staff were consistently warm and polite, always thinking of the guests, and their service was incredibly thoughtful. They definitely deserve a big thumbs up!

The exterior features tightly packed natural bamboo poles, complemented by a black sloping roof. Walking along the forest path, you can see the building softly blending into the mountains and woods from a distance, without appearing out of place at all.
The most stunning feature is the independent outdoor bamboo tea room. Bamboo columns enclose a semi-transparent space with white sand covering the ground. Through the bamboo gaps, you can gaze at the mountains and forest. Sitting quietly and enjoying tea here creates an incredibly atmospheric experience, perfect for photos.
The public areas boast large floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the green trees outside like natural landscape paintings. During the day, light and shadows filter into the rooms through the bamboo poles, creating ever-changing scenery.
Practical Tips for Your Stay:
1. The room offers excellent privacy. It's a standalone building surrounded by dense trees, away from the hustle and bustle of public areas. It's ideal for those seeking quiet relaxation, couples on a getaway, or small gatherings of friends.
2. The building materials are natural bamboo, so there's a natural bamboo and wood scent. If you're sensitive to slight color variations or textures in natural materials, please be aware of this beforehand. 1. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering fresh air and truly beautiful surroundings. It's a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, and the hotel's decor and maintenance are quite good. Our butler, Bella, was incredibly meticulous and thoughtful, taking care of every little detail. She met all our needs, making our stay exceptionally comfortable.
2. There's a wide array of facilities and activities, including a mountainside hot spring, indoor pool, Hatha yoga, singing bowl therapy, a gym, and a kids' club. It's perfect for families, and the kids' club is large and newly renovated – it just reopened in May. It's definitely more fun than the kids' clubs at other hotels I've visited. Plus, children aged 4 and up can be supervised for free, which made my little one super happy!
3. The room key card came with a park map, showing hiking trails. There's an easy 5-kilometer mountain boardwalk, perfect for families, where you can visit the Eight Planets viewing platforms.

Gubei Water Town was pretty decent for this is a replica town build for tourist in 2013 if not mistaken. Night scene was great with laser and drone show illuminating the sky. The room facilities and hygiene are generally good. The food and service haven't changed much over time; they're consistently decent.
Regarding the wooden stool in the private hot spring tub, I'd suggest that housekeeping remove it during cleaning to drain and dry it. Every time I stay, I have to take it out and rinse it myself to wash off the black fibrous material that accumulates on the legs.
This time, I felt that some of the staff in the restaurant, at the front desk, and in housekeeping might be new (both male and female). Their communication was a bit stiff – like they were unfamiliar with the situation, easily startled, and nervous. While understandable, it was noticeable to have several such instances.

I had the chance to experience this 'classic' renowned hotel, and I found it quite good. Although it's a bit old and some of the facilities are dated, especially in the apartment rooms, the cleanliness is commendable and the service is excellent. The apartment rooms, despite their traditional decor and older equipment, are spacious and well-suited for families. The standard rooms have been renovated with a more modern style and contemporary amenities. While smaller, they are very comfortable to stay in. I specifically requested a high floor for a better view! I also sampled the food at 'Changan One' and 'Tea Source,' ordered a birthday cake from 'Su Yuan,' and tried the breakfast buffet. All were very satisfying. The Kung Pao Chicken at Changan One was particularly unique, and the fried chicken wings at Tea Source were similar to spicy fried chicken. The breakfast offered a rich variety, and the freshly prepared dishes were great. I was especially pleased with the gym and particularly the swimming pool. I went for a swim in the morning when it was less crowded. The pool is very large, making for a pleasant swim, and there's also a massage pool, dry sauna, and wet sauna, perfect for relaxation. Title: Great Location, But Triple Occupancy Details Missed the Mark
Body: We brought our child to Beijing for the summer holiday in early July and booked the Jinglun Hotel. What attracted us was its excellent location – close to Guomao (CBD) and the subway station, making it convenient to get anywhere. After staying there, the location indeed lived up to expectations, and the room was more spacious than we imagined.
However, one small detail was a bit uncomfortable: We checked in as three people, but upon entering the room, we found only two sets of toothbrushes. We had to call the front desk to get the third set. Summer holidays are peak season for family travel, so triple rooms or family rooms should, by default, be equipped with three sets of toiletries. Having guests ask for them feels a bit reactive.
Other aspects were fine. The bedding was clean, and the air conditioning cooled down quickly, which was important since Beijing was already quite hot in early July. The front desk staff was pleasant during check-out, but I hope these small details can be paid attention to in the future. My top choices for Beijing used to be the Mandarin Oriental, The Peninsula, or the Four Seasons, but now I’m definitely a Rosewood convert.
2. I particularly loved the 6th-floor wellness area. The pool and gym are separated, and the interplay of sunlight and water reflections is both beautiful and relaxing. The gym is spacious with diverse equipment. One afternoon, I even coincidentally saw a top-tier Chinese celebrity discreetly working out there.
