We got from Beijing by bus and taxi, and back by H23 and 619 express buses. At Alipay, you must switch to buses and remember to swipe your QR code when entering and exiting. At the counter, with the help of a translator, they helped us understand which cable car we needed and generally answered all our questions. Everything was great; we really enjoyed it! You can get tickets and postcards at the ticket office, and then they'll show you where you need to go. There were transparent postcards to choose from. If you want stamps, only one is free. If you want to go on the toboggan, you'll have to wait in a long line at the top, but it's worth it! If you want to go on the toboggan, you need to buy a ticket for the OPEN LIFT at the counter downstairs. The toboggan ride is included in the ticket, as it's handled by the same company. Overall, a five-star review – I really love this hotel. I'm a foreign tourist and I've traveled to over thirty provinces and ninety cities across China. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and have also recommended it to my friends and family.
The hotel's biggest advantage is its excellent hygiene. The rooms are spotless, and the bathrooms are equipped with smart toilets, which as a foreigner, I particularly appreciate.
I do have two issues I'd like to bring to the hotel's attention:
First, the takeaway delivery policy. For food safety reasons, the hotel doesn't allow robots to deliver food to guest rooms, so I have to go downstairs to pick it up every time I order. Several times, by the time I get my food, it's already completely cold. Sometimes, it's really inconvenient to go downstairs to pick up food right after showering. My suggestion to the hotel is this: You could prepare a food safety waiver. Guests who voluntarily sign it would acknowledge and accept the food safety risks themselves, allowing robots to deliver food to their rooms. This would both maintain the hotel's management requirements and be more convenient for guests.
Second, the bathroom scale in my room is broken and inaccurate. I weigh 180 jin, but the scale showed only 40 jin – the numbers are completely off.

I booked a luxury king room for one night. Ctrip stated the room size was 40-45 square meters, but realistically, room 2129 felt more like 20 square meters at best. There's no way it was 40-45 square meters; I feel like I completely wasted over 1400 RMB. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, only a shower and toilet. The sink area was also tiny, not even big enough to put a makeup bag on. For a room costing over 1400 RMB with breakfast included, it felt more like a 3 or 4-star hotel in the 400-600 RMB range the moment I walked in. My business partners have offices in this building, and international colleagues have stayed here before. This hotel is also on the pricier side compared to others in the area, so I thought it would be very upscale. I chose to stay here the night before an early meeting nearby, but the overall experience was quite poor. The room size and facilities are not comparable to other five-star hotels at all. Furthermore, the bar right next to the front desk on the first floor was incredibly noisy at night, like a street food stall, completely lacking the ambiance expected of a five-star hotel. I'm not sure what this hotel's positioning is. The air conditioning in the room was extremely loud, making it almost impossible to sleep with it on. The curtains also had very poor blackout, and I was woken up at 5 AM by the light leaking through. Moreover, when an international colleague stayed here, they mentioned the air conditioning might not have been cleaned, as they started coughing on the second day and were later diagnosed with a lung infection. The biggest highlight of the Xinqiao Hotel is its extremely convenient location – directly opposite Chongwenmen Subway Station (where Lines 2 and 5 intersect). It's incredibly easy to get to Wangfujing, Tiananmen Square, and Beijing Railway Station by subway or bus. Plus, there are malls like New World nearby.
However, the facilities are indeed quite dated. After all, it's an old hotel that opened in 1954, and some rooms have dim lighting. Some room types are windowless, which can feel a bit stuffy if you haven't confirmed beforehand. I personally recommend getting a room with a window.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Wangfujing. There are many snack shops, restaurants and a few hair salons next to and in front of the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, assisting us with hailing a taxi and showing us how to get to the various attractions. The hotel even provided a small map to guide us on foot to and from the Palace Museum.
Very special is this hotel very family friendly, the have connecting room for the family to stay in, for us, we can take care of our girls without open the door and go to another room.
The daily housekeeping was very thorough. The female housekeeper responsible for our rooms 715 and 716 was particularly friendly, attentive, and responsible. My daughter accidentally spilled soy milk on the carpet and bed; I informed her, and she promised to handle it. While there was an initial misunderstanding due to a hygiene concern which caused distress on our first night stay that I had to escalate the matter through Trip.com, the hotel manager turned the experience around. The night before check-out, we had a genuine and positive conversation at the lobby. She was humble and openly acknowledged her shortcomings and appreciated for helping her learn and grow as a leader. Good to know that a manager willing to take accountability and desire to improve. Returning to Beijing after more than a year, I stayed alone at the Hyatt Regency Wangjing this time. The hotel was just as I remembered it: quiet, tranquil, and imbued with an Oriental aesthetic. The service was attentive but never intrusive, striking just the right balance.
I went swimming again, and although the pool is on the basement level, Kengo Kuma ingeniously used the elevation difference of the small park behind to incorporate natural scenery into the view. Swimming there became an aesthetic pleasure. This pool also witnessed my transformation from 80kg to 55kg; it felt like my life was being 'rejuvenated' along with it.

A truly great vacation isn't about an abundance of facilities, excessive service, or a high-brow experience. It's about that genuine sense of relaxation it gives you. During our two days at The Brickyard, we saw so many smiling faces. Everyone was happy, whether they were staying, dining, or just hanging out. You see glazed tile elements everywhere, and the design language in every corner, from the tile kilns, chimneys, and caves, to the flooring decorated with shattered glazed tiles. The former glazed tile factory has been reborn. There's no TV here, and while there's a gym, hot springs, spa, and nail salon, the facilities themselves fade into the background. Check-in, afternoon tea, breakfast, dinner, the rooms, the transportation – everything was perfect, just like coming home. It’s only 1 kilometer from Mutianyu Great Wall, and the hotel provided a private car transfer and even gifted us tickets. In the evenings there’s a bonfire, and in the afternoons, handicraft activities – absolutely no dull moments. The hotel is located in Bohai Town, nestled in a small mountain valley, with an abundance of negative oxygen ions and far from the noise of the 'Sleepless Valley.' All you hear are birds chirping, and you see the distant Great Wall and chestnut trees everywhere. Oh, and laughter, of course. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

Took my child and dog for a three-day, two-night getaway during the Children's Day holiday. I'd pre-booked two nights in a pet-friendly room on Ctrip.
🏨 Every staff member I encountered at the hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful! This includes the front desk lady, the bellboy who helped me with my leash, the housekeeping lady who brought items to my room, the cleaner, and the chef at breakfast who made noodles and fried eggs on the first day and 'huoshao' (a type of baked flatbread) on the second.
The pet-friendly room was clean, hygienic, and odor-free, with no bugs. They provided plenty of pet supplies. 🐶 The hotel has an outdoor area for walking dogs; it's not huge but feels quite safe. The outdoor children's playground, however, needs some renovation. It used to be functional, but now it feels a bit neglected.
🥣 The breakfast variety on holidays is only slightly more extensive than on weekdays. Since I stayed two days, I experienced both. Overall, the breakfast quality, compared to other resort-style Regencys, is quite a bit lower. The made-to-order items tasted good, but the pre-made, heated dishes were very ordinary. I hope they can increase the variety and improve the quality.
🎠 The Qibabu Paradise tickets were complimentary. For a six-and-a-half-year-old, it's a bit too childish. It would have been perfect when my child was around three years old.
♨️ You can access the hot spring directly from the hotel without going outdoors. The hot spring tickets were also complimentary. The cleanliness there was just so-so. Although staff members were cleaning, it felt superficial. It doesn't help if they don't change the water or clean the pools. There were many pools, but not all were open.
