3 Benefits of Shanghai Disneyland Early Entry

1. Enjoy Popular Rides With Shorter Lines

Early Entry gives you the chance to visit selected attractions before the regular crowds arrive.

Popular rides such as Soaring Over the Horizon, TRON Lightcycle Power Run and Pirates of the Caribbean can have long waiting times later in the day. Entering early may help you complete several major attractions before the park becomes busy.

This is especially useful if you only have one day at Shanghai Disneyland.

2. Take Photos With Fewer People Around

Shanghai Disneyland can become crowded during regular operating hours, especially around popular landmarks and themed areas.

Early Entry gives you more space to take photos before larger crowds enter. You may also find it easier to capture clear photos of the park, attractions and Disney decorations without too many people in the background.

3. Make Family Trips More Comfortable

Long lines and large crowds can be tiring for families travelling with young children.

Entering early lets families explore the park while it is still quieter. It may be easier to move around with a stroller, visit family-friendly rides and take breaks before the busiest part of the day.

🏨 Pro Tip: Don’t forget to looks for Shanghai hotels near major attractions to make your sightseeing more convenient!

3 Tips for Using Shanghai Disneyland Early Entry

1. Check the App Before Entering

Download the Shanghai Disney Resort Official App before your visit.

You can use it to manage your tickets, view the park map and check attraction waiting times. Before entering, choose the rides you want to visit first and prepare a simple route.

This will help you avoid wasting your limited Early Entry time deciding where to go.

2. Plan Your Transport in Advance

Check how long it takes to travel from your hotel to Shanghai Disneyland.

Try to arrive before the Early Entry period begins. Guests staying at an official Disney hotel should also check the hotel shuttle bus schedule and boarding location.

Leaving early gives you extra time for passport checks, security screening and queues at the park entrance.

3. Divide Tasks When Travelling in a Group

Travelling with friends or family? Assign simple tasks before entering the park.

One person can monitor waiting times in the app, while another checks the map and plans the next attraction. This can help your group make faster decisions during the limited Early Entry period.

However, make sure everyone stays together when required for ticket checks and attraction entry.

Is Shanghai Disneyland Early Entry Worth It?

Early Entry requires an additional payment unless it is included with your Disney hotel stay. Whether it is worth buying depends on your travel plans.

I've always wanted to take my mom to Disneyland, and this year happened to be Shanghai Disneyland's 10th anniversary. Plus, I had some business to attend to in Shanghai for the past two months, so I booked the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel to celebrate my mom's birthday. I booked an Executive Room, and upon arrival, we went straight to the 7th-floor lounge for check-in. The next day was my mom's birthday, and the front desk lady gave her a birthday pin and sticker as a small gift. Although the gift wasn't expensive, my mom was very happy and carefully put it away. Oh, and the short-haired female employee in the lounge, I only remember her last name is Zhang, had an excellent attitude. She explained everything in great detail and patiently assisted with an elderly person's needs. If the hotel sees this review, please commend this young lady. The breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening light meals for the Executive Room are served in the King's Club. I think the food is good, not like some people say there's nothing to eat. They have both Chinese and Western options, and the dishes are all well-prepared. Especially the cheese, smoked salmon, and cold cuts of ham, which are fresher than the offerings in many international chain hotels' lounges. The Chinese cold dishes like sweet and sour pork ribs, drunken shrimp, and drunken pork belly were all delicious. For the evening light meal, there's freshly made pasta with three sauce options; I prefer the white sauce. The room has a very standard layout. The Executive Room's twin bed size is the same as non-executive rooms; it just comes with executive benefits. When we arrived, there was still one room available with a garden view. Although it wasn't a perfect spot, my mom and I thought it was perfectly fine; there's no need to be so picky. You can't always get the best of everything. What I was most satisfied with in the room, for a 10-year-old hotel, was that the air conditioning was not noisy. This is very important to me because I don't sleep well, and many hotel air conditioners are very loud, but I'm also very afraid of the heat and can't go without AC. Some old hotels have terrible AC, but I'm very satisfied with the one at Disneyland. You can barely hear any sound. Overall, I'm very satisfied, and the price wasn't expensive for the summer holiday period. I've already decided to come back for my dad's birthday next year.

This is our second stay at this hotel, and again, we were visiting Disney with our child. The location is fantastic; being located within the Disney resort, it's less than a 10-minute walk to the park entrance. The service is excellent, and the in-room service is very prompt. The hotel's decor is beautiful, on par with many popular Instagrammable hotels, featuring an old Shanghai house style, yet it doesn't feel dated. The restaurant is also great and very refined.

Traveling alone with four children, I booked a tatami room at Hyakuman-goku. The room was larger than expected, and the hotel has a beautiful view. The best part, however, was the service. All the staff were incredibly gentle, attentive, warm, meticulous, and patient. They proactively and promptly met all our needs (extra yukata, extra bath towels, extra toiletries, extra slippers, even carrying my 50+ lb child upstairs...). The hotel's shuttle bus to Disney was very comfortable, clean, and convenient. The hot springs are separate for men and women, and the water temperature was perfect. The outdoor bath had a wonderful view; enjoying the summer evening breeze while listening to the sounds of insects and water was incredibly relaxing.

Location is perfect if you want to go Disney. 100% will recommend anyone who travels to Shanghai for Disneyland to choose this wonderful home stay. Note: I didn’t take any photos of my room during my stay but I’ve uploaded pictures from their listing m.

I give a huge thumbs up to the service at the Play All Hotel! As soon as we arrived, staff at the entrance helped us with our luggage and directed us to the baggage storage. I had already completed the online check-in, and they proactively informed us about the half-day passes and early park entry options when we arrived. Once we had our room number, our luggage was delivered directly to our room, and even express deliveries were brought right inside. The guest services center was always smooth, efficient, and incredibly responsive to any request we had. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job; everything was spotless, and we even found a handwritten note from the staff. Water and other consumables were replenished on demand. The mattress was comfortable, the bedding was cozy, and the 1.5-meter bed was quite spacious. They also have a shuttle bus service with very frequent departures, and the staff would even help lift strollers on and off. The recreation center staff at Play All Hotel organized a variety of engaging activities for the children, playing with them and even having interactive sessions with characters like Buzz Lightyear and Woody. They also offered hotel tours for kids, fridge magnet making, and clay activities. On B1, you can even buy ice cream and chocolate lollipops. Overall, the experience at Play All Hotel was superb and perfect for families. All the service staff were proactive in greeting us and responded to our needs immediately. It was an unbeatable experience, and I'll definitely be staying here again.

This Disney homestay really won me over! 🎀 For my recent trip to Disney, I discovered an amazing guesthouse that I absolutely have to recommend to everyone! 🏠 Guesthouse Name: Shanghai Ruyi Pavilion Special Guesthouse 📍 Location: Super close to Disney, about a 10-minute drive. The owner offers shuttle service, which is incredibly convenient! 🌳 Environment: The room is decorated very warmly, the bedding is comfortable, and the hygiene is really well-maintained. 💁♀️ Service: The owner is so enthusiastic and thoughtful! 🍽 Dining: The breakfast selection is good, and everything tastes great. 💰 Value for money: Among guesthouses around Disney, the price is genuinely fair. It's hard to find such good facilities and service at a similar price point. Staying at this guesthouse really added a lot to my Disney trip. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Disney!

It's very close to Disneyland, less than a ten-minute drive. The owners, a husband and wife, are incredibly kind. They provide pick-up and drop-off service to and from Disneyland, ask about your departure time every day, and also pick you up and drop you off from the subway station. You don't need to worry about finding a taxi at all. They even told us how to enjoy the rides; they were very welcoming. The rooms are quite spacious, and it's quiet at night. The cats in the yard are adorable and friendly.

【High-Value Family B&B Experience Near Disney】A Perfect Holiday Home for Two Adults and Two Children. Parents bringing their kids to Disney, listen up! This original B&B by Mr. Gao & Ms. Feng is definitely worth saving! As first-time Disney visitors, our whole family had an unexpectedly wonderful experience: **Space Magician**: The 40+ sqm space is incredibly well-utilized. The slide in the room made the kids scream with delight the moment they walked in! My 6-year-old and 4-year-old immediately turned the slide area into their secret base. Sleeping on the 1.8-meter main bed with mom was completely comfortable for both kids, and dad got plenty of rest on the bottom bunk of the 1.2-meter bunk bed. **Parent-Child Detail Obsessive's Dream**: Corner protectors and outlet covers are fully equipped. The children's showerhead is at just the right height, and a thoughtful step stool is provided at the washbasin. Details truly matter here. **Behind-the-Scenes Dedication**: The owner personally cleans all rooms and public areas. All linens are washed in-house, not outsourced. Toiletries, drinking water, and snacks are all high-quality brands, often the same ones the owners or their children use. So, features like a wet/dry separation bathroom, Laifen hairdryer, and JmGO projector, which would be praised elsewhere, almost go unnoticed here. **Hidden Disney Tips**: The owner provided many practical tips for our park visit, saving us a lot of trouble! At checkout, my daughter was given a small drink, which she said tasted great, and kept asking her mom to buy more on the way home. **Suggestions for Improvement**: I hope a detachable bed rail can be added to the side of the bed (for more peace of mind when sleeping with younger children). Providing stroller rental would be even better. Although slightly more expensive than surrounding B&Bs, enjoying private butler-style service for 200 RMB per person is incredibly good value! We didn't get to experience the large lawn in the yard, the mini-pool in the backyard, or the rooftop terrace this time, but they've left us plenty to look forward to. It looks like our accommodation for our second Disney trip in a few years has already been pre-booked!

I visited Qianyun after looking at dozens of places in the area. I wanted to be away from typical city area, have a bathtub and nice outdoor area, and with easy access to Shanghai Disneyland. Qianyun met all those requirements and more! The location was immediately very serene and surrounded by forest, but still easy to access lots of waimai food delivery options. They were also very kind and proactive about sharing information about local restaurants and activities, and provide a breakfast and evening fruit every day. They offer free car transport to Disneyland, and I was excited to use this service but I ended up enjoying my time at the hotel so much that I opted to stay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere instead! The hotel pets are so friendly - within five minutes the little cat Banban was on my lap and purring. The room itself is decorated very nicely with all the amenities you need. The bathtub inside is very comfortable and I loved the outdoor hot spring tub as well. The attention to hygiene is very highly emphasized and I was impressed with how clean and luxurious everything felt. I will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone hoping to have a convenient getaway from the city, or who would like to be near to Disneyland Resort while also experiencing a more peaceful area and for a good economical value and high quality service! The hotel rooms are really unique, with options like RVs and treehouses. However, since they're nestled in the woods and gardens, and close to water, combined with Shanghai's humid climate, the rooms can feel a bit damp. If you can handle the humidity, it's a great experience, especially for people who appreciate individuality. Falling asleep to the sound of crickets at night is a definite plus.

The courtyard is elegant and quiet, and the rooms are beautifully designed with great natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding is comfortable, and the cleanliness is top-notch. The smart room control system gets full marks. The service is thoughtful and attentive; the host is very responsive and always ready to help. It offers excellent value for money and is truly a hidden gem among the accommodations near Shanghai Disneyland. I'll definitely be back for a second stay!

The hotel provides a shuttle to and from Disneyland, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast from 7-9am, clean linens, complimentary water, a kettle, towels (7 for two), a toothbrush, hot water, and working air conditioning (we slept warmly). There's a convenience store 50 meters away from us that's open all day until 9:30pm. The lovely woman working there makes delicious sweet buns. We paid only 33 yuan (less than 400 rubles) for a whole bag. The hotel's location is slightly different from where the GPS showed us; the building is lower, by the water, but the owner's neighbor quickly called him and they picked us up. The room is cleaned and always ready to help. I don't understand why there are several bad reviews, because for the price, this place has everything! We want to say a big thank you for the amenities provided, and I highly recommend it!

The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to Disneyland. However, the breakfast is quite mediocre, so I wouldn't recommend it. The rooms are sufficiently spacious. This hotel primarily caters to short-term guests visiting Disneyland. The surrounding area has plenty of BBQ stalls and snack vendors, so you'll never go hungry if you get hungry at night. The front desk staff were very attentive and responsive, always ready to answer questions and assist with requests. The housekeeping staff were also very kind and personable. For a family trip, I found it perfectly suitable. Of course, you get what you pay for, and it certainly can't compare to the much pricier hotels right at Disneyland. Five stars! I'll definitely stay here again on my next Disneyland visit.

Important Tips for Using Shanghai Disneyland Early Entry

Arrive Before the Early Entry Time. Reach the park early to allow enough time for security checks, passport verification, and queues at the entrance. Check the official opening hours before your visit because park schedules may change.

Bring Your Original Passport. Carry the original passport used when booking or linking your ticket. Make sure the name and passport number on your booking are correct, as a photo or photocopy may not be accepted.

Download the Official App. Use the Shanghai Disney Resort Official App to link your ticket, view the park map, and check live attraction waiting times. Plan your route before entering so you do not waste the limited Early Entry period.

Choose Your First Ride in Advance. Decide which popular attraction you want to visit first, such as TRON Lightcycle Power Run, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, or Soaring Over the Horizon. Go directly to your priority ride after entering.

Check the Available Attractions. Not every ride, shop, or themed area opens during Early Entry. Participating attractions may change depending on the season, maintenance schedule, and park operations.

Prepare Your Ticket and Early Entry Pass. The Early Entry Pass does not replace your regular park ticket. You must have valid Shanghai Disneyland admission together with an eligible Early Entry Pass or qualifying Disney hotel benefit.

Plan Your Transportation Early. Check the travel time from your hotel and leave earlier than usual. Guests staying at Shanghai Disneyland Hotel or Toy Story Hotel should confirm the hotel shuttle schedule and boarding point before departure.

Divide Tasks When Travelling in a Group. One person can check waiting times while another follows the park map and plans the next attraction. This helps your group make faster decisions during the limited Early Entry period.
